A little advice: Every pitch from the stretch would probably be called a balk. When pitching from the stretch u have to come to a complete stop when u get set. Try not to rush the pitch.
Well all i can say is "KEEP IT UP" good job over all, keep working at it and you will get more confident in your throwing, you will grow in to that power throw and before you know it you will be riping it in and striking them out...
hey. I'm a college pitcher and the main things he should probably focus on is getting more strength. I know he is very young but strength and power are major factors. Whenever you think he is old enough you should have him start lifting weights but make sure he stays flexible and his arm stays flexible. You dont want to get stiff... then you lose velocity.

Try to take a smaller, more comfortable step backward, and stay in the set position for a second or two more.

Lose Some Weight
Gain Some Height
Gain Some Speed
Gain the ability to throw strikes once in a while
Gain The knowledge of how to throw the ball right (it's embarrassing!)

More twist on the wind up. Show them your back and you will get to use your body more and less arm.
