  • 2001 tiburon can do 130 on asphalt, but on sand/salt it takes a lot more power to go that fast. The rolling resistance is much higher on that kind of surface, so he did good getting to 115+.

    Cheers!

  • @Beamster420 It's my buddies 2001 i4 with K&N cold air intake system, upgraded intake cam, upgraded exhaust, H&R race springs, full KONI shocks, Whiteline sway bars.... i think thats it.. its mostly stock. He still uses it as a daily driver for his IT business, but he built it for Auto-X. Didn't need too much power, it was built for handling.

  • yeah about 130 stock... idgi.

  • Is it pretty easy to spin out in the flats? Never been

  • modified? it should be goin like 150 they can do like 130 stock

  • @GEARHEADGUY92

Our Rd's gear out at 135mph. Also if you modd any car, it wont go faster, the Top speed wont change, you will get to that Top speed faster, yet your not going to be able to go faster. Unless you get a longer final gear, which in a Tib, is just about impossible to find one, the Elantra Beta two trans has a very slightly longer final gear, but not worth the hassle.

  • not the salt flats that is the alvord or the track in califoinia

  • how is it modified? A stock 2001 tiburon will easily do 115mph. (and yes I have one)

  • Nice car. Sounds like it needs a clutch.

  • Man I wish I were at the salt flats
