@leaveitplease If you really knew anything you'd know that you aren't supporting an artist by buying their albums and music. You are only really supporting them by buying their merch and gig tickets. Music for the CD's go to the publishers and other companies.

@leaveitplease because the promoters and publishers of their album get their music out into the shops and the public, thus making them more famous. I mean look at bands that are on small record labels they aren't as popular as these people (That does NOT mean they aren't as good either, musically anyways) that is because record labels such as sony, roadrunner etc are good at making a band popular by publishing out their music. The record labels earn the money by selling these albums.

@leaveitplease In the end of the day it all comes down to a question of moral principals. I download music illegally myself but if i absolutely loved the album I will buy it in a hard copy. I mean, i've got all of Skrillex's albums and EP's that he released on hard copy. Usually if you buy off iTunes the money will go to iTunes for them promoting you.... I'm not a genius in this aspect but this is what I've read and heard, i think of downloading as 'try before you buy' :)
