Before you cry "fake" check out Mike Jittlov's marvelous Wizard of Speed and Time here on Youtube. It was made before special effects could be done on computer.

Most of it is CGI guys. For example, at 0:30 with the dragon thing in the pool, notice how slow the clouds are moving in comparison to how fast the shadows on the left move. The sun was moving way faster than the clouds. Also if you play close attention, you can tell the foliage is fake. Every cgi clip becomes so obvious, its one of those "CANNOT UNSEE" things.
