I will give the Nekromantic films this, they succeed in being disturbing far better than many of the modern Torture porn films do. Even though I didn't see it, I have read and can understand where some might actually be able to see where the director was making a statement on society and our roles in life in such a society. None of the torture porn films of today do anything other than attempt to disgust. They are vapid films whereas this film and the original at least seem to be "deeper".
