  • Read my lips: There's no corner like Eau Rouge.

  • Comment removed

  • I also love the (dont know if its the right name) the 360 in suzuka after the long straight in sector 3

  • best corner is monaco...as a whole

  • @MrTrophyNuts but that doesn't equal a corner does it you twat

  • @Martyn4291 OBVIOUSLY I WAS BEING SERIOUS WHEN I PUT THE COMMENT YOU STUPID CUNT

  • @MrTrophyNuts really intellegent come back you must be the brains in your family

  • @Martyn4291 says the person who called me a twat for no real reason.

  • jeez some of the paints back then were hideous!

  • The best corner in F1 is Eau Rouge and will ever rest Eau Rouge...

If Spa isn't in Formula 1 a year ( Fuck Le Castellet!) it will be possibly this corner

  • than beauty

  • I miss the old McLaren cars. Kimi was such a beast!

  • Turn 17 in spa is the fastest corner

  • everybody knows that the best corner in f1 is eau rouge

  • @xDtimmy41 Funnily enough, most people don't realise Eau Rouge is only the left hand kink at the bottom of the hill. The uphill section is part of Raidillon.

  • the cars sounded so much better then

  • WTF, 1:22:xxx at Silverstone!! WOW lol

  • @oOIIalexIIOo this is with the old track layout, and with cars with more power and downforce

  • @oOIIalexIIOo This is the old Silverstone layout, hence faster lap times.

  • that must be such a pressure to sit in this car while passing the corner !

  • whats G?

  • @pilot241 g means g-forces. i know what it means, but i cannot explain it

  • @bfmv11kyle LMFAO g means g-forces? Are you a jedi or is that the dark side of the force? lol.... sorry just had to bust your chops cuz if you actually knew G means Gravity you would have been able to explain it.

  • @pilot241 G=Gravity.... 5Gs is 5xgravity. if you weigh 100lbs and experienced 5Gs you would weigh 500lbs.

  • Gotta say 130R, eug rouge or the 4 left handers at turkey

  • I say the 130R at Suzuka is one of the most exciting, but Eau Rouge is the most unique.

  • Ahh, back when the cars sounded great, looked beautiful and were actually fun to watch.

  • Haha look at all these anlglphobes can't accept it. Yes this IS the best combination of corners, Eau Rouge is the best CORNER

  • best corner in F1 now is Turkey Istanbul...

4 left handet into one...check it out

  • suzuka is better !!!

  • I've never been to Spa so I can't really comment much on Eau Rouge, but I have spent many a Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon in early July standing on the spectator bank on the outside of Maggots/Becketts being wowed by this spectacle!

  • That mclaren was the best ever. It sounds like a siren and it has those vicking horns.

  • oh man!!!! that is amazing!!!!!!!!!! whatan experience

  • To watch, Eau Rouge; to drive, Becketts.

  • @SchoolofLuke agree.

  • Not anymore, I don't think. Cars handle too well nowadays. Eau Rouge isn't what it used to be for the same reason - it's taken flat-out.

Corners that still catch people out are ones like the final chicane at Montreal, Tabac corner at Monaco, Turn 10 at Singapore, and the exit of the tunnel at Monaco - the sudden camber change and decline makes the rear of the car very light, throwing unwary drivers into the wall. Silverstone is too open and has too many run-off areas to be very challenging.

  • Is that Steve Matchett at 0:30? o.o

  • Best corners in F1 in my opinion. Eau Rouge(1998 Spa version). Pouhon(2004 Spa with gravel yet). 130R(2002 Suzuka version). S-turns in Suzuka all the way to degner one... Also the first spoon corner in Suzuka. Nuff said! :)

  • Eau de Rouge, Radillion (Frenzensaid 99 they drove with the old v10 325 km/h with the new engines 2011 they drove ca. 305 km/h), the first turn after the start line (stove?) in silverstone ( 6,0 g-force reportedly Button droves with this honda), and the 130 R turn in suzuka, but they changed the turn they made it not so tight like in the ´90, they couldn´t do it flat, today it goes absolutely flat. But same matter the Eau de Rouge, Back in the seventies the Eau de Rouge was very tighter th. yet

  • wowo i was forgot how fucking fasta itwas thi f1 again with kers and DRS

  • i miss v10s

  • I walked on eau rouge at the 2011 belgian gp and it is way steeper than you think.

Its about a 15% climb + turning. radillion is just a slowly fading kink at the top.

  • Eau Rouge is the best courner ever and will be the best forever. It's possible future circuits with amazing turns, but like Eau Rouge it's impossible. Some people may don't like Eau Rouge, but it won't decide if Eau Rouge is the best courner or not.

  • I want the incoming I4s in F1 to sound like this

  • This is a nice corner, but nothing special in my opinion. A real good corner is one where there is no room for error, like Eau Rouge. If you go off here it's just a big spin, youre not punished for your mistake.....at Eau Rouge you are. And this corner is located in a boring area, no changes in height or trees... it's nice but there are a lot of corners which are way better than this, Eau Rouge in particular. It's not that i not like it, but it's not the best corner in F1, in my opinion...

  • Eau Rouge

  • Eau Rouge is no longer the best.

It's easily flat out in modern F1 cars with the extra grip and reduced power.

  • @christosswc A corner is what it is no matter what car's going through it. Just because the grip goes up on the cars themselves doesn't make the corner any less thrilling!

If anything it's even better because the G's pulled are increased. You're forgetting just how tall and steep Eau Rouge is!

If all the drivers agree that Eau Rouge is the best corner then this aint even up for debate and this video's got a stupid title....

  • @Shoryuken4u Some of the F1 drivers have said themselves it's not as challenging any more because it is flat out EASY.

While that does not make it any less punishing on their bodies, a racing driver needs the challenge as well to get the thrills.

The challenge of a quick corner where, if you overdo it, you pay the price with a big off.

Even the 130R in Japan is easy flat out nowadays.

Schumi stayed under Rubens's gearbox through it flat out and made the pass despite the decreased downforce.

  • Perhaps not for the drivers, but in my opinion Singapore Sling (the trio of small and bumpy apexes) at Marina Bay is a very entertaining coner

  • Wow, thanks for this. It doesn't seem possible for an earth-bound vehicle to change direction that fast!!!

  • When you ask the Formula 1 drivers ( and the BBC reporters DID ask them this question ! ) which corner is the best in their opinion, Eau Rouge at Spa is the best.

    No contest.

All F1 drivers agree. Who am I to disagree...??!! ;-)

  • bring gravel traps back and a lot more corners will become more dangerous.

  • this should probably be named as the 'best camera angle' instead of corner

  • Eau rouge is the best, is more dangerous and more traditional.....

  • Eau Rouge is great, but Turkey Turn 8, Maggots/Becketts, Monaco's swimming pool complex, and Suzuka's Esses are harder to get right.

  • Eau Rouge is easily the best corner!

  • Eau Rouge & Pouhon are far better btw ;)

  • The best F1 corner is the turn 8 at Istanbul Park

  • i tell you this, im 15 and when i went to silverstone for the first time this year, the f1 cars don't sound that good but the gp2 cars sound a bit like these f1 cars and just brought back the good noises

  • @FPSyorkshire because today they use v8 engines that one in the videos are the v10 engines they changed that for 2006 sadly

  • @gasteinerboy if they kept the cars as they were then vettel would be breaking records and schumacher and alonso would be having there battles again

  • @FPSyorkshire the fastes f1 cars are from the 2004 season the most fastest lap records are from those and the also looked better but formula1 lost his soul in the last years

  • I agree, along with the Eau Rouge is the best corner.

  • in my opinion turn 8 in istanbulpark one of if not the best corner in f1

  • @Trabzonlu84 Nahhh, Eau Rouge stays the best corner in F1.

Watch the vid from kimi in eau rouge (you'll see how it is, rly awesome)

  • @666unnamedfreak666 without a doubt thats a great corner and i would say they are of the same caliber

  • SILVERSTONNE FTW!!

  • Well this is the fastest corner I see, the hardest one will be at Monaco?

  • Love the v10s

  • Becketts is a complex, not a corner. The best corner in F1 is spoon curve.

  • Eau Rogue is way better than this

  • the best corner in F1 is Eau Rouge.

  • the old becketts is better than this. the one where senna got a box full of neutral in 89.... eau rouge and blanchimont at spa are far better than becketts. the parabolica at monza.. not to mention the lesmo's. the list goes on

  • all the drivers said WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIS IS EPIC AND KEWL

  • Where is the Jordans?

  • Maggets, Backetts and Chapel are not the best.

The best corners are first of all Eau Rouge! Don't forget turn 8 in turkey.

  • He'll no is becketts the best corner in f1!!!!!!! Turkeys turn 8 has to be!!!!!

  • formula 1 died when they put restrictions on qualifyng, engines, tires and pitstops!

go back to the old days, 90min of quali, see what power you can get out of your engine...just play and have fun!!

    its more like gp2 now

  • FORMULA 1 DIED IN 2006

what a sound man, fucking awesome, fucking awesome

i can listen it instead of music

  • @Kagaformel

no Formula 1 died in 1994. Finaly ressurrected in 2009!!!

  • @Judginit ahahah formula 1 doesn't alive now.

very ugly cars, loser v8 engines, and meaningless drs

i wanna real combats, crying engines, consuming cars

  • @Kagaformel

Drivers are what make the sport my friend. no matter how the cars look and the engines sound they ouldnt do anything without a driver at the wheel. In Hamilton and Vettel we have the two best drivers for 20 years driving together at the same. As a result it will force the other drivers to raise their game to compete. so in my opinion Formula 1 is alive and well

  • It'll be immense watching at this corner this year, especially with DRS. Cars will be doing about 300kpm. Thumbs up for the new layout :)

  • well, the best corner...or better said the best combination. what is the best combination? Is it eau rouge at Spa Francorchamps or is it this one, becketts at silverstone?

The best engine sound clearly was the V12.

  • if those cars race in a circuit near an ocean with these engines whales would answear back

  • @MrSpiraklas LMAO!

  • the best corner in F1 - Eau Rouge.

  • ah, remember the qualification without these Q1,Q2 crap

  • Turkey turn 8...Amazing 4 apex,270-300km

  • @yakisiklijojuk123 u mean the track were u can't overtake turkey sucks harsh spa is one the top 5 greatest race tracks along with le sarthe, nurburing, sebring, monza

  • Parabolica is the best corner! by far!

  • this is great but as if eau rouge isnt better?

  • a mile in 20 secounds, that seams so slow

  • so boring - 80's and 90's were light years better - when the skillset was 4 times larger - there's no feel for traction needed now - just flat everywhere and steer - its fast but easy - and plain crap as a sport!

  • Juan Pablo Montoya, Ralph Schumacer, Mark Webber in Williams, Jaques Villeneuve, Giancarlo Fisichella, Jarno Trulli (in his good days), Kimi Räikkönen. I miss these stars. And thumbs up for BBC for geting rid of ITV who had an advert every 2 seconds.

  • the best corner is RED WATER

  • @massa122

    Eau Rouge ! ;D

    Thats in my country :D

  • eau rouge is in my opinion the best and probs most fun corner to drive(fly) trough..its such an amazing speed and height diffrence!

  • @93nikolas93 it wasn't fun for stefan bellof... RIP

  • GP2 is catching up to F1, not cool.

  • @0landese I second that , we definitely need V10s back.

  • @0landese

The top 5-7 cars in GP2 qualifying were faster than the Virgins and HRT's practice times at Monaco.

  • @PulletSurprise That means HRT and Virgin need to up their game a bit, maybe master the blown diffuser for Canada. And also what Dogman36 said...

  • why does this have so many dislikes?

  • Silverstone sucks. It's just as boring than England in general.

  • @BigAngeloSantorini

    :) definitelly true!

  • @BigAngeloSantorini i dislike you

  • Fucking amazing airplanes, that's what those f1 cars with such V10 engines were.

  • Yea, Eau Rouge. Becketts is down on the list. Grand Hotel Monaco, Turkey turn 8. Parabolica.

  • @wasuprobleemjoh no i disagree, ok eau rouge and turn 8 at istanbul are immense corners but the maggots and beckets complex are as good as them. also what about "the esses"?? at suzuka or 130r.

  • @F1Mad93

the esses are great and about suzuka its one of my favorites i like the whole track

  • wow those tyres are literally glued onto the road o.O

  • The legendary Corkscrew at Laguna Seca. :D

  • best corner is brands hatch-paddock hill bend

  • all the corners in spa are the best ^^

this is just the best circuit by far , im happy i live in belgium ^^

  • Eau Rouge, Blanchimont @ Spa and S-complex @ Suzuka are more fun to watch, don't about driving them :)

  • What about Eau rouge, Tamburello, the parabolica, the ''s'' of Senna, and the wall of champions?

  • Silverstone isn't a fun race to watch. It is too much racetrack.

  • sorry... strange people here;-) the ss in Suzuka are the best "complex/group of turns" and the eau rouge was the best corner 20 years ago!!! today its fun to drive it...

  • always throught the first sector of Magny Cour was the best in F1. A bit like maggots/turn 8 at istanbul combined.

  • Eau Rouge is a easy courne for F1 cars.

  • Great corners, but nothing beats Eau Rouge.

  • casino square is

  • did't like that quli format

  • I prefer Eau Rouge, 130-R or Pouhon

  • Those engines sound A-MAZ-ING!

  • Best turn for me is 'Pouhon' Sector 2, Spa-Francorchamps

  • This isn't even in the top 10 turns.

The brits are delusional....silverstone is a kip

  • dont know why, but i miss minardi; midland... :/

now we have Team Lotus, HRT, Virgin...

anyway... i miss the old F1

  • If you're taking a curve flat out in 7th gear, it's not that difficult. Becketts is a lot more difficult than Raidillon.

  • @plateofshrimp

Back then they couldn't go flat out through Eau Rouge... They had to lift...

  • english people says that silverstone has the best turns....

  • @Marquinez360 Haha is that a dumb Spaniard accusing another nationality of being biased?

Yes this is the best combination of turns. Silverstone is a better track overall than Barcelona aswell.

  • Turkey. Turn 8. Shit track, brilliant corner.

  • eau rouge in spa and 130R in suzuka are without doubt the best and the most exciting corners in f1!!!

  • Maggots/Becketts is great but Eau Rouge tops that. Istanbul's 4 kink left turns are great too.

  • Eau Rouge/Radillion is awesome, and it certainly takes balls to go through there flat out at 190+ mph like they do these days. But I think that the Maggotts/Becketts complex takes more skill. To not only take the right line through the corner(s), but to also be on the alert for any under/oversteer that might be building as you have the tyres at the absolute limit of cohesion for the entire time you're going through the complex. Whereas with Eau Rouge/Radillion, you know you can take it flat-out.

  • my list includes becketts, turn 8, 130r and raidillion(most people confuse it with eau rouge, while in fact eau rouge is the slight left turn before the upwards raidillion complex)

  • @lordoftheriffs79 You are wrong, Eau Rouge is the right turn up the hill, Radillion is the left bit at the top of the hill.

  • @Lattergassen that's right but radillion is more exciting to me cause it is the point where loads of negative g's build up... eau rouge is also exciting because the exit is blind..

  • Eau Rouge in Belgians Spa is the best!

  • Beckett is my last name(seriously)

  • Man I miss this 3.0L V10 scream!! :(

  • 130R and Eau Rouge are both flat out now, no real challenge anymore.

  • look at how that thing grips....omg

  • Eau Rouge takes little difficulty to achieve. This does...

  • Turkey turn 8 is by far the best corner. Quad apex FFS!

  • i usually never go with popular opinion, but eau rouge is the one

  • Turn 8 for me. 4 apex corners connected at some 160 MPH. 5.2 G-force for 6 whole seconds. You have to be to-the-edge to flat it out.

Eau Rouge is to easy now with V8

  • herman thielke could never come up with anything as exciting as becketts, eau rouge, 130R etc

  • turn 8 istanbul

  • want v10s not tt 4cylinders

  • The esses in Suzuka are definitely the best complex. Best corner is eau rouge.

  • You feel like God when you get this complex perfectly right on Playstation.

  • Yeah, fuck nascar.

  • ohh... the qualifying system 2005.. it was cathastrophicaly!!

  • The sound is just... Awesome ! <3

    V8 sucks

  • eau rouge at spa and "turn 8" at Istanbul for me

  • i love the sound when they approch the corner at 0:54

its great going to watch the grand prix's

    thanks for sharing

  • THE BEST CORNER IN FORMULA 1 IS "EAU ROUGE" AT SPA!!!

  • Comment removed

  • silverstone sucks

  • Dear god listen to those V10's sing!

  • @Dogman36 soon its gonna be 4 cylinders :(((((

  • @F1Mad93 4 cylinders, but with turbo. At least thats what i heard?

  • @Dogman36 i think you might know what year this is.

  • @Dogman36 sorry didn't read the thing above

  • @Dogman36 V12's

  • hwo could it be the best corner ... flat out all the way

  • istanbul is the best corner in the F1

  • Properly speaking, the Eau Rouge corner is only the left-hander at the bottom. The following right-hander that leads steeply uphill, which was introduced in 1939 to shortcut the original hairpin "Ancienne Douane", is called "Raidillon".

  • Suzuka first sector!!

  • no it's not ...

  • Such a difficult corner. F-1 cars so ugly in 05

  • Eau Rouge Hands down, flat out in 7th gear uphill

  • Eau Rouge, Spa. Loews Hairpin, Monaco. Turn 8, Istanbul. Wall of Champions, Montreal. It's gud, but not the best
