Oil is good as long as it last. I live in Norway, the third or fourth largest exporter of oil. However, we now produce half as much as we did ten years ago, and we are still in decline. We now have to build a more alternative energy system for the future, and we are already gone far, 95 % of all power is now hydroelectricity for example. I hope the UAE starts to thing about the future without oil, even if its 60 years from now. Think about the children and their children again.
sovereign fund is world’s largest and worth $1,300bn. $1.5 trillion of funds sloshing around the Middle East, but those wealth hasn’t eradicated poverty from Muslim world. The Saudis alone hold about a trillion dollars in United States assets. They buy more U.S. made weapons than Israel even though Israelis influence the world politics. Empowerment of a community is not related to the headcount of its billionaires. Kick Indians and Hinduism out of it..
@martyr732What was that? You have a brain freeze? But honey doesn't that actually require a brain first? FUCK YOUR MOTHER &SLUTTY WHORE MARRY AND HER PENISPUFFER BASTARD SON JESUS .MAY B U DNT know- in islam both christians and hindus r called kafir,&they would kick u the same way

Or in youre company...
so umm, since SOME of the people who watches this HAVE an experience about OIL and GAS industries. Can you guys tell me when will oil and gas finish? or END in the uae? thnx, any answer will be appreciated
tesarche u r right, but main source would be always because middle east climate is not an ideal climate for green, and who want anything else when one have BLACK GOLD (oil).
Every one thinks that there only oil in the middle east yes that was the case few years back but if you look at it now and 10 years later you will see that middle east specially the Khaleej countries willl be one of the powerfull and successful countries with green projects green is the future and no i'm not talking about money i'm talking about more solar system will be in the Gulf countries will bring more money thatn oil to the region think about it people bravo and wam from Dubai HArut
"For years thousands of children from Pakistan and Bangladesh, some as young as three, were sold by poor families to human traffickers, who passed them on to camel racers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where the sport is very popular. The owners preferred young children as jockeys because they believed their screams made the camels run faster."
Not entirely. Abu Dhabi is still dependant but they are in the process of diversifying their economy. A quick search on Google would show you the vast multi billion dollar projects they are undertaking. The government also has hundreds of billions of investments in Western as well as Eastern countries. The nearby emirate of Dubai is now not dependant on Oil but on finance services and tourism.
"Dear arabs, you see Iran is powerful like a lion (unlike us)..Now, I am strong enough to make it angry by saying Arabian Gulf instead of Persian Gulf...ha ha ha..I can even say it your islands are mine..."...and the wealthy arab person smiles at tv and goes back to bed with his wives! Some miles away in other arab countries, poor arab kid sleeps hungry in street and doesn't know the new name for Persian Gulf is a good thing to feed him or not.
geoffreyphilip:- why not, I got Petroleum Engineering gained from western universities on 5,5 years ago..worked 4 years and look forward to work in Arabian Gulf, so if u can direct that to me than please do mail me in prive.
There is no conincident most countries that rely on oil as their major income usually have political systems different from the west. For those people who live in those countries, oil could be their curse, rather than blessing.
What jibberish are you talking about? After living in the UAE as a foreigner for most of my life, Oil is their blessing. If you watch the video from start to finish, 40 years ago it was a poor desert backwater. Now it is one of the richest, most successful countries in the world. As far as Politics goes, I think they do not need Western democracy as their current political system works well and everyone is happy. I think democracy will destabilise them and be susceptible to outside powers.
@fdama I agree. Also you can't ignore the fact that the goverment is federal. We have consitution since 71.It's a nice blend that works fine. I'm really happy how thing went.
its not really a curse but a GREAT source that they just dont know how to use. if the politicians in would look deep into there hearts and stop chasing papers (money) the mideast wouldnt bleed today!
Me and Greatersomalia fathers builded these plant from scratch when the emirates has another life than they have it on now and now despite we have our engineerings degrees emirates don't even think let we employee the son's who growed in our land rather than taking another imigrated ppl..what a shame for Emirates relating to that and I prefer that they think slice bit.
Interesting video..

If oil were to become worthless, the dysfunction of the most prominent
Muslim societies would suddenly grow as conspicuous as the sun.Muslims might then come to see the wisdom of moderating their
thinking on a wide variety of subjects. Otherwise, we will be obliged
to protect our interests in the world with force—continually. in that case our newspapers will begin looking like the book of revelations
