Kids today must have a cell phone. This commercial is important for all families who want their kids to have a cell phone. So many families cannot afford the contract phones.
With the AT&T & T-Mobile merger hanging over our heads I think people must be crazy to get involved into a contract for the next 2 years. I'm just glad to be independent and in control of my phone costs by using Straight Talks unlimited plan. I just think that people signing up on contracts now might be letting themselves in for extra hidden fee's, and increase in hidden fee's and increases in the cost of calls. How many contract customers read the small print in their contracts?
Its hard to beat the pre paid deals out there at the mo. no contracts, no hidden costs just take it or leave it and you don't have to top up until you have your next 45 bucks! straight talks unlimited deal for $45 a month gives you unlimited minutes, texts and data - pretty sweet
@spottydogish Yeah contracts don't make too much sense in our day in age, they should be monthly and flat-rate, which is why I love straight talk. Though I do miss my iPhone's 3G speed and power, I couldn't afford it after i took a pay cut :/ but hey I can talk as much as I want and it calls everywhere!
Ya it is awesome being on the Verizon network, great service and the best thing is that we get huge savings and the great coverage too. I would definitely recommend ST to anyone!
I agree with supersunshineguy. Straight Talk has a great product and you are not hooked in, so you can walk away any time you like. This should keep them well behaved enough that you will have no reason to walk away.
@posserable That's a good point, the fact that they don't have you locked down on bills each month for two years gives Straight Talk more incentive to give you great customer service and not pull any fast ones on you because they have to work for your dollars each month!
After being hooked into a contract for years, I love the fact that I can walk away from Straight Talk any time I like. The unlimited plan at $45 a month is much less than I was spending, and I can reduce my monthly spend any time I like. This is the way it should be. I can't imagine why anyone would continue with a contract.
@SuperSunshineguy Yeah I think the contract part really makes getting a contract plan a bad idea. Hidden fees? Small print? cancellation fees? Why do you need these things with straight talk, which costs half as much and uses the same exact network (Verizon)?
I went to Walmart and saw these cellphones and immediately fell in love, The Qwerty keypad on mine really makes it easy to take full advantage of the unlimited texting I have with my 45 dollar plan ;]
From personal experience I can tell you that straighttalk is a really good deal. I used to have an expensive contract that would charge all sorts of extra fees for raoming and texting etc. With straighttalk I pay $45 for 30 days of unlimited talk, text and data. I will never think of a contract again
The straighttalk deal of $45 unlimited sure is a good deal from Walmart. An even better one comes on black friday when you can get a $45 unlimited card and a Samsung T55 all for the price of $45. In other words the phone is free! I can think of one or two people who are not connected yet who could benefit from this deal or it would also make a really great christmas gift
I have the new Nokia E71 Smart Phone they just came out with and I literally get the SAME exact service as those "Post-Paid" At&t customers do. But I only pay $45 a month. LOLOLOL. Lets see, I get At&t's 3.5G network speeds, Post-Paid (FULL) network, NOT there Pre-Paid and At&t 411, Not that AD supported crap 411 like ALL other ST phones do. All for $45 a month. Also the E71 comes pre-loaded with Ovi (Voice) Navigation. So FREE nav. Though I use Google Maps app I installed too. Best ST phone yet
This dude sounds pretty relaxed- close to how i'm sounding these days with no worries about huge surprise bills, no dropped calls and 75 buck of savings a month. All thanks to Straight Talk...
@theNandi1 Of course he's relaxed...He doesn't have to worry about a monster bill waiting for him at the end of every month. And he's getting the best coverage in the country. Fact
I am so glad I was stopped at Walmart and managed to hear about the $45 unlimited deal with Straight Talk. I am ususally in such a rush to do the grocery shopping and just get in and out of there as soon as I can. I haven't even thought about changing my phone contract for years until a couple of months ago when I have half an hour to kill at Walmart. Unlimited texts, minutes and data - no contract with steep cancellation charges etc - great coverage! Do yourself a favour and think about it!
I love this cellphone plan. I use the $45 a month plan and the savings are great. I am always trying to search for the best deal out there and this deal saves me money for sure. Going the smart way definitely is choosing straight talk.
Straight talk has no termination fees, no contracts of any kind, and no monthly bills! With savings of $50 a month, the cellphone pays for itself! What a great deal!
You said it! When you hav kids it's not just your ONE own cell phone bill that you have to worry about it's TWO, THREE or more surprises at the end of the month. My kids are on the $30 a month deal and they never manage to reach the 1000 minutes, texts and data. It's great!
Straight Talk is just so awesome. The first month I switched, I saved $40 on my phone bill. What I really enjoy about Straight Talk is their low flat monthly rates. I always know what to expect and there are never any hidden fees or surprises.
The plans aren't the only real savings with Straight Talk - the phones themselves are also a big money saver. Rather than shelling out so much for a phone to get plan or a rebate, Straight Talk phones have no contract and are super affordable so you its all win. I love being able to change phones at my will and not worry about paying and the selection keeps increasing.
I must say, the temptation was huge to take the unlimited option ($45), but I managed to curb that spending impulse us women have ;) and realized I would never fully utilize it, so I opted for the $30 plan and save even more now (spending spree elsewhere!). With unbeatable value and reliable coverage, I couldn't be happier with any other plan!
I also buy my kids the $30 Straight Talk prepaid package, which provides 30 days of service, the 1000 talk minutes & texts are more than enough for their needs. The kids must also learn to work carefully with these valuable resources, it is part of their education in handling finances & responsibility and the younger they start the better off they will be in starting their savings accounts
Straight Talk has helped so many people get out of debt by offering unlimited calling, texting and data access for only $45.00 per month which is so cheap compared to being on a contract! The money saved can go to other things when you don't have a cell phone bill at the end of the month!
Saving a total of at least $540 a year is huge money specially if you still owe on debts. The $30.00 / month for 3 days service Straight talk service plan card is unbeatable value as far as I am concerned, with 1000 minutes, 1000 texts/MMS messages, 30MB mobile web access which delivers +- 300 web pages. The super LG100C for $29.99 is also a great complementary phone for the package.
@Suri29ify Not only that but their prepaid plans are blowing the major carriers out the water (T-mobile just started offering a $50/mo and AT&T is $60/mo. plus surcharges and taxes and Sprint is $69.99 but thats a contract... Verizon doesnt offer unlimited prepaid plans)... I had a prepaid plans with AT&T in which i was paying $49.99 a month for only 300 minutes and 3000 night/weekends and 200 texts.
Bough straight talk card activated on 7/24/10 and getting you don't have enough fund msg. customer service can't fix it and i'm out phone for 48hrs due to technical difficulty. NOT THE FIRST TIME I GET A LOUSY SERVICE..
@jchem You can do both. you can either go to Wal-Mart and buy the $30 or $45 cards (you can also buy 6 months of service for each card) or buy the service card online.
You can also enroll in Auto-Refill and have the $30 or $45 taken out your account every month (which is pretty much standard now with all carriers)
@662chillin I got my daughter a Straight Talk phone and the unlimited plan when she went to college and I put her phone on auto refill off my account and now neither of us have a cell phone worry in the world AND she calls home every week!
You know, I actually use this service and it's every bit as great as they say. Best network coverage (on the VZN network) at the lowest possible price.
Still paying more than $50 for a 400-minute contract? Or maybe over $100 for unlimited?
That's just darn stupid! Without signing any contract you can get unlimited for $45.
So even if it is marketing, I damned glad I saw one of these vids. It means more than 50 bucks back in my pocket every month.
