Well, there's pros and cons to this. The only Pro is that the human isn't getting scratched. The cons to this is that the Cat is confused and feels like it's being punished, which can cause anxiety and permanent damage to it's trust for humans. It is cruel, and inhumane, there are other ways to bathe a cat. Hold the scruff of their neck and they won't budge, it calms them down.

You're putting them in a box where they're breathing in water vapor contaminated with soap and bubbles, the humidity would be significantly worse than sitting in a sauna for a while, which is a dangerous occupation for anyone with a weak chest. It massively increases the potential for pneumonia or nasty lung infections - it's a horrible (and terrifying) thing to do to your pet.

@chukoxix As I said, had my own fair share of cats in my life and all had different personalities. Not one of them I would have put through sth like this. Helped out in a cat shelter as well and all cats were handled by hand! All got washed when they arived, to treat for fleas or other skin conditions. It is possible to wash all personalities of cats BY HAND. No cat needs this!!

@EedDeryi The only reason my cats get washed, is because of flees. In the cat shelter they do got washed all when they arrived, both for flees and other skin conditions off course. Other then that, a cat most certainly don't need a wash, they clean themselves pretty well and usually don't smell. If a cat stops cleaning itself, it's time to take it to a vet, urgently.

I'll say one thing about a machine like this. If you have a very difficult pet when giving it a bath or just one that has a mean streak, this is a great way to break that difficult spirit and turn a mean cat into a sweetie. I had a cat that hated to be held, but after about 6 months of forcing him to be held, he became accustomed to it and was the greatest cuddle kitty I ever had.

oh, good grief.. this isn't animal cruelty. Cats freak out about EVERYTHING! But if my cat got into something outside and actually needed a bath, then I'd much rather take him here than face the wrath of his claws (that would be human abuse XP) it's not hurting him in any way, shape, or form.. he just doesn't like it. Everybody has to do things they don't like, for their own good.

@ebonifragaria Then you shouldn't have a cat indeed. My cat doesn't get THAT stressed out when I take him to the vet. He's nice and calm and we can actually handle him. And I can also wash my cats without having to fear the claws, it's just a way of handling your cat and I can tell ya, he likes being washed by hands much more then I can see this cat 'enjoying' himself.

@chukoxix As I said, had my own fair share of cats in my life and all had different personalities. Not one of them I would have put through sth like this. Helped out in a cat shelter as well and all cats were handled by hand! All got washed when they arived, to treat for fleas or other skin conditions. It is possible to wash all personalities of cats BY HAND. No cat needs this!!

Just by saying this is not cruel in your info does not make it OK... You put the cat in there, you filmed it & you added the music... That cat was terrified for a long period of time.. by your choice to put him in there.. that is cruelty in my book. Animals are not cars, either bath your animal yourself or take him to a pet groomer if the animal even needs it in the first place..

@EedDeryi The only reason my cats get washed, is because of flees. In the cat shelter they do got washed all when they arrived, both for flees and other skin conditions off course. Other then that, a cat most certainly don't need a wash, they clean themselves pretty well and usually don't smell. If a cat stops cleaning itself, it's time to take it to a vet, urgently.

Cat's just hate water, they have the same reaction when you wash them by hand. I'm a little tempted to use this on my cat because hand washing her is IMPOSSIBLE, first off she's HUGE, she cannot be held because she'll bite you, and she has super sharp claws that can claw through the leather hawk gloves I bought just to pick her up and brush her.

I'll say one thing about a machine like this. If you have a very difficult pet when giving it a bath or just one that has a mean streak, this is a great way to break that difficult spirit and turn a mean cat into a sweetie. I had a cat that hated to be held, but after about 6 months of forcing him to be held, he became accustomed to it and was the greatest cuddle kitty I ever had.

@qender I can definitely see why this is needed. I get scratched to all fucking hell when I go to bathe my cat and he is as friendly as they come; and they are not little scratches either. He just hates the goddamn water. I end up resorting to trapping him in the bathroom and holding him down while I wear fucking welding gloves. I look more like a murderer than a happy pet owner and it sucks that I have to resort to that. But, he has to be cleaned every so often since I let him outside.
