For one thing City of Bones is not two hundred times better than Wicked Lovely. I haven't even read Wicked Lovely but I can guess it is probably better than the City of Bones. All the City of Bones is a Harry Potter rehash with a bit of a Twilight spin. Smeyer shouldn't even have the nerve to comment on someone else's novel after the atrociously bad Breaking Canon was published.
I almost didn't read the Hunger Games because SM said it was "a great book". I thought anything that she liked would be bad. Then I saw Stephen King liked it and whole bunch of other good authors. So I read and loved it. And it's cover is better than Twilights...

Well, the past week, I've been to the bookstore three times (because Borders kept giving me coupons, which was awesome). I bought Phantom of the Opera, Wicked: Resurrection, and Vampire Kisses: The Beginning (the first three books). I was toggling between VK and Wicked Lovely, but I bought VK instead, but I read the first few chapters of each at the bookstore. From bits from both VK and WL, I can say that the both of them have what Twilight didn't at the beginning: humor and good taste/suspense.
Firstly, I like the twilight books - not because they're well written, though.
Secondly, I've been a huge Stephen King fan.
Thirdly, I laughed when I heard what Stephen King said. I happend to know he is a great Harry Potter fan. But seriously, it's his personally opinion, give him a break.

Grr.... I really don't like this woman. I mean, Wicked Lovely isn't my favorite book ever, but it's a million times better than her crap. And who is she to talk about books who's one redeeming factor is the cool covers?
And if/when I ever get my series published, I'd be thrilled if people wrote fanfiction. Even if they completly butcher (or even improve on them) I'd be flattered because somebody cares enough to write it.
