That's what happened with Dumbo's mum, remember? Of course it's not true of ALL animals, only some, and I think it's probably the same with some people. I did once have a dream though, that Bellatrix was a feline Animagus that I’d kept as a pet like Ron did with Wormtail, until the Death Eaters attacked my house one night and Bellatrix transformed before my closed eyes!! At least Molly only gave her a quick and painless death.

I'd never have thought of Molly as a murderer, but then again I've seen Disney animals and real ones on news reports that have reminded me of her.
