  • Is This Canon?

  • I Fell like Im watching The Begging Of A Scary Dramatic MovieXD ButThats Amazing:]

  • Hey, would you mind explaining how you got the look at 1:28? Or anyone if they know.

  • Holy shit that was amazing.

  • That was such a great looking video, i am convinced, i think i will buy the HV30! It looks like you filmed this with a much more expensive camera! One question, was there any color correction?

  • hey i just bought a hv30. what setting did you have it in durring the filming?

  • @916Aldo I don't remember, but I have the settings on cinemode with manual focus.

  • By the boat it have realy film look !!! ao cool!! Ich will buy the HV 40

  • Very nice! I just wanted to see what the HV30 HD would look like - but this was a great short. Very captivating music and synchronized scenes. Took some work I bet!

  • the only thing i didnt like about this was how out of focus the field was. the depth of field was way too deep for my taste. also the frame rate seemed to low on some of it. its an awesome looking camera tho. ur really talented and u got a good eye

  • Amazing...

  • I'm not sure. I guess just because I don't get enough views or something. What are the qualifications? Also, thanks for all the really nice comments! I really appreciate it! :)

  • I've watched a number of your videos in the last half hour. Really eye catching camera work and editing. I would enjoy seeing larger projects from you in the future. Keep it up.

  • Thank you very much! I'm actually just now getting done with a short film. It's going to be 15 minutes in length, so I don't know if it'll be posted to youtube, but I'll see how I feel about breaking it up into two parts. It'll definitely be on vimeo, though. Thank you for the nice comment! :)

  • I love that place, I live an hour away from it. I recall buying a lego aquarium set when i was visiting that place my first time in 5th grade.

  • Super univers...Bravo, pure talent..

  • wow this amazing.. epecially the DOF @ 2.20 - 2.30 !

Did you have any adapter attached to the HV-30? and what editing program did you use to do the color correction?

  • Sorry for the late reply. No, there's no adapter or anything, just the naked camera. I use Sony Vegas to edit.

  • this.. is awesome. absolutely gorgeous cinematography. immediately subscribed

  • Hey thank you!!

  • i dont get it Stupid chicks who sing on there webcam and get all the views while talented movie makers are being somewhat ignored

  • Thank you so much!!

  • Completely agree! This is exactly the kind of creativity in film that I want to see... NOT people imitating the latest "cult" clip!

  • ¡Guácatela! Hermoso video.

He visto varios de tus trabajos y me gustan mucho. Eres un referente en edición y sensibilidad.

    Te felicito.

    Desde Chile, un saludo.

  • very good the cinematographer was awesome Loved how you filmed & edited it loved it.

  • Very beautifull ! your images arrive like waves on a beach, i love it.

    Olivier

    (sorry for my approximate english)

  • Great cinematography and editing. Goes to show that the image we see is not the work of the camera but the work of who is behind the camera.

What editing software do you use?

  • I use Sony Vegas. Thank you so much for your comment!

  • How do you color correct in Vegas?

  • everytime i thinnk to myself that I don't really need the HV30 a video like this comes along and now i definitely have to go buy one! damn you! ;)

  • hahaha my sentiments exactly!

  • hey i got the hv30! Please check my videos 'A Short Long Walk' and 'Candles' and comment on them :) Thanks so so much!

  • hypnotic. i love your work.

  • have you had a chance to use the Canon HF100 by any chance? if so whats ur take on it?

and of course ur videos are amazing. keep up the good work.

  • No, I haven't had a chance to use the HF100, but it looks like a really nice quality camera. Thanks for the compliment!

  • Oh man, I love Monterey...though, I don't think I've ever been to THAT Monterey...all mysterious and from a California coastal Agatha Cristie adaptation (or a Monterey version of 'The Ring', to be less pretentious).

And that's footage from the aquarium, right? Cuz it looks like you strapped on some scuba gear to get it.

    Good job.

  • That was stunning.

  • Good grief. I wish I were as good at film as you are.

I just do some basic sequences and thats it.

    Someday...

  • That was amazing you have a artistic vision

    what music was that

  • Hey thank you! It's Doppleganger by Efterklang

  • wow.

  • So damn pro! I started dreading that it was going to end. You really know your stuff. I like the way you went from traveling there to peacfull water scenes. I learn so much from you.

  • Very cool ! Nice work.....

    Bert-
