  • very vey nice, im going to try this on my hair. If i used aloe vera gell would i get the same result?

  • Lovely, just Lovely!

  • Love it. I did it and it looks great! Thanks!

  • Hi jersey stylezz what did you use in growing your front hair out? In your last flat twist out video, you didn't have a lot of hair around your edges? I'm trying to grow mine out so looking for tips, help please!

  • @Mizchika I'm just a follower but I believe she used castor oil. Don't quote me though.

  • Girl Ya hair look banging im going to try that im so happy because ive been natural for a year and Ive been going crazy looking for style to do with my hair. THANK YOU !!!!!!

  • very very pretty:)

  • Beautiful!! I am about to try this now! I normally do the small two strand twist on my 4a/4b hair but it is extremely time consuming. So im gonna give this a shot. In the past Cantu did not provide me with any definition but i learned that I put too much cantu in my hair & didnt allow it to fully dry. Ill post a vid on my results! Pls subscribe & keep making vids! <3

  • You are so pretty, and this is one of the best flat twist outs I've seen. thank you!

  • Nice

  • I love this

  • I love this I've never done my twist out this way before but I'm definitely going to try it now. Your hair is so pretty!!! I love my 4a/4b hair so much more now that I can see what potential it has.

  • how long have u been natural? ur hair is super similar to mine!!!

  • Nice.. its just how mine was but i paid 55 to get it done...got to try it myself!!! Cant beat free!!!

  • OK so i keep everyone saying 4a and 4b hair how to i dianose my grade of hair.

  • This video helped me out sooo much!! Pulling the hair through DOES make all the difference in the world!! Thanks for doing this vid!

  • Thanks so much. I have a natural weave installed and I could not figure out how my weavologist twisted my hair to blend perfectly. This is it! Thanks again!

  • she kinda looks like Lauren London. The hair is Very Pretty!

  • Beautiful! :D

  • Love it! Love the makeup too!

  • This is like the best flat twist out i've seen so far.

  • love it

  • very naiz, thanks for sharing.

  • I just did this today aswell but on spritzed hair with some gel but yours reallyy did come out defined and i've only to flat twist in the last month so i'm hoping to get them as neat as yours :)

  • Very nice! You make me want to practice this again. I tried doing flat twists before but I got so frustrated and gave up because I couldn't get the twisting right. :-( ...I'm going to take my time this weekend and try again. Thanks for inspiring me! Wish me luck! :-)

  • Those ringlets r pop pop poppin

  • I looooooooooove your hair lol! i made an appointment to finally get rid of my relaxed ends...

  • I love it...and you know....you could even rock those flat twist. Your face holds the style very nicely...

  • Gorgeous! What happens if you lay down with it?

    Thanks

  • i love this video hopefully i will be able to do it successfully! also do u have a tattoo behind your ear? i was thinking of gettin one there..

  • @MzDimepiece90 Let me know how it goes for you. And yes, that is a tattoo behind my ear. Didn't hurt really...

  • I tried this last night (my first time EVER doing a natural style) and it turned out really nice. I went into this this with no knowledge, except for what I saw in your tutorial and I must say that it wasn't bad for my first time :)

  • Your hair turned out SWEET! Thanks for sharing!

  • Ooops! I didn't realize that the product that you use is YOUR product. Well, hopefully you'll still answer my question. And as I get more into this naturaly journey I will become a customer.

I told you that I was new--SUPER NEW!

  • I've watched this video so many times to learn how to do that 2 strand twists and I continue to fail big time, i'm not a hair stylist but i'm trying to get my hair healthy, my hair is soooo damaged it's sad :(, is there anything else to use besides the shea butter, it damaged my hair badly :(

  • @duffcola0622 i used products from the aphogee line to get my hair back to a healthy state ( i went from transitioning to natural with great results)

  • @HiMaintanenceGrl thanks babe

  • How long does this style last? What do you do at night to maintain it and avoid a "smashed" look?'

Also, I'm new to natural hair styles. I did my BC 5/09 and have just worn cornrolls under a lace front. Please let me know what the 4a/4b means. I see those sequences on a few different videos.

  • @sistaznecole It normally lasts about a whole week if I retwist. I just wear my bonnet at night and my hair does look smashed in the morning. With a ton of shaking and a little bit of moisturizer, my hair fills out again. The number sequences define your curl pattern. For instance, people with hair in the 3 category have S shaped curls while those in 4 normally have Z patterns. There are a ton of videos on here and other website that explain the hair patten thing. Check it out :)

  • @jerseystylezz I'm going to try this look over the weekend! The way I see it is if I do it Satuday night and it's not right, I'll just rewash it, cornroll and pop my lacefront back no!

I won't be able to order the products off of the site, so could you suggest what "every day" products would be second best? I'm not looking for perfection the first time--and I'm a bit too excited to wait =)

  • @jerseystylezz

How come your hair still looks wet after an entire night of that? WHat did you use?

  • @jerseystylezz Look at how much I've learned since this. I've come a long ways baby :)

  • Comment removed

  • This is my staple style. It is just so cute. I wear this style and when I need a break I do micro two strand twists that I let stay in for a week or so. My product to use for this style is the Jane Carter Solution Wrap and Roll.

  • i think u have a 4b/4c hair texture more like sponqey hair if that makes sense lol..your hair qrew well and its really beautiful..i cnt wait until my hair it that lenqth :)

  • We have very similar textures. I am definantly trying this style soon. It turned out beautiful.

  • Beautiful Hair!!! And I love this Video!! Thanks for posting it. :o)

  • your hair iis beautiful!

  • Cute!!!!

  • beautiful

  • what moisturizer setting product do you use? Is lusters pink moisturizer or palmers mousse setting & styling foam ok to use ?

  • @chantii789 I used cantu shea butter to moisturize and set this style. (Beware that it flakes if mixed with other products tho) :)

  • @jerseystylezz How do you get your edges to look so straight and non nappy lol. i am a 4a/b and my edges dont lay down they jus look nappy...jus wondering

  • @chantii789 pink oil is no good...it has mineral oil in it which is no good for ur hair

  • do u leave your hair wet before flat twisting it? or put in moisturizer first? cause my hair is like nappy nappy lol

  • @chantii789 My hair is damp and I apply the moisturizer/setting product before I twist.

  • Its been 4 mo since my BC. I only been using olive oil for moisture, and ion curl solution to get my curl. What are some more products you recommend?

  • @brycry2009 I love the SheaMoisture line. Lately it's been one of my favorites. They sell it at Target too. You can also try my shea/mango butter mix at simplynaturalyou website. :)

  • You are one of my top favorite naturals here on youtube and you make me want to go natural you are so pretty and I love when you do the twistouts they are so pretty on you!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love your hair, like others have said i believe i must have taken it down the wrong way, b/c it did not turn out like yours. Can you tell me that when it's time for you to refresh it, do you re-wash it and start over? or just re-twist it to your scalp using the cantu?

  • @lovinnatural I normally just spray my hair with water and use the cantu. I don't rewash it. Make sure you pull your hair all the way through when you do the twists. Also make sure that your hair is 100% dry when you take it down that that you take the twists down carefully. Your results will be better with this technique. Thanks!

  • how long have you been natural? love your hair

  • @MissFree2Live I've been natural for a year and 8 months now. Thanks :)

  • That is the best your hair has ever come out in a flat 2-strand twist out. Love it!!

  • This came out really good. I was wondering, after your twists do you sit under the dryer? If not, about how long does it take your hair to air dry completely?

  • @MsLarutan I did not sit under the dryer for this style. It takes at least 9 hours for my hair to dry so I recommend doing this in the evening and letting it dry over night.

  • WOW

  • very pretty

  • Super cute!

    Great job.

  • Did you have a consultation at a salon to know what your hair type and thus subsequent curl pattern would be? I wanna start doing my own thng but I wanna make sure I'm using the right products. Please help me becuase this style is rocking!

  • @aubsgirl7 No, I did research and figured out my hair type and pattern on my own. Although knowing your hair type and pattern can be helpful, it's definitely nothing to focus on too much. What works for one 4b lady, may not work for my 4b hair, so it's all about trial and error and learning your own hair. Thanks! :)

  • Great looking hair. I can't wait until mine grows out more. Keep the videos coming I enjoy them very much.

  • looks hott!! veery nice & u got the defined curls by using only the cantu shea butter?

  • @meeksj1 Yup, just the cantu for this style.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!! You do such an awesome job!!! So proud of you and your business btw :)

  • too cute!

  • I really like your makeup in this video and your hair turned out very cute....

  • So cute!!! I think that is my issue with braid otus or flat twist outs.. I dont really seperate each pice and that definitely has an effect on the results.. Thanks for pointing that out... I just usually make it a continuous piece!!! Very cute!!!

  • Oh just saw a comment on your hair being 4a.. you are a mixture of 4a/b. You could definitely see the 4b in your previous videos and now.. so no need to change the titles. People have the misconception that 4b hair cannot coil.. the longer your hair gets the more weighed down the coil. Also, many believe it to be rough and unmanageable.. and your hair isn't because you take care of it. So, you are 4a/b. Just letting you know not to listen to them lol..

  • @PrettyBrownEyes718 Thanks! I have to agree. I still say I'm a combo 4a and 4b texture. The front and back of my hair is clearly the 4a, but the rest for the most part is 4b. With my new regimen, my hair is definitely more managable, but hair types remain. Thanks again.

  • Very Nice!

  • This is supercute!

  • Jersey...Loved that flat twist out. I attempted to do mine the other day but ended up taking it down because the twists were bumpy and fuzzy. Now that I know the right technique, I will do a 2nd attempt using the Cantu. Love that stuff!

  • Great results.

  • yea gurl............i'm lovin it too...lol

  • I LOVE IT!!!!

  • Thank you so much! I have been really wanting to find some nice hairstyles for my hair and your hair is about the same texture and length as mine. This really helps me a lot.

  • u so pretty!

  • Very cute

  • thanks for explaining the flat twist process (pulling the hair all the way through & separating). now i know what i was doing wrong. i can cornrow but flat twists kept escaping me. absolutely beautiful results!!!! did you put a dark rinse in your hair or did the sunlight make it seem darker? gorgeous makeup too =]

  • @MegaHippychic I haven't put any color or rinse in my hair. I've noticed that my hair seems ultra dark since I went natural. I think it's b/c the relaxers, color, and sunlight was lightening my hair before. Thanks for the comment! :)

  • Brush the baby hair....brush the baby hair

  • its like all of us naturals have the same exact bonnet lol

  • @takeitorleaveit304

    Yeah, I noticed that! LOL

  • Girl I love that twistout it was definitely on point. Be Blessed!!

  • beautiful - you should do a makeup tutorial for this look!

  • Your hair is SLAMMIN!!! I love it!!! I didnt know cantu had holding power! Great vid!

  • Very cute!! I think our hair textures are close to the same. Mines looks like yours before you started flat twisting. Great video!! I need to practice more on my flat twisting. I think that this would take way less time than the individual twists. How long does your flat twist out last before re-doing it?

  • @deltadiva35 it's lasted 3 days before retwisting. I think it would have lasted 4, but since I worked out and my hair sweats even when I tie it down during work outs, it kind of puffed up my hair.

  • Beautiful results!!

  • that came out perfect. great job :)

  • waaaaa trop bo jador!!

  • your curls are soOoO pretty !!

    -SoNaturallyHair

  • Wow...such great twist out results! I love this!!!

  • VERY cute results!!! :-)

  • I love it! Your hair looks really cute with the flat twist to :-)

  • That definently makes sense thats why mine come out bushy I never pull my hair through..Thanks for that tip!!!

  • great twist out and the makeup, and the earrings are the bomb..could you do a make-up tutorial?? plz

  • dude i cant find cantu products anywhere

  • @joyariffic try ur local Walgreens, CVS, Walmart or Target...

  • You need to come to N.J. so you can do my flat twists because I have not have a great turnout yet.

  • @brnize1969 lol same with me.

  • This is very cute...makes me want to go play in my hair lol. unfortunately i don't have enough YET lol

  • Love it!

  • Love this style!!!

  • This is adorable!

  • how do you know what type of hair you have???

  • @ginaleejah I actually watched other youtube vids and did some research to figure out my hair type.

  • @jerseystylezz :) but i think ur 4a

  • @lmlpm7 I do have 4a texture in the front and back of my hair, but the rest of my hair I thought was mostly 4b. I started a different regimen recently and it's clear in this video that it is helping tame my hair. Now I think I might have mostly 4a hair and that I just didn't learn my hair yet. I'll have to change the title of this vid... lol. Thanks!

  • @jerseystylezz u must share your regimen, im a 4b to the max! if they had a 100b, I'd be the first to sign up :)

  • Very cute!

  • Your hair looks awesome

  • I LOVE IT LUV HOW YOU STYLE YOUR HAIR ;-)

  • I Love it! It's super cute! you make two strand flat twists look so easy to do! lol. I'm sure they are for you. I can't get mine to stay firm to my scalp, they always swell? Like your eyeshadow too! You should do a tutorial on that one day, it was nice.

  • Will be trying this week, so cute

  • That is AweSome...

  • Beautiful!!!
