I feel awful for you. You're a great singer, but the production was absolutely terrible. Worst i've seen yet- by far. We're doing Grease this year at my school and i'm the costumes manager. Why is Frenchy black? Why is her wig hot pink and long? Why are they wearing shower caps? Everything is just wrong. And where's your set? You're better than this shit.
Did you do the school version, or did you just edit this song?

Also, just a minor critique, on "smock" in the beginning, you're a little off. And you end the note pretty abruptly. When you cut it off, it doesn't sound as good.
And after, "Turn in your teasing comb..." you and French completely drop character. It's really obvious that you're just waiting to sing again. Be careful of that. Always know what your character is thinking.
You drop character after "No customer would go to you unless it was your father!" too. Even though there's just instrumental music there, your character IS thinking. Show Teen Angel in your actions instead of just Chase.
(By the way, my school did this show last November, and it was so much fun! I love Grease. :D)
School version. lol That was brutal Im giving up my dreams of the stage now! lol jk Thanks for an intellegent critique, but to be fair, this was the worst production of Grease in the history of school plays. We didn't even start working on it until 2 weeks before opening night. I didnt get this part until that 2 week mark, so with such little prep, I think I did good. Although you do raise good points.
Ah, yeah. My school did the "real" version, and I'm so glad we did, haha. We got a complaint from some lady that we said "hell" too much, so we added an extra one. :D
But don't give up! Every actor gets his share of critiques, even if he doesn't want all of them, haha. I can tell you that from my own experience. D:
And with the 2-week thing, yeah, I think you did do pretty well for that amount of time. :)
i missed this due to staph infection, so i really have a good excuse. i'm glad you posted this, it really made me wish i was there. you did a great job. i told you you could sing. ;]
