That was such a great looking video, i am convinced, i think i will buy the HV30! It looks like you filmed this with a much more expensive camera! One question, was there any color correction?
Very nice! I just wanted to see what the HV30 HD would look like - but this was a great short. Very captivating music and synchronized scenes. Took some work I bet!
the only thing i didnt like about this was how out of focus the field was. the depth of field was way too deep for my taste. also the frame rate seemed to low on some of it. its an awesome looking camera tho. ur really talented and u got a good eye
I'm not sure. I guess just because I don't get enough views or something. What are the qualifications? Also, thanks for all the really nice comments! I really appreciate it! :)
I've watched a number of your videos in the last half hour. Really eye catching camera work and editing. I would enjoy seeing larger projects from you in the future. Keep it up.
Thank you very much! I'm actually just now getting done with a short film. It's going to be 15 minutes in length, so I don't know if it'll be posted to youtube, but I'll see how I feel about breaking it up into two parts. It'll definitely be on vimeo, though. Thank you for the nice comment! :)
Oh man, I love Monterey...though, I don't think I've ever been to THAT Monterey...all mysterious and from a California coastal Agatha Cristie adaptation (or a Monterey version of 'The Ring', to be less pretentious).
And that's footage from the aquarium, right? Cuz it looks like you strapped on some scuba gear to get it.
So damn pro! I started dreading that it was going to end. You really know your stuff. I like the way you went from traveling there to peacfull water scenes. I learn so much from you.

Did you have any adapter attached to the HV-30? and what editing program did you use to do the color correction?
amaneal 3 years ago
Sorry for the late reply. No, there's no adapter or anything, just the naked camera. I use Sony Vegas to edit.

Completely agree! This is exactly the kind of creativity in film that I want to see... NOT people imitating the latest "cult" clip!

Great cinematography and editing. Goes to show that the image we see is not the work of the camera but the work of who is behind the camera.
What editing software do you use?
BlameMeProduction 3 years ago
I use Sony Vegas. Thank you so much for your comment!
