Marylin Manson has the Creepiness factor working for him in this version.

But Wonka (played by Gene Wilder, one of the best actors ever) did this song justice in an eerily disturbing fashion.

And it's mostly due to character. Manson is this creepy dark performer, but Wonka is supposed to be this sweet man who lives in a candy shop of wonders...and then he starts sining this demented song. Go figure.
