Your room can (and does) add its own echo and comb filtering to the standing waves. (ie distortion)
Here's my system playing this song, 50% of my wall and ceiling drywall is treated with anti-echo absorbers; with a pair of diffusers on the side reflection points. I also have 10 soft 7ft curtains across the front three walls to further this.
Pianos are a reverberant instrument to being with, but with all that in place you can squeeze out more volume/dynamic range without some of the side-effects that go with doing so.
This is especially important for smaller rooms where the front and side walls are only a few inches from the speakers.
I've found it is only an effective treatment down to about 200hz, but there is no upper limit thankfully.
