@666sende666 I'd advice you to get ableton next time instead of upgrading FL. I used to work with FL and can tell you that I'm really happy I switched to ableton.. everything is laid out way better.. it'll really speed up your work flow and has a lot of little nifty options and tools that FL lacks which will boost your possibilities and creativity.
@DJRoksor im COMPLETELY feeling what you are talking about, i used ableton for productions before on a Mac and just want to confirm few advantages of ableton with you:
in ableton, i can create a midi clip and copy to any instrument in the playlist to play the sound, however the midi clip created in FL is only dedicated to that instrument.. (unless copy paste the notes all over again) there is not quicker way in FL right?
thanks so much for replying, it expands my mind alot more!
@666sende666 You can save the MIDI notes to a MIDI file and then use that if you need to copy it to a lot of tracks but if it are just a few track then it'll take the same amount of time as just copying them.
rite on! i use the slice to midi option alot when recording samples to tracks. however when i go back to them, the midi triggers get all messed up. any ideas why?
For those stating that your "stealing" the music... your absolutely not. Its creating midi, and allowing you to generate different sounding drums out of the same pattern. And the same exact drum patterns are repeated and used on a daily basis. Music repeats itself constantly... it HAS to.
!fucking,,,fucking hilarious...i'm new using live 7 and i was thinking to use the midi thing,,,but after this is a must to learn that in a deep way,,,!thanks bro...amazing!
I spent a ton of time today trying to figure out how the heck to do this and then export to a wav.....and you summed it up all right here. Thank you, immensely!!! Now I am off to slicing things up and making some loops, samples, beats and all kinds of cool stuff!
MAN LOL idk how to use abletone wtffffff like i made some tigh tmelodies i been producin 8 years usin studio equipment and fl studio's but ableton is frustrating GRRRRRRRR
If you do this to tracks you download from artists and you make your own tracks with their sounds does that make you a cheater or something?? or does it make you a producer or remixer?
Yeah, Exactly but check the following track it copied sounds from another track and even though I let them know they did it they gave me thumbs down on my comment..
(Maker of sound) BSOD - Even More Sketchy
(Thief) Hardrox - Feel the hard rock
the part they copied is very short..it is first used @ sec 4 if you search the second track here on youtube.. and @ second 47 on the original...I´ve seen the same thing happen on beatport A LOT of times. that´s why I wondered if it made you remixer.
By the way I did not say I would copy their sounds...instead I´m trying to find out how to make those sounds myself..maybe I can even Improve them..I mean you never know..it may happen...
The only way I would do this is if I was asked to remix the track...not to use the sounds on my own tracks..
i never buy software, why pay when u can get it for free. until the day when 100 pigs come bursting through my doorw(which will never happen)i shall always infringe copyright. give it a try, u know u want to;)

for the 'slice to new midi track' option in ableton, is there similar function in FL studio?

Does anyone here know how to slice to midi in a triplet time signature? It seems I can only divide the beats by halves...

I agree, make your OWN beats, but he is demonstrating an amazing feature in Ableton 7. So, for that, I think it's a good video.

These are all royalty free commercial loops which people use in their projects but I seriously feel that one should make fresh original beats..
