  • Greece is not the country of my birth, but I feel it like my heart's Country,&that, since a long time. My parents took us many times in this land of the Gods. They have passed on this love. There is no one day without my thinking of the Greek people, its music & its spirit, especially at this difficult time for them, than ever before. So I listen to this music&this dance, watching with eyes of love.I wish all the best to the Greek People for their recovering in every sense of the word.Ένας φίλος

  • You guys are very good. I am amazed! :) Greetings from Athens.

  • @DKDamilos Thank you so much, how did you come across our video. We have noticed an increase of views in this video and we are wondering why so many people have been recently watching it.

  • @malyzajac69 When you are good, people notice! :) Enjoy the internet! :)

  • Contrary to what most foreigners believe, syrtaki is not the most popular dance among Greeks. In bouzouki music, zeibekiko (for men) and tsifteteli (for women) are far more popular! Then we have rural folklore (dimotika), where tsamiko, syrto and kalamatiano are the most popular dances!

  • This is so energetic and cheerful. The dancing is superb! My love for the Greeks<3 OPA

  • @GoddessofPoetry9 Thank you :)

  • Fantastyczny występ. Jestem bardzo szczęsliwy, że Polacy tak rewelacyjnie tańczą grecki taniec. Uważam , że znacznie lepiej niż sami Grecy. Kocham Was za to. Jestem niesłychanie dumny, że swoim mistrzowskim tańcem zainteresowaliscie cały swiat. Zrobiliscie dla Polski więcej niż nasi politycy.

  • The Sirtaki here, the music, the movements are still following the Greek tradition. But these Polish guys bring to the theme something that is uniquely Polish. So many entries here on YouTube showing us the wonders of Sirtaki dancing. All very enjoyable. Thank you YouTube.

  • Sirtaki is a Greek dance made famous by the great film Zorba the Greek. Not surprisingly, popular Greek culture often overlaps with Turkish popular culture. The Sirtaki is especially wonderful because it is an expression of male-bonding (I could not imagine American or British men dancing together like that). In this clip the dancers are Polish, going by their names (another great country with incredible folkloric traditions quite lost in the Western world). continued

  • @hamrunfc1 Nice comment !!!

  • This vid is supurb, amazing, awesome, fantastic, extraordinary and I've never seen anything like it before. I'm now looking forward to watching more of the "Sirtaki" dances. Great upload, malyzajac. Dzienkuje bardzo.

  • @the103185 of course there are influences, maybe from both parts... after all, we all belong to the same European culture, nations influence one another and without realising, although we don't all speak the same language, we have a lot in common :) Surprisingly, isn't it? :)

  • simplemente fantasticooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo el baile de estos tres joven sincronia etc......................

  • @littleladytomboy I dont understand, are you being mean or do you like our dancing...

  • @malyzajac69 I was just replying to @Box9900 comment on the dance.I very much like your dancing and think it's a great honor to be dancing syrtaki, whether a greek or not.I just don't like people who undermine a country's heritage with stupid comments.ANY country's heritage, since there's no country in the world that's superior to others, just stupid people that think so.

  • @littleladytomboy Great comment. Thumbs up for you.

  • @gcukurova1 we love them too!!

  • @gcukurova1 Zorba is not a turkish word, it's a greek one! it's actually a greek last name. the syrtaki is originating from the Zorba the Greek (Αλέξης Ζορμπάς) movie of 60's,directed by M.Kakogiannis and the movie itself is based on the book of Nikos Kazantzakis, Αλέξης Ζορμπάς. The scenes of the movie were filmed in Crete, Greece. It has nothing to do with Turkey.

  • @nikgeor14 I don't understand this. We have lived together more than 100 years guys. We are brothers and sisters. We are not enemies. So what if we've zorba word and you too? Greeks and Turks share so many words, Zorba is one of them too. Get over it. I think it shouldn't be a matter of pride for you and us. It's so meaningless. I love you my Greek bros.

    χαιρετισμούς από την Τουρκία.

    Greetings from Turkey.

  • @fadeout1234567 you're so off the topic, though!! I never said ANYTHING about being enemies.. i never said we're not brothers and sisters.. don't turn this around hostility. so even if you have a word ''zorba'', this use of the word is greek and zorbas is in this case a last name, since it is based on a real greek character, called Alexis Zorbas. that's all i said. peace.

  • @fadeout1234567 Very nice comment. Thanks.

  • @nikgeor14 Always funny when people say everything is turkish. the word greek and history start since 5000 BC , turkish 1200 After christus died and still everything is turkish °-° KEBAB is turkish and? thats all

  • @nikgeor14 milas turkika?

  • @gcukurova1 .....kiss my pereaus ass u prick....we have nth in common....we r men

  • @tedrinos go back & read history. Men don't RAPE women and children during war, they fight like a man. What you did was run to the sea, jump in, try to swim back and drown... Get over. your shit-head thoughts as funny f*cking joke. I know you will never get over so whatever the f*ck you say I will not give you the pleasure of getting another reply from me even though I could please your "pereaus ass" with me tasty Turkish sausage. I have many Greek friends, love them, you fart machine :)

  • @gcukurova1 their outfits are not turkish...the word zorba might be but that is where the common things of greeks and turks end....

  • @gcukurova1 @gcukurova1 we dont have nothing in common..!!!!! NOTHING !

  • @1926salonika nothing in common with YOU, thats 4 sure.

  • @gcukurova1 o yees !!!!! xaxa

  • @gcukurova1 Uhhh... I just though you should know that any resemblance between the cultures is probably from when the Turks enslaved Greece for 300 years.

  • @kittycat5261 oh please, I know the history, I am history major and read history from different channels, sources from Oxford to U.S. and so on. You know so well that it they did not invade, Greece would invade them or so on. That was the world back then. I don't see any reason to stay here any longer. I love the culture Turkish, Greek, Israeli, Italian, Arabic and north african. anywhere around Mediterranean.. I understand you guys being sour since the unsuccessful attempt of invading Turkey

  • @gcukurova1 GREEK clothes are re stupid what you see will not sinngrineis GREECE with the Turks hate turkey .. .. GREECE I love you

  • @gcukurova1 Zorba is a greek kids name for a boy. It means live each day. :)

  • READ HISTORY PLZ

  • @gcukurova1 U're fighting with the whole people :P obviously u have your opinions and they have theirs I agree with u to some point but dont get so mad with those who dont share the same opinions with u.Dont forget that u are facing people who were under slavery for 400 years and believe me u dont know what slavery means.I dont hate turks or anuone else actually all of us are human beings. Zorba is a greek last name in this case I dont know about the outfits. We have so much in common + we <3 u2

  • @NapoCF1 I love this music and respect Greeks as our neighbours. I just want to correct something in your statement, under the Ottoman rule up to 1800s (where things got complicated) Greeks enjoyed a time of harmony. As with other ethnicities in the empire they kept their culture and religion and lived as they pleased with taxation being their only burden. More importantly Greeks supplied Ottoman army with quality Janissary elite soldiers and Captains. It was definitely not slavery.

  • @MarkhasSteelfort Greeks experience slavary under Οttoman empire and that is a fact my friend I can tell you many things about that..About Janissary army I will tell you how it was created..Turkish officials feared the slightest chance been overthrown by the Greeks and a possible revolution so they were going into greek villages in the whole Greece and were taking by the force the male boys at the age of 4-5 years old so that they would been evolved into Turkish elite soldiers

  • @MarkhasSteelfort That was a tragical event known as παιδομάζωμα in greek..Children grew up so that they could fight their own blood and nation, their own family...Greeks have many reasons for hating Turks and I am sorry of speaking about that..I dont hate them, all I wish for them is not to face the face of The Lord for those crimes..

  • @NapoCF1 I respect your ideas and they are your reality allright. You have to understand that history books in Greece are not reliable just like other history books in most countries. Janissaries fighting their own blood ? Families gave their sons to the army hoping one they they would become a great general or a landlord. This is no different than todays families sending their children to universities. Up to 1800's there were no problems between hellenic people and turks.

  • @MarkhasSteelfort Hmmm my friend I respect your ideas too..but honestly you have no idea what they were been doing on that four hundred years...Who would give or send away his son into turkish army?? whoooo???Do you know when Greek revolution began??Do you know for how many decades they were planting the Greek revolution??Do you know that all Greeks were taking vows that where telling not to speak about anything of what they were planting to do??

  • @MarkhasSteelfort I believe my Greek books and name me as you wish, I respect your ideas too..as for the reliability of greek books..2 years before I met a friend of mine..he is Persian(Iranian)..we were talking for hours about the persians wars and their books(persian) were telling the exactly same thing as ours(greek)..so far I have no reason for not trusting my books...but maybe I am wrong...maybe you are wrong two..:D

  • Bravo Muchachos!!!!, no me canso de verlos y disfrutar de esta Hermosa Danza, Gracias!!!!.
