This is soooo Biased. it is pro- Nets and supported by the YES network. I mean not ONE against the development response from Brooklynites? Most of these ppl could not even afford to go to these games and get near court side seats. Some of these guys will only be offered menial jobs for the corporate masters that own the arena. Let's get real and realize who's playing who in this franchise of sports and entertainment.

I grew up watching the Nets since I was a baby (I'm 20 now).
I remember driving from upstate New York down to the Meadowlands to watch the Nets all the time. I now live in FL and still follow them.
It saddens me that they are now owned by real estate people and not basketball people. I would've liked to have seen them stay in NJ, but I really just want a winning team, regardless of location.

the Nets stink now only becuase the owners don't give a damn. They are bleeding since why would Jersey people support a team that is leaving?
So they trade away all talent (i.e. high salaried players). It doesn't matter if they win in NJ. What matters is to be as bad as possible to get a high draft pick. That combined with the possibility of landing Lebron or another star to coincide with the Brooklyn move.
Let them go. It would've been great if they joined the Devils in Newark though.

Why is it selfish? If New Jersey would start developing it's areas (and it already has started building skyscrapers finally) then maybe there'd be more interest and enthusiasm to stay and be competitive which is what is needed to maintain a healthy economy. Everyone blames NY for all the wrong reasons. New Jersey is like NY's sister city. Get with it people! You have a tremendously better opportunity then lets say ................... chicago.
