  • @DrmrGuy1979

so now i know you are a wind bag...because a VET gets 1000 hours of experience a season and plays multiple times in front of crouds of 50,000 people...and yes since you don't know, it gets electrifying...players get nervous and you have to fight it...So 1991 with Hardimon and Crosby and 1992 with Float, thats 2000 hours of experience that i have...YOU HAVE NONE...and you talk to me the way you do, questioning my experience...So FAN, not player, have a nice life !!!

    this

  • @DrmrGuy1979

    Haha....i gave you 2 chances to step up...so you are JUST a fan...i was a player....you are a fan.

so now i know your "strong":words and "reasoning" come from stands with paint on your face...

sorry dude...my brother marched Cadets...buy I MARCHED 1992 VK...he didn't get the priviledge to have Float, i did...i am better than my brother anyway...FAR BETTER...for that exact reason, plus the Gruber Method...those 2 combined have made me pretty good...

  • @DrmrGuy1979

IF you cannot answer these questions or the answer is NO...then you i will not respond after this ever...know this ...there is a difference between not responding to you because you WANT THAT....and having an answer to my questions stating, "NO" or "NONE".

  • @DrmrGuy1979

Haha,.. like that intro....i am asking you a direct question....did you march drum corps. or not ?

no evading....no saying youtube has no connection to your life...did you march drum corps ?

OR did you play in a ROCK or JAZZ band professionally...or in college...or did you compete in a musical program or contest...?

    answer these direct questions .....

  • @DrmrGuy1979

thank you for clarifying that you never marched corps. and you have no credentials...so you are a nobody...you're right i have wasted my time talking to a nobody...i don't care if you are anonymous...i have commented hundreds of times and i have met old Vet buddies and other people that agree with me and some that disagree with me, but you are the ONLY one that hates name dropping...did someone name drop when you were a kid? did you get psychological damage that time in your life?

  • @DrmrGuy1979

    1. No. I will drop names anywhere i want

    2. you ARE a kid

    3. this is a BUSINESS world

    4. what are YOUR credentials?

so help me....if you DON'T have any credentials.........if you have NEVERr marched corps.

YOU BETTER HAVE MARCHED CORPS. FOR YOU TOO EVEN COMMENT ANY FURTHER !!!

  • @DrmrGuy1979

sorry kid..that is called listing your resume and/or profiling authority....the rest of the business world does it....sorry but many care.....i got the skills from these folks....and i intend to use it. .sorry kid thems the breaks...i will hire actors, photographers and many other artists and IT personnel....BASED ON

where they went to school and who their instructors/employers were.....sometimes you don't have time to do interviews.....you gotto go with it on the spot !!

  • Glad to see that you "get it" INFR4SLIV3R. Best of luck to you and your drum line!

  • Excellence in its purest form :D

  • those tenors were FUCKING clean in the beginning... those snares were FUCKING clean... those bass drums played some serious FUCKING clean splits... GODAMMIT I LOVE THE HOLY NAME CADETS DRUMLINE!!!!!!

  • @THEdrummer61146 Maybe you don't know this, but there are student of 8, 10 and 12 years of age that would like to see this stuff without being exposed to your foul language. It's jerks like you who cause their parents to keep them from going on this site. REAL men don't need to swear to communicate. Grow up, little boy.

  • @mholub i know right dude he needs to calm down, there is a way to get your point across without cursing.

  • @INFR4SLIV3R Thanks for your support on this. I was a member of the "Garfield" Cadets percussion staff in 1982, '83 and '84. We used to, sometimes, swear like that while teaching. Things have changed. The whole activity has been upgraded and has been just as much of an "educational" experience as it is a recreational activity. Some of these idiots need to smarten up. Thanks again!

  • @mholub welcome, im part of my highschools marching band, I am currently the only tenor, we have a huge highschool and the smallest marching band maybe a little over 80 kids in all

  • @sk8rguy4life obviously you have no eyes because they add people slowly and at :26 its one snare then at :28 its 2 snares. :P

  • they play so hard, I fuckin love it. Actually, let me rephrase that. They PLAYED hard. I'm sorry, but they play like pussies now.

  • this is so amazing

  • I HATE THAT FUCKING METRONOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree about the snares. Nice job Cadets.

  • Hahaha the man stending at 1:01 looks funny. So random.

  • relax.

  • must have been a small year for pit.

  • they're so clean i had to double check to see if the snares actually came in

  • dear jesus,

    thank you for the cadets...

    that is all.

  • didnt the tenor player on the left at 1:04 have something wrong with his vision or something like that?

  • @molecular360

Matt Bowers. he has Immaculate Degeneration

ESPN did a story on it. you can search his name and find the vid.

he marched blue devils in 07-08. total BAMF

  • @Chriscade09 do you mean macular degeneration? i think you confusing his condition with the immaculate conception, or possibly the immaculate reception by franco harris.

  • @jmc647 why ya gotta be a hater? :(

  • @Chriscade09 not a hater, an educator.

  • @jmc647

HUH ... somehow this generation cannot take correction.i marched in VK 91,92. i have been taught by Hardimon, Crosby, Float, Dillulo, and student of Freddie Gruber, and these kids dont even give me A CHANCE to put some "conventional" correction...

these kids dont even know that this is VERY DIRTY.One would have to compare to the cleanest lines ever...

    early Float lines . Cadets 1987,89,90,93-95,98,05 SCV 1980,87,88 -- NOT 1989,92 --Cavies 90,92, 95 VK 1989, 93-95(vk is not as clean)

  • omg. i just jizzed

  • Why does every single tenor look like lurch from the Adams family?

    "You rang?"

  • OH MY GOODNEESSSSSSSS

  • @girlsnare08 thats cuz they werent playing yet

  • @girlsnare08 What?

  • can somebody say whiteboy? but besides the fact that these dudes are whiter than me which is sayin alot, (except for the black dude) this is sick.

  • I want to act silly everytime I hear the ending.

  • God, the echo at the end from all that damn sound just makes me feel like i could win a war

  • @Nathan1138Ammons i did just win a war lol

  • @Nathan1138Ammons I practice in a place that was surrounded by mountains. the echo was 10 times much powerfull than this.

  • 6 tenors?

  • yea

    this IS sex lol

  • Comment removed

  • Holy Shit.

  • This drum feature is in the Cadets Approach To Marching Percussion book. The version in the book is almost, if not the same, as this one. They sound great as always!!!

  • Jesus that's a loud met... Freakin

  • strong ending

  • whoo!

    this book is sick

  • Damn. Tasty

  • mmmmm that met. feels nice pounding into my head when i have ear buds in

  • tastey.

  • sick break

  • :13 to :16 the middle guy isnt doing the same crossovers as the other two on his left and right... is that supposed to happen?

  • Wow I never noticed that. I'm sure it's intentional, they're DCI drummers lol. But good catch man : )

  • it was a "split" tenor part.

meaning: they don't all play the same beats, or drums

  • Yah i noticed that too, but Ryan is right, its split, but i dont know why..they are playing the same rythm but the middle guy is on different drums, and actually has easier stickings. =/

  • sweet

  • dot dot dot HOO!

  • hahaha! this was right by my old skool! it was awesome!

  • Anyone have the the sheet music for either tenors or snare?

  • whatever this was a good year 4 there drumline they wr playing some sweet shit.

  • actually when you have good year after good year then one comes up and you score 5 places lower than you normally do.. thats a bad year.

    just my opininon.

  • who cares what they score i march corps and no one cares about scores. and if you knew anything about drumming u would know that there book is always crazy.

  • actually.. maybe your corps didnt care about scores.. i promise your caption heads do.

    we cared.

and i know a lot about drumming.. i dont care how crazy the book is.. if its not clean its not clean.

  • what corps do u march with?

  • Nice and tight. Great.

  • i think cadets always have the most beefy parts ever, but phantom takes the super clean award.

at this level its all basically an opinion.

but regardless, cadets drumline lays it down

  • Dude, this is such a great and underrated tenor feature. Better than 05.

  • they use duts to keep time too

  • vvvvv

rim clicks arent really for sound

    it for for keeping time

  • wow...hertas galore! I love how at the end it sounded like gunshots. Im kind of wondering why arrangers even write in rim clicks for bass drums, i don't think anyone ever hears them.

  • CLEANEST diddles and rolls of any snare line in dci. hands down.

  • yea right.

i think cleanliness goes to phantom bud.

  • I agree phantom takes the cleanliness trophy every year

  • But the demand trophy goes to the Cadets every year.

(not that demand is an excuse for dirt)

  • Disagree, I honestly think phantom is overrated.

I do however think they win the award for having the most complex and annoying stickings in DCI. I don't think I could ever be on phantoms snareline for that reason.

  • They could sound cleaner if they didn't have such wet sounding snares.

  • favorite drum corp...period!

  • it sux that they look like they're all hunchbacks

  • i was right there behind the camera man. it was in Bristol, RI. they always seem to hide when they go warm up. its like a mile away from the performance field.

  • I like the echo at the end. "NOOAICE!"

  • captain0389 wtf are you talking about? Are you serious saying that a good player can't get stuck with a crap piece of music, and perform it to the best of his/her ability, despite it's inherent flaws? Not that I agree with the idea that 2005-2007 were bad shows, they're just different. I'm sure people said/thought the same thing about Star '93, and if you don't like and respect that show, then find another genre of music.

  • I concur....

  • id like to see florida a&m pull that off(because they cant)

  • what type of head do the snares use? whitemax?

  • i think it is evans

  • yeah

  • the use Remo Cybermax

  • in my opion the cadets for the past two years have had crap shows but they played them amzingly

  • Couldn't be any worse than the Blue Devils' Dance Party two years ago. Blue Devils? Dance Party? WTF? Do these guys ever think before coming up with these lame concepts?

And that's NO knock on the musicianship of either corps.

  • crap shows...being played amazingly?

You can't put those two comments together...they're irrelevant.

  • Anyway, The Cadets shows these past few years have been a little different than any other drum corps shows, The Cadets seem to be more about education than anything, which is another great plus about marching with them.

Shout out to Evan from Morehead State University for making the Cadets Snareline as a Freshman in the MSU Drumline, he's the youngest person I know that has made it, so good luck with The Cadets this year!

  • The dude standing left of center made it as a 16 year old i believe (in 04)... But still, its an accomplishment to even make this line so congrats to your friend.

  • it's not really an absolute like that...he means the show concepts and designs were corny, but the musicianship and precision were admittedly still there. like...the overarching show ideas were lame but he's still praising them for performing them to a T. the two aren't mutually exclusive IMHO

  • yup they are playing really fast paradiddles. still awesome though

  • the machine ftw! video quality makes it kinda hard to tell though-are those singles on the tenors at 1:03? if they are then hell yes.

  • Looks like really fast paradiddles to me.

  • Phantom regiment is good but dude you are an idiot. Cadets are the best damn drumline in the world.

  • two different strokes, for different folks. Those happen to be my two favorite in DCI, I'm not sure I could compare them.

  • yeah and your a jesus fan. my ass

  • a lil dirty here and there but nice.

  • love those sticks

  • I think everybody is forgetting that this was shot on JULY 3rd. It's mid season, not finals week...give 'em a break.

  • sweet. vic firth for me all the no other. great over all teners are awsome

  • VIC FIRTH IS THE WAY TO GO.. im not a big fan of cadets.. but pretty slammin drum line

  • RC are you out of your fucking mind... they look scared? you gotta be dumb... they are so precise with what they do... def not scared

  • Agreed.

  • No fire.

    None.

Look like scared little kids out there.

  • Which is why they only got 5th place this year in percussion. Phantom Regiment was just... mindblowing. They were godly compared to this...

  • Phantom Regiment always puts everyone to shame.

  • P-Reg can suck my nuts

  • ...lol

  • You must be a halfwit.

  • So exact and clean, very nice. Vic Firth only sticks i use.

  • same here. i use them and CorpsMaster. The ssj vegas are sick.

  • corpsmaster's are vic firth

  • i know but they have the set versions. i meant that i use the vic firth corpmaster i said and i guess becuase i was tiered? ha.
