I HAD MY FIRST 1st layer LD, i know most of you are probably saying thats just layer one. but ive have never actually had any type of LD before. I had about 5 seperate dreams last night, and in one of them a dream charater was talking to me about a previous dream that he was not in, so i thought to myself "how do you know what happend in that dream, you wernt even there." then i realised that i was dreaming, and everying started to fade and i woke up really exited but also dissapointed.
Funny that I always realize that i'm dreaming and when i do i relax my self and when i finally relaxed i suddenly wake up at a way like my soul just fell back in my body and i can feel my self fall back then wake.. How do i prevent this stuffs. Some times i don't like to realize that i'm dreaming coz il always wake me up from a dream.
i am glad to hear everything i have been experiencing is the exact same as yours. I have had three layer one majors in the past two weeks. Now that i know not to get too excited ill be sure to work on that. i can now remember what i want to carry out now the second i become lucid so ill remember not to fly through the clouds at 100 mph XD
i went into layer 1 the very first time i tried to ld. it was a nightmare. a false waking.i tried to move but couldnt there was a baby that was holding me down and when i realized it was weird that my room was all turned around is when the baby turned into a monster i told my self it was just a dream and i had to wake myself up..so i closed my eyes and threw myself upward..when i opened my eyes i was awake. but my whole body felt weird all day..like jello and weak. im scared to try ld again
so the other day i was trying to have a lucid dream by inducing sleep paralysis and began to hear a humming noise(really loudly at one point, like how astral projection supposedly begins).it was the strangest thing ever, i began to feel tingling all over my body and something akin to my body shifting position or transporting somewhere.anyone ever had this before?i know how it feels to enter a dream and directly become lucid as the dream begins, and i can strongly say it wasn't the same thing.
I've had an... odd layer one dream. My first one too. The oddest thing was, that the dream had just begun and the scene was my bed. While in my bed, everything seemed so real, but I didn't feel any gravity and all, so I at some point started to wonder if I was dreaming. (What triggered this, was that my bed broke without making a sound). I checked my hands, and they looked so real, so I got confused. "Nah probably not", but then I started thinking, and the next thing I saw was this flash. Yeah..
While lucid, changing my dream setting usually gets me excited, which indefinitely kicks me out of the dream.. I've changed it successfully some times, but its not guaranteed.. Tips?
I had a dream character give me an OBE. He was like. " Enjoy your OBE!" Then BAM!!! Became fully conscious, and turned into an ORB. After that I flew upwards really, really fast. Then I opened my eyes and all I could see was white light. Sadly I woke up :( cause I was scared out of my fucking mind.
I had this really weird experience a couple of times but I dont know if I was lucid:
I was having a dream that I'm sure I have seen in the past and was trying to recreate it exactly as it was, doing the same things etc. but at some point I'd do something wrong, wouldn't know how to go on and think "great... I just f**king ruined the dream" and wake up...
I had a layer 1 last night. Not sure what brought it on as i've only got like 5 dreams written down in my dream journal. I just happened to do reality checks by chance. I held my nose and noticed that i could still breathe, i thought "holy fuck, am i dreaming?" i then looked down at my hands and they were both pitch black and one of them had about 50 fingers. before i finished looking at my hands everything went all fuzzy and blurry and faded to black. i then woke up. such a let down.
Basically just want to get more control of flying, I do kno I'm dreaming but still can't seem to go verry high sumtimes just a few feet up above people and there trying to catch me !
Wat is it u say , if ur an experienced .... Anyway I'm getting there slowly I keep forgetting I'm dreaming and only ralize wen I wake up , all I realy wanna do is fly iv dun it soo many times wen I'm out thr but have to realise I'm out there . Thanx .
I just wanted to say that last night I became lucid to the point where I could understand what was happening (I.E. I knew that it wasn't real and that I was actually lying in my bed, which is the weirdest feeling ever by the way) and I remembered all the stuff I've learned from you and I had a really cool experience. Thank you :D
Hey Reece, I noticed a difference in my layer zero lucid dream. Instead of waking up in the dream, I went to sleep in it, we will call it the second dream. The second dream was said to be a lucid one, but it actually wasn't. After having the dream I awoke into the first dream. I later had different dreams that night. I would love to hear your take on this, thanks.
@ReeceJones87 towards the end of the video, when you're talking about how everything goes black and your dream slowly rebuilds itself, that reminds me of sleep paralysis. it happens to me a lot. i'll think i'm awake with my eyes closed because everything is completely black, but really i'm still asleep and about to return to dreaming. also, thanks for all the help, my lucidity in dreaming have increased a lot since i watched your videos.
Okay, I have an odd dream. It started out with me explaining to one of my friends what lucid dreaming was, after, they decided they wanted to try it. I said okay, and we went to sleep. once asleep we had a level 5 lucid dream. They said they did"nt like it because it freaked them out and they wanted to wake up, I tried telling them that if they would stay for a nit and just calm down they would really like it, but they did"nt listen and woke up, then I woke up too and had more dreams. Thoughts?
in one of my dreams i realized i was in a dream i felt like i was about to wake up but i didn't i then thought scene i was in a dream i could jump off the stairs that were around me from high heights with out being hurt but i never jumped off a very high place because i was thinking it would hurt me and i would brake my leg. i don't get this: i was aware and i knew i was having a lucid dream but i still thought of consequences for my actions. any explanation or tips? thanks for the videos
I cannot Ever control my dreams tho if i start feeling a nightmare that Emotionaly get me Angry jealous or anyother i Gain control and usualy ed up fking them up ;l
I had a dream that my chance to get in a girl's pants were ruined by the scream of a ghost. I'm scared of ghosts. I went into my room where it was and kicked the crap out of it! I knew I was I dreaming and had to be a boss. Is that this layer?
One time I had a dream where I was running from something, and then I suddenly thought, "hey, why am I running, this is just a dream, I can do what ever I want to!" I then decided that I wanted to fly but I only succeeded in jumping really high for about thirty seconds before I woke up.
@Katinicnew next time u want to fly, u have to release all doubt in ur mind as to whether or not u can do it. once u do that, u can fly like a bird. one time i did that and i flew anywhere i wanted without worrying about not being able to do it. i even saw a body of water and said i want to fly underneath there and under the water i saw extinct animals that looked like the shellfish fossils
i felt really weird but i thought i imagined it (i did but well you know) so i tried to sleep again but again i was in that same mall (i think ) in another restaurant this kept on like 1 and a half hour zipping through the mall till i had enough of it and just get out of bed.
what do you think this might could be or someone else who might knows .
i was saying that i dreamt being i a mall that i did not have seen before in any way but i was not i an a lucid state within the dream but i remembered being in a mall when i woke up. I was still very tired (back in the days that i did not have a dream journal so could not note it) so i decided to grab some more sleep but weirdly everytime i closed my eyes (not even sleeping) I was in the mall again this time in a giant pizza hut a panic reaction happend and i woke up again (read next comment)
Hey, reece plz explain this one for me : i once dreamt That i was in Some sort of mall with all kinds of fast food restaurants. (did not reconize it). I was not in a
what if i dont even dream at night i havent had a dream in months! and whenever i do it lasts about 10 secs and its me running down a hallway jumping down the stairs and waking up befroe i hit the ground. point is is their anyway i can dream more often to pratice lucid dreaming?
on the subject of the first video, one nightmare I had was me in a sort of undercarriage on an airplane, and going towards the rear part to get a board game. As I came close to the board game, I lost my footing and fell out of the "undercarriage". As I was falling, now that I know about lucid dreaming, I believe that, whilst falling, I came into a layer one or two dream state. Also, just last night I became half paralyzed while awake. Is this, on terms of your sleep paralysis video, dangerous?
makes sence cuz i had a dream i stabbed my cousins' wifes' dad. makes sence?
yea stabbed him to death (n my dream and i was faced with court hearings. it was terrible being charged with murder. weird thing is about two weeks later he got jumped almost to death with a crowbar because he owed 20k could of been a sign
ive been to what i call layer 7 layer 6 i can redream anydream ive everhad in layer 7 i can go into other peoples dreams useing the coective subcontios
I suppose it may be a bit difficult for you to figure out if some of your dreams are dreams or not, they seem anchored in reality. With me it's rather easy to see a dream as a dream because mine cling to fantasy.
Example, I was in a massive castle with a only my fists as odd humanoid beings attacked me, their faces hidden. Seeing as this is impossible, at elast for me, I decided to fight off all of these beings, though one was even trying to hug me, and I went to a lower layer of the castle.
Yes it did. It made me think about dreams too, because when you think about it, we've all had dreams that have become unclear or faded when we realized it was a dream, things materialize in dreams when we focus, and sometimes really vivid dreams. But don't let the movie be the only thing driving you to lucid dreaming (it can be very intense). Getting in touch with our dreams leads you deeper into psychological/spiritual things as well...
Wow these videos are great. I know I'm gonna sound like someone who's just riding a fad wave but after seeing Inception I've been on a quest to find out just what is possible within the mind and dreams, and how to control them. I've always had either no dreams ( I'm always wonder if we dream everytime we sleep and we just don't remember) or nightmares. I'm tired ot my dreams breaking up on me and not havin control, and i weirdly understand everything ur saying. Thanks fo posting :)
@MsWolffe thats exactly what I want to do because of inception. That film did really well in creating the effects of dreams and its unique features. Like 'the kick' and the fact that you wake up when you die. After seeing this movie I really want to get into dreams and find out more about them. They're a really fascinating thing to have.
@MsWolffe Hey you, we are actually looking for some Inception fans to attempt a massive dream share experiement and peeps are just signing up at mo so if curious about the gig just pass through to the home page and follow on :)
after watching your videos i deduced that i have experienced most of that stuff, but layer 1 major happens to me really often, mostly followed by sleep paralysis (i hope you know what it is), here's a example:
i dream something, not being totally aware that I'm actually dreaming, but i have a feeling that something is wrong, then i wake up, see some black people/shadow shapes in my room, but i can't move my body, then i close my eyes on purpose, then i wake up again being aware of what happened
did you ever use the nova dreamer lucid dream machine and if so did it have any effect on your dreams or did you also hear of the new lucid dream device called the rem dreamer only 147 euro from poland. it is a more advanced lucid dream device than the nova dreamer it has a new feature called two way communication. didnt buy the device yet was thinking of it though did you hear of this device ? would you think of buying it ?
2 nights ago i had a false awaking and when i woke up in my dream i was like "wow that was some cool dream" then i went back to sleep in my dream world and woke up in reality in my bedroom in my house. would that mean i was lucid at that moment in time???
i had a nightmare when this dummy like man was just about to swing his axe at me then i woke up and went back to sleep and the minute i came back to the dream the axe came down on me Can anybody explain this? THANKS!!
What happens if you do a reality check in a dream, but then it mimics the restrictions of real life and then you believe that it's reality? But then suddenly... things start REPEATING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It was fucking scary, I thought I was going to die, but then I woke up and tried doing a reality check...but after that dream...I still had a bit of trouble realising that I was awake. It was fucking scary. A way to overcome this is to do a reality check for the reality check!!!!
I often carry lucidity into what you are calling "the black". When I do so, I project with my mind "Re-Engage Dream". This is similar to when a dream begins to fade, gets glitchy or blurry... when this happens I usually speak aloud... "Clarity Now!" and my dream gels back around me.
I just woke up from a lucid dream. I was definitely lucid, but couldn't move, I saw the detail "DETAIL" IT WAS AWESOME! of my old school, but then...I couldn't move...so I was just stuck. looking at the detail of a brick walled building and it all disappeared...but then I tried moving and things appeared again and then somehow I moved quite a distance from where I stood before...and then I found myself next to a teacher and tried to kiss her but she disappeared then I felt pain in my lips.
I am really thrilled to have found your channel, Reece. Thank you so much for all of the information! You are an excellent teacher. I look forward to watching more about the light beings you mention and one day hopefully meeting some myself!
Lately I dream that I've woken up and then I am recounting my dream in detail to another character in the dream, not realizing that I haven't actually woken up. Hah! Going to work on those reality checks!
hey reece, I´ve lucid dreamed most of my life but I just recently found out what it was actually called. I wanted to know what you think of this. sometimes I have nightmares were I see lots of tormenting faces, many times I realise I´m dreaming , try to wake myself up; eventually I am able to wake up, but when I fall back asleep I return to the same dream, what I find funny is that many times it happens with regular dreams as well. this happen when someone wakes me, I can return to the dream
ReeceJones87. i belive i have broken into layer 1 major but im not quite sure. when i fell asleep i found my self at the top of a sky skraper kinda like how you explained. i realized i wes dreaming right then and jumped off the the top and began to fly. then later on i fell from the sky and could not fly after that. i landed by some kind of ruins in a park looked around then i was suddenly in a house party i looked at a clock and the second hand was spinning rapidly it was the one from my room.
What layer is this? A huge bird-like dinosaur came round the corner and right up to my face and I thought 'I must be dreaming' and knew it couldn't hurt me. But I didn't have a chance to realise I had control over the dream because after about 10 seconds I was distracted by a friend shouting and grabbing my shoulder and I woke up. Bitch.
Im not a lucid dreamer, but I did have a weird experience with "false awakenings". The dream basically consisted of me repeatly waking up into what I thought was reality, until I noticed somthing weird in my normal routine. I then woke up again in the same position (lying on side, looking directly across my pillow). I never became lucid during these dreams and each time I was fooled, I can remember at least 6 times but could be more. Freaked me out abit once I woke up.
quick question: whilst lucid dreaming do you sleep as well (REM) as you would if you were not lucid. In other words do you feel less rejuvenated after a lucid dreaming due to the higher level of consciousness?
I had this nightmare that this giant cat was making me suck his penis. Some how I became some what lucid because I thought to myself " what the fuck is going on?". I got up in excitement and started beating the cats ass. Within three seconds I lost all power and ended up sucking the cats penis again. I don't know if I was lucid or not but I really hate cats.
@3:52 Nightmares-I believe once you have become an experienced Dreamwalker you realize there is no such thing as nightmares that they are simply messages, psychic attacks or Demonic Forces with in the dreamworld.with any dream once youve mastered the art of dreamwalking you can control your dreams thus vanishing the things that terrorize or frighten you.
There is 6 layers of lucid Dreaming People forget all about the line between awake and asleep the point at wich right before you fall deep into sleep where your awake but sleepingthis also includes the other way around where its the point right before you come to wake.where your dead asleep but your aware of your sarroundings and you can here things all around you and you finnally realize your awake .Maybe im wrong

When I heard you say that Layer 1 is just around the corner from full lucidity I was like "F&%k!" My last lucid dream I had before I gave up was Layer 1 Minor. I thought to myself in the dream, "I have to catch the guy from that other dream." (I was a cop in that dream.) I then went into lucidity. I became so excited that within 3 seconds, I lost it. Just before I woke up, fireworks shot up in the distance displaying the words that taunted me then and still today: GAME OVER.
So would it be layer zero minor, etc.. If you know that you're dreaming but at the same time don't really take advantage of it, like you become lucid but you just follow the dream anyway? It happens very often to me.
i had a dream once that i woke up from sleeping, but i was still dreaming. so then in the dream i would get up and walk into my parents room and see them, then they turned into monsters, so i realized i was dreaming. then i dreamed again that i woke up so i thought i was awake, then i would see my monster parents again and know i was dreaming then wake up, and it kept on going for a long time.....what layer is that???its like i was going in and out of conciousness of my dreaming
This is so interesting. I had a false awakening last night. My very first night of attempting to become lucid, or even knowing what it was. I woke up in my dream, and i was in my bed and i wrote about my dream in my dream journal, and was talking to some kind of psychiatrist man all about dreams.
Then i really did wake up and when i grabbed my journal it was still untouched. I cant wait to try again tonight
i always have this dream if i forget to use the bathroom before i go to sleep. i see myself in the bathroom from a third person veiw as if i were someone else. i see myself peeing and realize its a dream and i need to wake up before i pee in real life. so i wake myself up. what is that?
Reece. About this character who told you that you are not dreaming. Well ... WE while living here in this physical holographic reality we take definition a DREAM to mark something that is unreal or imaginary. these experiences that we call dreams are not unreal or nonexistent but they are real as they are created by our own mind (not brain) in an out of body (out of physical) dimension. even when you ARE dreaming you are outside of your body therefore out of this dimension in your own dimension!
I'm actually trying this, along with looking at my hands, wrist watch and blocking nose technique I have a joker card with writing on it that I look at, look away and repeat, just like with my watch. It might help but I don't know yet.
haha once I had a dream I was with this family and they were kidnapping me and we were on a boat, so I jumped out into the lake and I was trying to drowned myself to wake up, and that didnt work so i ran somewhere and I said "I might as well kiss you because this is a dream" because there was some cute boy, and then I woke up a little after that...I didnt have full lucidity but some
when i had my first lucid dream before i became lucid i realized that i was waking up so i rubbed hands and maintained the dream state but i didn't become lucid at all. then moments later i heard a voice in far back of my head repeating "your not awake" then I broke through and as i did there as a loud ringing sound and my head felt presurized. but this often happens that i start to wake up and know to rub my hands but never become lucid. what layer would this be.
Great videos but one question. What layer what this be considered: I keep having dreams and I'm walking outside and it is very frigid and windy, and at that point I realize I am dreaming, but the dream continues and I cannot take control. Zero?
i have flyed and jumped over 100 meters high and run real fast but still i didnt knew i was dreaming, whatever i'm dreaming i always think its normal.
i had a lucid dream that seemed to be for 30min to one hour.. but in the movie incention (that is full of fiction ofc) they said that time in dreams seems much longer than it rly is.. so that one hour in a dream can be 10min in real world.. is this true?
btw i tried a trick where u get into sleep paralysis first and then try to get lucid.. i got SP and into the black.. but got excited and got out after about 10sec.. but is this useless since u go right to layer 0?
I think I have only reached a Level 0 ! But i never really knew about Lucid Dreams. I will try to grasp more information about it and get a Lucid dream.
@Meganphantom its hard :( i tried for a while.. then stopped.. then i saw a vid about it 1 year later.. and the same night i had one :P but work hard and u will get it..
every time i discover myself in a dream i get very excited and it feels like everything in the dream but just freezes and i can open my eyes when ever i want but it feels like the lucid dream turns into a day dream. can you relate?
2:10 This reminds me of a dream I once had when I was very young (and also it makes me think of OBEs) was that there was somebody in my dream. I walked up to them and they started saying stuff like "This is my dream. Get out of my dream." and then I started saying "No, it's my dream. I can make you disappear." being lucid for the most part, and yet I couldn't do anything about them being there, and no matter how much I focused on them being gone, they kept standing there saying it's their dream.
@TehUberTrekkie i guess its like when ur close ur eyes and think about a white wall and someone says that ur not gonna picture a black garbage bag on it..
there was knocking at the door and i answered it, there was a sales man type of person, who talked to me about lucid dreaming.... i became lucid cause of it
bro i had a dream where i was in a car and the person driving im unsure who was annoying me, so i said to myself Fuck it im dreaming and pulled the handbrake, but it never really clicked that i was lucid dreaming, and i only realized i was lucid at midday while i was thinking about my dream
Whenever I want to lucid dream, it doesn't usually happen, but then there are nights when I lucid dream unintentionally. It's really cool. I always have these beautiful, colorful dreams with vivid surroundings. My worlds almost always look like they came from the movie mirror mask lol. Then I always talk to dream characters or my friends and family in my dreams and say things like: "man, I wish this was real." or, "this is so beautiful. Too bad I'm only dreaming and it isn't real."
Once I had a dream that I was kidnapped by two men. In the dream, they knocked me out, and I awoke tied to a chair in a dark warehouse. One of the men put a pistol to my head, and said, "This will most certainly be the worst dream you will ever have." Before I could think about what he said, I felt a bullet traveling through my skull in slow motion with agonizing pain. And I woke up shaking in a pool of sweat. It was terrible.
I somewhere heard that when you become lucid and feel that you are waking up from excitement, you can try turning around, it was said that this helps 90% of the times. I always forget to do this when i become lucid
Last night in a dream I was lying on the ground and a bunch of dream characters were standing around me chanting "Where are you Greg? Where are you Greg? Where are you Greg? Where are you Greg?" Each time I was in a different place and finally I realized I had another body lying in bed and i became lucid.
I also saw Atlantis rise out of the ocean and float over the earth like a small moon. A little day residue from watching too many ReeceJones videos...
One time right when I was about to fall asleep I was imagining something but then it was like I was in a dream but also not because I could feel myself lying on my bed but then somebody in the dream kicked a ball into my face and I was really shocked from it and shaking
i had a pretty much layer 4 experience. But for some reason i was worried about time, i was always looking at clocks and then always say "thats not right dream clocks aren't real" but i was really worried about time
hmm.. "cracks and glitches".. for the past few months my dreams have been extremely psychedelic and abstract, there's rarely a sense of being or self and they are always in complete states of confusion and disarray. what would that mean?
I had a dream where i woke up and went out in my hallway and my dog was sleeping in the hallway like he always does but there was also a wolf sleeping near my dog. the wolf was something i saw at a store that was taxidermi and i remember looking at the wolf and saying, oh... now i got another pet... and then i went back in my room and sat down and said to myself i dont have another pet.. so i went back out in the hall and yeah the wolf was there..the next morning when i woke up it felt so real
i always had this happen. id realise it was a dream and wake up exactly 4 seconds after. i seem to stop having lucid dreams when id wake up half asleep and see what was in my dream, in my room.
one question, and PLEASE reply reece! in layer fivem when you can have an out-of-body experience, is it possible for anyone who is awake to see you in the spirit world, as you called it?
What I find really annoying is when I get to a point where I have at least a limited amount of control on what I'm doing/saying in the dream, and I close my eyes for whatever reason, they tend to become stuck shut and I start to wake up so if I can't pry my dream eyes open again, I usually wake up right in the middle of something good.
omg I had a lucid dream when i was playing basketball with my dad i looked at my hand and it was rainbow colors. but i got too excited and all i got to do was switch my pants to basketball shorts magically then I woke up
then i heard something in the room that just opened. almost like a growl or moan but its indescribable. then i was totally lucid and tried to wake myself up but. i was like in sleep paralysis. it fucking scared me
its so weird you mentioned waking yourself up from a nightmare but still being aware your dreaming. i did this just the other night. i was in a very narrow hallway with light blue walls and many white doors all the way down. like a hospital or something. I sorta knew what was going on but didnt really care. but I walked past one door and then it ripped open. and i turned around and a chair was in the hallway. then it immediately was thrown to the other end of the hall
i have problems accepting what my dream characters are saying. when they tell me im dreaming my mind says no im not and moves on to another moment in my dream.... how should i go about over coming this??
My dream characters are quite often kind enough to remind me that I am in fact, dreaming.
Usually, just by looking at a character I get a sense that I am not awake, simply because of the look in their eyes. It's always rewarding catching that look!
And to be more on topic, I always dream of very weird things like a bad guy chasing me or being put in a situation where I might have to flee. In many of my dreams, if not the majority, I am always able to fly and I'm very much aware of the fact. But I don't necessarily become aware that I'm actually dreaming. It's kinda frustrating because in my dreams I want to do different things but am always stopped by these "monsters" -_-... I never wake myself up from them tho.
So what layer would this dream be sometimes when I dream I will fall and it feels so real that I jerk and wake up but I have not ever really tryed lucid dreaming but everyone tell me what you think. Thank you
that's actually your mind sending an electric shock through your body to make sure it's not dead. it's like your mind say "crap, I think he/she is dead, lemme check"
Great vids. Thank you. Been having lucid dreams for about 20 yrs now. Still on occasion I will have what I term as "semi lucid" dreams. In these strange dreams I am lucid but feel as if I can only "see" out of one "eye". Annoying more than anything because I can't seem to shake it. I find myself trying to find a lighte switch to turn on to help the situation. Just thought I'de share. Keep dream'n
"whats goin on here?" and the look in his face i knew that he knew what i meant. And i remember him saying something about how him and my mother wanted to split up so he faked his death and what not to try and make it easier on me and my sisters. im like what the fuck who the hell would do that, i dont believe that at all what is really going on here. than the dream ended and i woke up which kinda pissed me off cause i wanted to hear what he had to say lol
second i would like to share i cant remember which topic this correlated to but....my father had passed away when i was about 12. And in a dream not long ago i remember i was at my moms and he just randomly showed up..knocked on the door and everything. And right away i knew somethin was weird, but no one else acted any different like it was normal. I remember going up to him and asking if i could speak to him in another room. When we got in the other room i remember asking him
id like two share two dreams that ive had that correlates to a couple things you have said. the black i believe is what you called it? I remember having a falling dream and right when i was to hit the ground i experienced the black. thought i was waking up than as you said went right into another dream. but in the second dream it just continued from before. Like a skip in a movie, i just brushed myself off and started walkin lol.
when i was 7 i had my most memorable false awakening. i would wake up go into my parents room and instead of my mom it was so kind of monster and it would basicly kill me ( like strangle me or cut my head off) and i would wake up in my bed and i would get back up and go in my parents room and it would happen over & over til finally i said fuck it and just laid back down
Oh cool I've had a false awakening. So I was having a form of a lucid dream. I mostly have them in the morning after staying awake for a hour or two. Then I go to sleep and have had them constantly.
Also when I had a false awakening I knew I was going to go back to sleep and thought "I'm going to dream about MASH" and there I was, at the 4077!
i had a nightmare where i woke up in a car in the backseat, I looked though the front wind shield and saw a dark empty highway, Not a car in sight. The bad part was i finally climbed into the front seat and there was no driver, So i decided to drive, Then like 5 seconds after i sat int he drivers seat something tapped my shoulder, At this point i was already scared so I woke my self up so i didn't even bother to turn around to see what it was, Then i woke myself up.
Nice descriptive videos mate! I like the way you have described the various gradations of lucidity and the excellent examples you include.

so the other day i was trying to have a lucid dream by inducing sleep paralysis and began to hear a humming noise(really loudly at one point, like how astral projection supposedly begins).it was the strangest thing ever, i began to feel tingling all over my body and something akin to my body shifting position or transporting somewhere.anyone ever had this before?i know how it feels to enter a dream and directly become lucid as the dream begins, and i can strongly say it wasn't the same thing.

Yeah..

I just f**king ruined the dream" and wake up...
has this happened to anyone else?
BillyViBritannia 4 months ago
I had a layer 1 last night. Not sure what brought it on as i've only got like 5 dreams written down in my dream journal. I just happened to do reality checks by chance. I held my nose and noticed that i could still breathe, i thought "holy fuck, am i dreaming?" i then looked down at my hands and they were both pitch black and one of them had about 50 fingers. before i finished looking at my hands everything went all fuzzy and blurry and faded to black. i then woke up. such a let down.

I ones had this wierd excperience.
I thought I woke up but my body was realy heavy and I couldn’t move my head.
But I was sure I was awake, because I could see my ceiling and felt I was laying on my bed.
I was trying to lift my arms, to see my hands, and they were very heavy.
When I had my hands in front of my face, i touched my cheecks, I could feel them. But I didn’t see them.
I was really in panic. Then I tried to pull my arms back up. I shocked awake with my arm in the air.

Thoughts?

on the subject of the first video, one nightmare I had was me in a sort of undercarriage on an airplane, and going towards the rear part to get a board game.

I suppose it may be a bit difficult for you to figure out if some of your dreams are dreams or not, they seem anchored in reality. With me it's rather easy to see a dream as a dream because mine cling to fantasy.
Example, I was in a massive castle with a only my fists as odd humanoid beings attacked me, their faces hidden. Seeing as this is impossible, at elast for me, I decided to fight off all of these beings, though one was even trying to hug me, and I went to a lower layer of the castle.
xShadowsaur 1 year ago

MsWolffe 1 year ago 27
@MsWolffe thats exactly what I want to do because of inception. That film did really well in creating the effects of dreams and its unique features. Like 'the kick' and the fact that you wake up when you die. After seeing this movie I really want to get into dreams and find out more about them. They're a really fascinating thing to have.

after watching your videos i deduced that i have experienced most of that stuff, but layer 1 major happens to me really often, mostly followed by sleep paralysis (i hope you know what it is), here's a example:
i dream something, not being totally aware that I'm actually dreaming, but i have a feeling that something is wrong, then i wake up, see some black people/shadow shapes in my room, but i can't move my body, then i close my eyes on purpose, then i wake up again being aware of what happened

"Clarity Now!" and my dream gels back around me.

hey reece, I´ve lucid dreamed most of my life but I just recently found out what it was actually called.

2:10 This reminds me of a dream I once had when I was very young (and also it makes me think of OBEs) was that there was somebody in my dream. I can make you disappear." being lucid for the most part, and yet I couldn't do anything about them being there, and no matter how much I focused on them being gone, they kept standing there saying it's their dream.

bro i had a dream where i was in a car and the person driving im unsure who was annoying me, so i said to myself Fuck it im dreaming and pulled the handbrake, but it never really clicked that i was lucid dreaming, and i only realized i was lucid at midday while i was thinking about my dream

I always forget to do this when i become lucid

last night i had my first lucid dream and this involved layer one minor where i woke up and got myself really frustrated :(
Bloodscalpr 1 year ago

I had a dream where i woke up and went out in my hallway and my dog was sleeping in the hallway like he always does but there was also a wolf sleeping near my dog. the wolf was something i saw at a store that was taxidermi and i remember looking at the wolf and saying, oh... now i got another pet... and then i went back in my room and sat down and said to myself i dont have another pet.. so i went back out in the hall and yeah the wolf was there..the next morning when i woke up it felt so real
candykid5 2 years ago
i always had this happen. id realise it was a dream and wake up exactly 4 seconds after. i seem to stop having lucid dreams when id wake up half asleep and see what was in my dream, in my room.

one question, and PLEASE reply reece! in layer fivem when you can have an out-of-body experience, is it possible for anyone who is awake to see you in the spirit world, as you called it?
SheWolf8765 2 years ago
ok, last night, i had about six to seven lucid dreams, only for a few seconds after realising i was dreaming, i woke up and was like DAMMIT!
SheWolf8765 2 years ago
What I find really annoying is when I get to a point where I have at least a limited amount of control on what I'm doing/saying in the dream, and I close my eyes for whatever reason, they tend to become stuck shut and I start to wake up so if I can't pry my dream eyes open again, I usually wake up right in the middle of something good.

its so weird you mentioned waking yourself up from a nightmare but still being aware your dreaming. i did this just the other night. i was in a very narrow hallway with light blue walls and many white doors all the way down. like a hospital or something.

BellaChild22 2 years ago
My dream characters are quite often kind enough to remind me that I am in fact, dreaming.
Usually, just by looking at a character I get a sense that I am not awake, simply because of the look in their eyes. It's always rewarding catching that look!
InkBleedsDeeper 2 years ago
lucky. I usually have to force myself into lucidity. I try to remember how i did it the last time but it never works the same way twice.

You are.... so frikin hot.

@ReeceJones87 What do you think about life after death?
Froggatt 1 year ago
that's actually your mind sending an electric shock through your body to make sure it's not dead. it's like your mind say "crap, I think he/she is dead, lemme check"

Great vids.

When we got in the other room i remember asking him
ODJIN5000 2 years ago
id like two share two dreams that ive had that correlates to a couple things you have said. the black i believe is what you called it? I remember having a falling dream and right when i was to hit the ground i experienced the black. thought i was waking up than as you said went right into another dream. but in the second dream it just continued from before. Like a skip in a movie, i just brushed myself off and started walkin lol.

when i was 7 i had my most memorable false awakening. i would wake up go into my parents room and instead of my mom it was so kind of monster and it would basicly kill me ( like strangle me or cut my head off) and i would wake up in my bed and i would get back up and go in my parents room and it would happen over & over til finally i said fuck it and just laid back down
MrJuggalogamer93 2 years ago
