this song was originally recorded by the Four Fellows (James McGowan, Larry Banks, David Jones, Teddy Williams) and was written and composed by my father Larry Banks but stolen by David Jones who is listed as the writer. Larry Banks also wrote the song Go Now which was recorded first by Bessie Banks and then The Moody Blues as well as Paul McCartney & Wings, Cher, Ozzie Osbourne, Simply Red and many many others.

@phillyisfun Elvis had already lost his mother in these March 1960 pictures as he was leaving Germany to return to the States. With a 5/24/45 Bday Priscilla was almost 15 here & would not see Elvis for most of the next 3 YEARS! Elvis went home to date Anita Wood again, & have affairs with his leading ladies, & Priscilla dated boys in HS, Priscilla visited in the summer of 62 after she was 17 in CA & Vegas, Anita Wood moved out of Graceland Aug 62, & Pris. visited a 2nd time at Christmas at GL

Priscilla moved to Memphis in March 1963, & was set to stay at Elvis's father & his wife's house & finish her last few months of senior yr. She soon moved into Graceland. They did NOT have sex when she was 14 as the haters are saying or her parents would have acted sooner than 3 yrs later. She has refuted those "tech" virgin bride claims, but AFTER she was 18 & moved in where she would live with Elvis until 5/1/67 when they married when she was almost 22. I wanted to add that Priscilla two visits in 62 were about 2 wks each so they only saw each other for 4 to 5 wks out of 3 years plus according to Priscilla's movie Elvis hadn't called in 6 months, but she kept writing asking to visit. I know this is the opposite of what she says on Elvis by the Presleys!!

I've been saying this forever. We need G.I. Blues and Soldier Boy played over here at Fort Lewis. Everyone would be so much cheerier if we had more GOOD talent and upbeat music at events instead of stupid country music all of the time. That stuff don't attract anyone. There's too much of it! I want soldier songs like this, it is happy and cute and I love Elvis.

SUPER GTREAT! Elvis in Uniform and the girl he left behind . Images like these were in the papers and on T.V. all over the world back in the day . People just could'nt get enough of this. You would'nt know it but Elvis was hurting deep down inside because of the recent loss of his Mother and this girl " Cilla" was there when Elvis needed someone in his most trying time in his life. Elvis was always bonded with Cilla for that after their divorce and right to the end of his life.. This is fact!!
