@bcfcsam1995 it does float im a load master just like the guy on the right it does float but only to a degree you need lift but the fuselage is slightly water proof and buoyant just to let a boat slide on JUST some times my friend in 2nd Chinook acutely float on the water with engines off for some weird reason he didn't have the loading door shut!!
Absolutely unbelievable...I doubt the designers had considered this when they built it... another testament to the versatility of the airframe and the crews that fly them.

Oddly enough the Chinook will float for a long time, especially if the fuel cells aren't full.
