Like the video but the king didn't celebrate easter. Easter is no where in the original Greek or Hebrew but the word pascha is which means passover in greek. The king James people put it there purposely, but then changed it back to passover in the updated New King James version. Check it out, but great job though:)

After all, weren't Jesus and the deciples in the upper room celebrating the Passover meal? I know that they were. The ONLY command to observe His death was to remember Him in future Passover seders.

Bro-I'm so GLAD I found this video! I just got back from my local non denominational church-where I've challenged all 4 pastors regarding Christmas=pagan and Easter=pagan and challenging the laws of Constantine=namely the sabboth-All I got from them was that we only have 9 commandments in the new testament and that the evergreen tree in Christmas came after pagan traditions-Fascinating how anger is NOT a fruit of the spirit-Yet-thats what manifested itself! Any thoughts?

You are only responsible for your own actions. As you "sit out" the holidays, you will get grief from your fellow Christians and your family, but you will also have great blessings. The pressure is off. You will begin to see just how crazy the world becomes during the holidays. It is a real eye opener.

Are you saying I shouldn't eat a ham in the spring time during that period of time in which "ishtar" falls? I agree that the pagan rituals are where a large number of traditions associated with (though lacking in biblical roots) Christianity come from. However, I think the death/resurrection of Christ is a noteworthy cause for remembrance (ideally on a regular/constant basis). Are you saying the biblical remembrance services are ill-formed or that the pagan influenced holidays are the problem?

A good argument could be made that Easter is Pagan. Unfortunately, you have not made it. There are far too many inaccuracies in the material you present. The most obvious is that "Easter" is Germanic and comes from Proto-Indo-European *aus- "rise," whereas "Ishtar" is Akkadian, and comes from Proto-Semitic *'ttr, a root found in the name of deities connected with the morning and evening stars. Like the video but the king didn't celebrate easter. Easter is no where in the original Greek or Hebrew but the word pascha is which means passover in greek. The king James people put it there purposely, but then changed it back to passover in the updated New King James version. Check it out, but great job though:)

@cogit8able 1 Corinthinans 11:23-26 if read in context is a command to keep the Passover seder in rememberance of Jesus. After all, weren't Jesus and the deciples in the upper room celebrating the Passover meal? I know that they were. The ONLY command to observe His death was to remember Him in future Passover seders.

ok skyfox, if you actually read the bible you would learn that Herod celebrated Ishtar/Easter. This is an abomination to the Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah 1:14 KJV "Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them."
Easter is the first Sunday after the 1st full moon after the spring vernal equinox. You can clearly see from the above verse God hates this. Time to repent , before its too late.
