Hearing kris sound like this kind if gives me a feeling I can't really explain. Its frail, yet powerful at the same time. Same as johnny on his last recordings. really hits deep.
I use to listen to this song with my dad somehow I knew he just wasn't meant to be with us ? he loved my mom but never knew how to show it ? it's sad to remember them listening to this song looking at each other with addoration the next fighting? But then thats life! I still love them both!
We all have gotten older in the years, But the Greats stay Great, and we live with them in our hearts and memories..... We love you Kris Kristofferson...A Big Thank You for a Life time of music and movies , Thank you for the years of entertainment you have given us...... God Bless you..........
@texasbluegrassfan Ray Price recorded a version of the song which topped the U.S. country music charts and was awarded "Song of the Year" by the Academy of Country Music. "For the Good Times" was Price's fifth number one single and spent a total of nineteen weeks on the country chart. "For the Good Times" crossed over onto the pop chart peaking at number eleven, becoming Ray Price's only release to hit the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
@texasbluegrassfan This man flew a chopper into the front yard of Johnny Cash to deliver a tape of his songs. They went on to be lifelong friends, and you should stick with shutting up....

There are people who say, he can`t sing, but this IS singing.
The writer who sings his own songs.
I deeply respect these singers, like Cash, Kristofferson and i can go on and on.
But these folksongs are thè songs I like.
Yeah, this really hits deep.
And @swistone, MrPorkman is right.
Plenty more fish in the sea.
I unnderstand your feeling also.
I`ve been there.
