Dude, at least you have a fireplace that looks like one. The housing in Brighton is atrocious. Conservation idiots try to conserve even the rate of decay. No repair of single-glazed box windows, no insulation ... And my landlord tells me that it would reduce the value of the housing area if the fireplace in my flat would be reopened for regular use.
