I actually really enjoy the gears franchise except after a while, the community on gears of war 2 started sucking balls and all i could get was a lag match. (it wasnt my connection because every one else bitched about it as well) I really hope that they fix the online with this and make some freakin dedicated servers. Brumak ride was awsome.

Gears 2 Teased us with an Epic Battle Trailer where Marcus rushes into a giant locust battle with 100s of enemies on screen---THAT NEVER happened in the final game. And if it did, you were either in a car shooting or a Brumak---REALLY dissatisfied with that tease and no "Epicness" huge battle scene. Hopefully this trailer lives somewhat to it's final build regarding big scale battles otherwise I'll be playing Reach for quite awhile....

Halo teased us with live action trailers that were ten times as epic as any moment actually seen in the game... besides, that would suck to have that many Locusts at once. You'd just sit there in one place shooting at endless waves of enemies, it'd get boring. You need to progress through the game, and that''s no possible on foot when their are hundreds of enemies in front of you.

On Insane, popping out of cover for more than a few seconds gets you killed, especially when there are snipers. Halo 3's Legendary difficulty was the easiest highest difficulty I've ever played.

People like the cover system because it separates it from other games. It's not like you never need cover in games like Call of Duty or Team Fortress 2. You just don't have it as versatile as this. You act like you just sit there and blindfire. That will get you killed, you do have to move around a lot, even more-so than other games. I've rarely met a camper in GoW.

I played it quite often, like I would any other new video game, but it didn't take me long to see past the pretty graphics and lovely music to realize how dull and repetitive the actual gameplay was, and how limited the multiplayer was. GoW is pretty overrated, in my opinion, and I owned it for 2 years before finally selling for $0.
