Actually, no. Anti-Flag was NOT forced to change their music, they have stated this many times. This change of sound was their own choice. Justin even said that this was a record they wrote for themselves to experiment. Maybe this record is an "excuse of punk", but if punk means not being able to follow your own path and having to play what "punks" tell you to then fuck punk.
i donno know if their old songs were better but it's true i prefer more some older songs than some of these new songs. they sing more like the group "Against Me!" here

Anti-Flag is f-ing godly. You're not a true fan of the band if you don't accept their decisions. I like their new sound and I like their old sound. But it's really the lyrics that are great. Anti-Flag and Rise Against are by far my two favorite bands.

It's still good. The album is quite good too, even though it's not the Underground Network (so far, their best). And it's not like they've turned like (new)Sum 41, or worse: Fallout Boy.

I agree, it may be different, but it's still anti-flag. Be thankful they dont do the same thing in EVERY album... it'd get a bit dull afterwards. I'm not a huge fan of the videoclip but the song is good. Can't wait til they come back to Australia.

OMG... They totally sold theirselves! Their old songs had very intelligent messages and were not as softcore as that crappy LP.
Their new songs are written for 14-year-old wannabepunks who just don´t know anything of politics and wanna feel like their very political.

Anti-Flag is f-ing godly. You're not a true fan of the band if you don't accept their decisions. I like their new sound and I like their old sound. But it's really the lyrics that are great. Anti-Flag and Rise Against are by far my two favorite bands.

christ almighty; yeah theyve sold out and theyve contradicted themselves by discouraging capitalism then signing to a major label, but they did it to discourage corrupt governments and negative worl issues. theyve prioritised their values.
the old stuff is better; give me fuck police brutality anyday. its punkier and raw. this stuff is appealing to a larger crowd in order to convey the message. if u think theyve sold out youre partly right but dont be so ignorant

It's still good. The album is quite good too, even though it's not the Underground Network (so far, their best). And it's not like they've turned like (new)Sum 41, or worse: Fallout Boy.

yeah there old stuff is way better by a long shot but think about it they are gettin old as a band and if all their shit was the same after all these years it would suck so lets cut them some slack there are some songs like spit in the face and a few others that have the same style as for blood and empire and terror stae so its still anti-flag. be happy for dont listen to it and stop complinning

I agree, it may be different, but it's still anti-flag. Be thankful they dont do the same thing in EVERY album... it'd get a bit dull afterwards. I'm not a huge fan of the videoclip but the song is good. Can't wait til they come back to Australia.

bands change as time progresses. It's not the best video but I worked it out like this. Each album had certain fundemental themes. This one more focused on the people living in America. I love The Modern Rome Burning, wish I could get the full song, with quote at the start. Look, they're only wishing to reach everyone... Knowing Anti-Flag they weren't enjoying it.
