You have to remember that this was Eric's first full year being captain. I think Skinner will get the "C" at some point. Staal's only 26 and Jeff has only played in one NHL season. I'd love to see him get an "A" but not this upcoming season. I think that would be too much pressure on him in only his 2nd season. I would also love to see us get Parise. Maurice only has one year left on his contract, so maybe we'll be looking at a coaching staff overhaul the season after next.
Such a disappointing season. Hopefully Jim Rutherford (idiot) will wise up and fire Mo and completely replace the coaching staff (Ron is already gone). Then maybe he will actually spend some money to get some decent defense (maybe from Chicago). Get rid of Joni, and get Parise. We have a world class goalie, just no one in front of him. Also change the captain, Staal obviously isn't fit for it.
@caniacjr30 I despise Mo. I think he's a terrible coach. He's a joke, he comes in with a record under .500 and he doesn't even bring his own coaches. Any good self respecting coach would demand more than what he's getting paid and would have also brought his own staff in. It was Staals first full year as a captain but I just don't see the passion like we saw with Brind'amor. I would love to see a captain change, give Cole captain I think he really deserves it.
