Oh... my... goodness. I just listened to your tribute to Simon Pieman (and cried) and immediately came on here to watch the tribute (and cried). I felt such a part of his story and loved the way you described everything. I loved how you told the details of what made him, him. A beautiful story of a beautiful soul. I'm so happy that he was able to bring such joy to your lives (and very obviously, Schuster's!!) - you've continued to inspire me in mine! Thank you, Colleen :)
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Beautiful tribute to a special little prince. I will strive to possess such grace when the transition comes for our kitties. They are the center of our universe :) Thank you Colleen.
I wish every animal in the world could have such a wonderful happy life as Simon. I will keep dreaming that dream and doing my part to help it come true some day!
I'm sure Simon will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge :)
That was a lovely homage to a kitty. You can see his love for you as well as the loving home you provided for him. So sorry for your loss.
My vet tells me that Black and White cats are special (and are actually a breed of feline) because they are so affectionate and very centered / focused on human activity. She currently has (5) B &W cats. I have had a B & W kitty and I know this to be true, he will always hold a special place in my heart and memory as Simon surely does in yours.
What a beautiful and touching tribute to a precious individual who filled your home and lives with love. Perhaps you'll meet again. In fact, I'm quite sure of it.
Thank you for sharing this lesson on how to let go the grief with grace. Your podcast regarding this will stay with me and hopefully aid me in the time my pet companions make that transition. In this way it is a gift from Simon as well.
Very beautiful tribute....I wish they didn't have to leave us....you made me cry.....I will remember Simon forever....he was so lucky to have you in his life! Bravo....life well lived Simon!
Colleen, I just wanted to thank you for your latest podcast and to say that I just lost my Cyrano unexpectedly on June 2nd. I was pregnant at the time so it was an emotional roller coaster to begin with and to say it was devastating is an understatement. I find strange solace in that my mother lost a cat when she was pregnant with me and I have think that they both passed away to help usher in the new life. My baby was just born and I placed a picture of him in her bedroom to watch over her
I see so much love in those pictures. I can tell Simon and Schuster were meant to find you. What an amazing connection that will last forever. Nothing compares to that kind of love. Sorry for you loss, Collen, David and Schuster.
I'm very sorry for your loss! It was Simon's great fortune to have you and your husband cherish him and honor his unique spirit right to the very end, and of course your great fortune have known him all his life. =) Bless you.
Wonderful pictures of Simon, especially the cute ones of him sleeping with Schuster (such as when they are back to back). I listened to your podcast tonight, and I am very sorry for your loss. This video is making me tear up so I will just close by saying I thank you so much Colleen for all you do and you have made me become more aware with my dog Sport.
Dear Colleen and David, I haven't had dry eyes for about an hour now after listening to the podcast episode and then racing over here to see pictures of your little ones! What more could a cat ask for then two committed, loving, vegan and activist caregivers? How wonderful a life Simon had! My thoughts are with you. Thank you for sharing such a precious life-story with us listeners! ( :
.... what to say.... Thank you David for the video. Colleen, you described Simon SO well... I felt like I knew him... Very inquisitive cat indeed. Always very "present" it seems... and his brother, they always look so close.. amazing.. animals are amazing. beautiful pictures, you can tell the love these cats gave and received.... May you enjoy Schuster for as long as possible. Take good care...
What a beautiful tribute :-) I love the fun backyard scene at 7:05; everyone's obviously so happy to be together and just hanging out. So much love! Great photos and music! Hugs to you all, xoxo Cathy
