  • ”. He also had Usher make songs..”You got it bad”, “You remind me of a girl”, “Papers,” Michael Jackson “Liberian girl” song and a lot more songs and he had a lot more movies made. He made the movie “Maid in Manhattan,” using J.LO as me and had Mark married her and keep their relationship private, so I would do the same and when I did not want him he broke up their marriage. He also used Kim Kadashian because she is a Libran like me, to let me know he wanted to marry me and when I refused, he

  • Mark Formica is the head of the mob and is the one that ordered Michael Jackson’s killing, he is also responsible for the pedophile rumor of Michael Jackson and had that family sue Michael for 25 million and Mark pocketed it. Mark also had congresswoman Gifford shot, to send me a message to shut up after I reported him to the FBI. He had been stalking me for 27 years and he was married and did not want his wife to know, so he made movies...”Me, myself and Irene.” and “Bounty hunter”. He also

  • Phyllis was loving to a married man who was also the head of the mob (Mark Formica) she did not know he was a mobster. He forced her to commit suicide because his wife was going to divorce him and she found out and she was going to get the proof. He had Donnie Hataway make the song "I'm singing this song to you" and if you notice Donnie also supposely commited suicide and had mental issues like Phyllis. He is doing the same to me. Mark is responsible for their death. listen to her songs to hi

  • The Bible is just as clear about suicide as it it about it not being OUR place to judge or condemn others i.e. take the PLANK out of your eyes & stop focussing on the SPECK in anothers eyes! Also, it is not our place to speculate about her relationship/ standing with God - for all we know she reached out to Him with her final breath. As a Christian I thank God for her live & pray that she is now at peace singing with the angels. Depression is an illness tht is noted in the Bible eg Saul. Selah

  • She is in Heaven She was already in Hell right hear on earth

I do not judge her I give love spiritually to her I don't like that she left the way she did but I know that GOD himself is loving and forgiving

Those so called Christians who believe in GOD know in ther hearts that we should forgive as he forgives so Love her do not judge her

    .....PEACE!

  • @sandroeleven As far as Phyllis's case goes, idk, I don't remember ever seeing that suicide is strictly forbidden, and I'm not there for her judgment so idk, I pray that she did enter into the gates. Who wants to damn someone to Hell??? I wish that on NO ONE. Mental illness is an illness, plain and simple, just because you turned your life over to Christ doesn't mean you'll be healed of anything. Also, a mental illness is just that even if Phyllis couldn't sing and was ugly. Doesn't change her

  • it doesn't change her inside, no matter if she was average, or whatever. The lifestyle she lived had an effect on her, but at the same time, she had an effect on her lifestyle just the same. It could be depressing to be beautiful and successful and everyone trying to bring you down, but you also have to realize, even if she was married, had children, healthy, even the fact that her child brought home an F on their report card or a bad customer where she works could affect her the SAME.

  • @sandroeleven I don't get what you're arguing about as far as Biblical stuff goes, and i don't see how the Bible actually contradicts itself. People love to take snippets of words and scriptures and phrases to prove a point, whether it be a "good" point, or a "bad" one. I say that God is GOOD because everything He does serves a critical purpose. Things He does or "neglects to do" (in OUR eyes) may serve a greater purpose. We cannot think like God does, and we can't understand.

  • The Bible is a collection of stories that have some true validity in them but also have unproven fables handed down from person to person .

Hey look ya'll Jesus was Black ..That is a FACT but the so called establishment won't admit it. Scientific proof @ a certain time ofe the year you can walk from one side of the Red Sea to the other but Bible cats do not wanna accept the truth

So all this bible says stuff is null and void This is the mentality that justified Slavery in the BIBLE..PLEASE!

  • Phyllis Hyman was bipolar! PERIOD!! You only have to be familiar with mental illness in your own life or within your family or amongst your friends, to understand NOONE makes you bipolar. It is biological! Phyllis Hyman gave MANY interviews during her lifetime where she ADMITTED to being a very difficult person to be around. So, you really don't need to guess or make up circumstances in defense of Phyllis because one can be beautiful, have everything going for themselves and be mentally ill!!!

  • 2 Questions. #1. for Bible thumpers... doesn't the Bible say , *Sampson went to heaven- AFTER -he committed suicide? God knows whats in the heart joy or pain. How about a mentally ill person who kills themselves or someone with a fatal sickness who thinks the cost of long term medical care will hurt their remaining family budget, so they kill themselves rather than die slowly...God will send them to hell ya think?

  • @skydoll100 samson repented and "then' went to heaven.

  • Whats the song being song at the first 30 seconds?

  • ****OK NARRATOR CHICK: HOW IN THE HECK DID THISSSS BECOME ABOUT Y.O.U.?? WE DON'T CARE THAT Y O U THINK Y O U LOOK LIKE PHYLLIS-WE DON'T CARE THAT Y O U THINK YOU ARE SOOO BEAUTIFUL AND THAT YOU THINK PEOPLE ARE JEALOUS OF YOU. [I DOUBT ALL OF THAT CRAP YOU SAID] I CAME HERE TO WATCH A VID ABOUT PHYLLIS NOT HEAR ABOUT U AND YOUR PROBLEMS AND ISSUES. JEEEZE!

  • Thank you, thank you......Everything you said is true. After reading the book

Toxic People 10 ways of dealing with people who make your life miserable by: Lillian Glass.

Quote: "Toxic people hate you when you succeed and when you are beautiful. They also hate you when you fail. You can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself."

I have, and still live with this. Only now I know the problem is not me, it's the toxic personalities.

  • not in it nd yu decided to change heart nd lose faith. yu expected god to answer on your wen we are on his time. Yu cant expect to be blessed if yu impatient nd ready to stop bein a believer nd only call on god in times of trouble instead of thankin him for bein alive. now yu are unhappy nd want to pit other ppl.in their faith down, yu let the devil speak to yu to believe their is no god. I hope one day yu let gods love into your heart nd he delivers yu of the evils. may god bless.

  • im 17 nd was not fortunate to ve alive nd knowing of phyllis hyman works, but ive recently became interested in her works. I came across this because I wanted to see the unsung episode, all last nite I read the comments nd I made an account jus for this nd what I have to say is more than 500 characters. im shocked nd appalled at what yu grownups believe nd really say. I cannot believe how everything must be a debate on god, religion and the world. she didnot create this video to read your

  • @DeenasWorld:Having these type of negative experiences with people can try to wear you down,I won't let it,I was completely alone in that situation, there was nobody to report their behavior to, because they were all participants, some of the things that were said or done is hard to wrap my mind around,...to know that they did that or said that....but they did...and I know that it's not a reflection of who I am,and they can't define me,You let me know also that I'm not alone Thanks for the Video!

  • @DeenasWorld:Not only were people saying some of the most defaming...derrogatory...and just out right ignorant and nasty things about my character....their behavior was just...horrible...if any man came within 10ft of me,other females would get to them and say something defaming about me,I am single, attractive and shapely and most of them were married or overweight or both...It is such a sad commentary on the emotional state of alot of insecure females....You're not alone, keep you're head up....

  • @DeenasWorld:I felt bad that Phyllis Hyman felt that death was the only option for peace...I knew about some of the rumors that were said about her,and I do know first hand that people will project their own discontentment with self onto someone else ,I worked a job for a couple of years where the females, Everyday would spread vicious rumors about me simply out of jealousy(this included management)these people didn't know me personally,I'm still dealing with the residual from that experience.

  • WoW !!!

You're commentary is on point !

  • Bi-polar is a man made theory!Come to Christ light in the Word and stop hating on the true Christians that at least try to live without hypocrisy!Any theory from men of lack of faith who are mostly atheist are deceived and deceiving the ignorant by their eloquant speeches!G-[d could of saved phyllis as he helped others from not fully accomplishing suicide! We all didnt fully know her as G-d did and who can figure out these rare mysteries but her judge!Hell is real and i hope no man to go there!

  • @777Musicology It's so very, very sad that some still debate whether mental illness is REAL! We have mentally ill people in our family and let me tell u, becoming a Christian will only ensure that you are a mentally ill Christian.OK!! It doesn't go away because you accept Christ as your savior. This kind of outdated, illogical reasoning explains why so many mentally ill people live on the streets & don't get proper help. We are born into a sinful, imperfect world & that INCLUDES mental illnesses!

  • @777Musicology By that reasoning, EVERY one who comes to know Christ should be healed of ALL abnormalities in an instant. Is that right? So, that would include those with cerebral palsy, down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and all severe mental handicaps? You really need to evaluate what you say & think over these topics more thoroughly. It is foolish to think that EVERY mental or physical ailment will be healed just because someone comes to Christ. That's NOT biblical!

  • @777Musicology Paul, speaking in 2 Corinthians 12 of his “thorn in the flesh” (given to him by a messenger of Satan to buffet him, lest he be exalted above measure), said that he PLEADED with the Lord 3 times that it might depart from him. In response, the Lord Jesus said to him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." MESSAGE:God is not going to heal every ailment in our lives. The Bible CLEARLY tells us so. Paul LIVED WITH his ailment & so will many today!

  • @777Musicology Another example in the OLD Testament that CLEARLY tells us GOD is not going to heal every ailment mankind possesses: Jacob and an angel wrestled until daybreak. When the angel saw that he did not overpower Jacob, he touched Jacob on the sinew of his thigh & as a result, the Bible tells us, Jacob DEVELOPED a limp (Genesis 32:31). Of which, he LIVED WITH! Because of this, "to this day the people of Israel do not eat the sinew of the thigh that is on the hip socket" (Genesis 32:32).

  • I am so sorry that Phyllis is no longer with us. We are truly at a great loss.

  • I agree with what you have said . Relying on people to love you is dangerous because people can change. You have to love yourself, however this is easier said that done ...

Being strong and not compromising in todays world is a difficult thing to do. The worlddoesnt like people who stand up and defend thier convictions. I'm not suggesting that is right but it is just the way it is.

  • if you look like Phyllis and sing like Phyllis,...go on and give me yo phone number.

  • this lady is obsessed and didn't know phyliss at all she wants to be phyliss!

  • @deenasworld, please know exactly what your talking about before you say crap like that about phyllis, you dont even know, and your rambling on as if you make any sense, you are making her out to be a attention deprived maniac that was stuck on herself, she suffered from a medical condition, BIPOLAR, she could not help it, I have a friend who has it, and one of the symptoms of Bipolar disorder is SUICIDE! so you really didn't do much but made yourself sound silly cuz you dont know

  • @CedTheKid1 she suffered from being "BIPOLAR" Manic depression, it had nothing to do with her looks, it had nothing to do with men, it had nothing to do with money, it all had to do with a chemical embalance in her brain, and it caused her to because severely depressed to the point of suicide, and she killed herself... my bestfriend suffers from Bipolar disorder, so I would know, whoever this chick is talking in this video is a stupid idiot!

  • Thank you Sister!!! I loved her and I too suffered from people who hate me because I am beautiful. I too have THOUGH T ABOUT SUICIDE! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR ARE NOT ALONE!

  • you are a sad bitch. come on post a video of you singing OLD FRIEND. that usually sorts it out cause, no-one could sing that like phyllis. c'mon prove me wrong

  • Whats the name of the song.

  • So-called Christians should read their Bibles! Jesus promised a resurrection of the dead! Billions dead will live again, Phyllis included. John 5:28,29... There is no burning hell, and if there were, my God Jehovah, would have NOTHING to do with it, and neither would his son Jesus!!!

  • Did phyllis hyman have any kids that anyone know of. I like to hear u sing and see what u look like. Cause if u sound just like her then u have a wonderful voice.

  • does anyone know the name of the song at the start please??

  • compromise what exactly??...i hear partly what your saying

but and confused as to what you, she was compromising

  • well I would like to see and hear you if you look and sound like her. please adjust the microphone on your videos. It sounds like the mic is in your mouth.

  • Wow compelling response....this was very interesting...I loved Phyllis as if she was someone in my family and yes she was crying out for help through her music but I don't that anybody was really listening....do you feel me?....RIP Phyllis....one day I hope to "Meet you on the Moon" Love ya......EJB

  • Phyllis Hyman had a very tortured soul and had a mental illnes that had not been addressed. Her music told us of her pain, her joy, and her happiness. There was a void left by the deaths of her mother and grandmother which she tried to fill with drugs, alcohol, food, and sex, but the void she had was spiritual in nature. I believe that right before she took her last breath, she asked God for forgiveness and it was granted. RIP Old Friend.

  • @53nubianqueen i think ke ke Wyatt going down the same path...........and they both fav.

  • DeenasWorld, you summed it up right there at the end and I'm in total agreement with you. You can't depend on people to validate you. You have to become a fountainhead of her own happiness and God is the water in that fountain. Nice tribute...(Love the song from the Pharoah Saunders' album, too. Very nice touch).

  • I think her breaking point was when her mom and grandmother had die I dont think it was about her beauty it more about her weight going up and down

  • we never had access to her, much like it is today: we can't understand why some people can cope and others can't. Phyllis was tired and wanted to go. Tired of people telling her all the shallow and repetitive things that go with a person of her stature and caliber. If you look and sing like Phyllis, get on it. Shake the insecurity that projects from your voice and get busy. I don't even want to read what the christians have to say. It's irrelevant now anyway. What's done is done. Good luck.

  • @ DeenasWorld: Honey I don't know how old you are but I'm 55 and like a lot of folks was very heartstricken with the news of Phyllis's death. There was an interview of her best friend and roommate, who was there the night she died. yes a lot of things you said or was trying to say was accurate but you were a little more subjective than objective. Phyllis was over 6' tall, a model, actress, and singer. Physically imposing to insecure men. Most men of our era love women like Phyllis but tbc...

  • Although, I never met her, I knew a woman that I worked with that knew Phyllis personally. She said that Phyllis was a friendly, funny, classy and a loving person, not to mention a superb artist. I love listening to her sing to this day. Listening to her sing has helped me through a few rough times. I hope that I get the chance to meet her in the afterlife.

  • Everything you said was/is very true. I saw Phyllis in concert at the then named Holiday Star Theater in Merrillville, IN, a few months before she ended her life. It's sad that the haters can drive someone to take theirs lifes. Although Phyllis had her own demons and issues to deal with, but I'm sure some people around her, failed to lift and embrace her. I am a white male soon to be 50, who has experienced some rough times in life because of some peoples jealousy and insecurities.

  • to the author, I don't think the people behind unsung really cared about making Phyllis look great but to get views and make scandal. Even though I didn't see the show, that was my assumption because they aren't usually nice or forthcoming on the positive side. also, I wanna see you since you say you look like her, I never seen anyone that looked like her or sounded like her ...that would be interesting.

  • OMG YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. PEOPLE ESPECIALLY WOMEN HATE ON OTHER BEAUTIFUL WOMEN. IT'S SO SAD THAT PEOPLE HATE ON PRETTY PEOPLE. DEENASWORLD, PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO SINGING ONE OF PHYLLIS HYMAN'S SONGS.

  • What is the title of the song at the begining of the video? Its so beautiful!

  • @janayc13 Pharoah Sanders Feat. Phyllis Hyman "As You Are"

  • I have to say this and if I offend, then be offended indeed. I have always been in the same frame of mind as you. We have to love ourselves first because once we love ourselves then and only then can we love others. People who make you feel inadequate and unloved are haters of themselves. It is because of the hatred for themselves that they hate you. Love yourself and then pass that love to others. Distance is the best remedy when it comes to dealing with haters.

  • You have a point. I do not look like Phylis, however I am a "Beauty" and many times I feel what you are saying. I am different, I travel, I marvel and gorgeous men, I enjoy life to the fulless. My family especially doesn't understand my world, I refuse to compromise ME. It was said that Phylis was Bipolar, and she was very lonely. Stay strong Sis. Right love folks from a distance. I MUST BE ME!!! I love the Lord! He keeps me.

  • why do people always feel the need to bring religion up in EVERYTHING? great video by the way!

  • Thank you so much for sharing, Deena! I most certainly can relate to you, Phyllis and others that deal/dealt with this situation every single day. It is definitely a gift from God to be able to come to a place where you are minimally affected by the world's standards/views and are able to move forward in whoever God created you to be with or w/o their support. I am now coming into that myself. I wish Phyllis had found that place of peace while she was here.

  • cont'd: She is a force to be reckoned with and I believe she posessed the power (in her voice) to shift generations. Having said that, now I'm thinking maybe she is. Anyhoo, she and I share the same bday (today) so I've made it a point to celebrate her bday w/ my own. I was thinking they should make a movie about her life, but I was trying to think who they could cast as her that would do her justice. I'm thinking Jazmine Sullivan would be awesome! She looks a lot like her and has the voice too

  • the question is "did she feel as if she was in hell already, in her mind and soul now she might feel in heaven without the stress of the world. So the judgement is not for us, but for her spirit alone, we all have our ups and downs. Just like MJ. Its not our job to say what she should or not do. SHE WAS HUMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pmstanfield She should have never gave up. People need to understand that failure, can be a great thing, it can really make you a stronger person. Too much success at a early age, can make you weak and very prideful.

  • loved you realism

  • hmmm intersting. "Deenas World.. looks so similar to Phylis Hyman, even sounds like her.

but no glimpse of Deena to be found... "I cant help but wonder why in this age of visual audio.. there is no picture of "Deena"??

  • In God's wisdom for example: 2 is unity and has its own meaning. But in mans wisdom 2 equals 2 ones and ONE is unity. Can you see the selfishness?(If you don't understand its my fault for expecting you to). In Gods wisdom things just don't have an appearance without also having a meaning and also being beautiful and also giving life one artifact from God is a whole school.

Understand that I don't care if u understand or not

  • Sorry for getting off the subject of consistency.

Also lets be for real we are not consistent either. That doesn't mean you have to subscribe to inconsistencies. But due to our own inconsistencies we see inconsistent those things we are normally supposed to see.

Which leads to Gods wisdom: There are many things and events in earth and the celestials that were designed by god to invoke a response from you just like when you put a cd in a cd player.

  • "But due to our own inconsistencies we see inconsistent those things we are normally supposed to see.

    "

What does my own inconsistencies in my life have to do with the bible being a contradictory book. You are being evasive. Yes humans are flawed...so flawed that they accept stories as truth in order to correct what they dislike in their lives. Its like a homosexual becoming a christian b/c he thinks it will make him change what he hates in himself.

  • @sandroeleven who says gay people who are christians hate themselves?

  • Comment removed

  • @sandroeleven what are you talking about?

  • @sandroeleven you just wrote me asking a question????wtf..

  • Deena - you just articulated the core struggle of my life - through your own experience. That's me. I'm really touched! If you ever actually read this comment - Thank you.

  • @Rijksband your not alone

thank you deena for putting out those facts

  • Wow your ego is simply amazing...to say you just like the woman you describe as the most beautiful woman on earth. Honey I think your unbalanced, but to describe Phyllis so beautifully and then say you have the same traits is wrong. No matter how beautiful or talented you are you MUST allow others to assess these characteristics. To express the conclusion that you are beautiful and talented strips you of all your beauty. You are pity, I hope you can be well.

  • @feldman300012 @sadroeleven I to suffer with depression and I am Christian God is the answer to everything you have to P.U.S.H pray till something happens. God answers prayers there is power in the name of Jesus. Seek and you will find trust me. Since I have been in prayer and seeking God my depression has gone away. I was suicidal I was even put in a hospital this started at age 14 see the thing is ppl want quick fixes you have to give you whole heart to God you can't be half and half

  • Comment removed

  • @sexyladyforreal My point is that there are many who have depression, disease, poverty, etc whose prayers are never answered. They fast, stop sinning, etc. All I hear is "Im praying to god". In all this praying, what action are they taking. ARe they seeking education, science, family, etc?

  • Mans greatest strength and weakness is the abstract Because the abstract is where our 5 senses don't work And we believe that if our 5 senses can't pick it up then it doesn't exist

Its impossible for the majority of humans to believe in god on nature alone

In this abstract world we have to control deadly thoughts which can due us harm

These demons were the cause of Phyllis Hymen death. People like to say words like "depressed " or whatever but they were demons

Think about it she killed herself

  • @ColdGripHandle This is true, i never looked at it this way before, howver so people do need med's but everyone needs God all the time!!

  • God does exist but governments and society has such a strong hold on humans that there is no avenue of reasoning that you can travel to know him within mans world. Most churches don't lead you to god they lead you away from him.

The whole christian system has been pre-primed to work in a way that leaves you powerless so you can be controlled Because if the people knew God you would not be able to have power over them

Most of the people that really know god may seem insane to the typical person

  • @ColdGripHandle i feel u.....Jesus would be disgusted to see what hypocrites have done in his name.

  • @ColdGripHandle You are soooooo right!

  • i know this is alittle off topic, but what song is this? i desperately want to hear the full version!!! :D

  • @yvetteblalock It's Pharoah Sanders feat. Phyllis Hyman- As you Are.

It's an excellent song with supurb arrangements.

  • @yvetteblalock the song is called "As You Are" I have the full song up on my channel if you'd like to hear it,she sings so beautiful on this track.

  • @MCLAMB4LIFE92 thanks...i did :)

  • You know I overstand how Phyllis felt.I tried suicide twice. I do have a higher power that has my back, but people are crazy because they are people. People want to mold you to be what THEY want them to be. I feel you as well Deena. I'd love to meet you personally. I've been there. I survived suicide. Not saying that it can't come back, but so far I've been good for JAH (GOD) has been working with me.

  • What is the name of this song that she is singing in the beginning?

  • Can you get to the freakin point and get a better mic if you're gonna post this!

  • Holistic health and wellness is key in curbing out depression. In the Western world, depression is seen in a sense as a death sentence.

  • God is definitely the answer to everything...HE IS EVERYTHING. We have to remember to always put him first...ALWAYS! It starts with praying...even when you don't feel like. Get on your knees and face if you have to and surrender to Him. Surrender where you stand...but talk to Him...He already knows our hearts and what the enemy is trying to do. Surrender to God and he will pull you through and life will be better....God just wants our time. That's not asking for much.

  • @Lyrica81 iGod is not the answer...many people die believing in god. Why are so many busted christians waiting and praying but see nothing? Education is the answer, science is the answer, people are the answer. Poor phyllis.

  • Deena, don't talke about it, be about it! SHow a pic of yourself.

  • she was indeed beautiful in appearance but she was not the most beautiful woman in the world. And life is a matter of balance. The varibles are great and different for everyone but ajustments have to be made. I felt her spirit and always wanted to meet her but she died before that could happen.Place the creator and truth infront and you might get thru with your sanity

  • DeenasWorld- no diss but keep in mind that the Unsung series probably had tons of film they did showcase but since the shows on people are only an hour they slice and dice what they want to highlight in that timeframe. A lot of the other points you make are very valid though and I agree 1000%. I think a lot of what you state about Phyllis can also be the same reason for demise of a lot of great musical talent we have lost within the last decades as well.

  • Whats the name of the first song?

  • In the end, DON'T... LET... "PEOPLE"... DRIVE... YOU. I can apprieciate what you say, but love life & whoever loves you. "F" everyone & everything else. Plain & simple.

  • I heard Phyllis Hyman suffered from manic depression & complusive disorder. Addictions usually are external symptoms of psychological problems.

  • "Unsung" has had this problem with a number of their programs, even some errors included in the shows which should have hit the cutting room floor. I dig the show, but they really have some work to do seriously. Keep speaking the gospel, Deena - it's appreciated 100!

  • Suicides leave nothing but infinite pain behind. It's a selfish and lazy way to go out.

  • WHAT IS YOUR POINT? There are a lot of beautiful people. I am one.Would you really commit suicide because someone doesn't like you? Just because a person doesn't like you doesn't mean they lack self esteem or envy you. It's up to you to love you. Do you think by ranting on her beauty, then saying how you look exactly like her is too much? What is the point of all that? Anyway, there is help out there. You have to love yourself and continue doing what works for you.

  • @neno8403 Phyllis has shown that suicide is a WASTE. You can do ANYTHING you want! Think about that! What do you wish you had?... ...really think... ...now GO AND GET IT! It's there, don't be weak, be strong and your soul and the world will be a better place. I really hope you're just joking to get a response. I hop nobody is stupid enough to chuck away an entire lifes worth of opportunity. If I had the guts, id move to another country and start afresh. just imagine that Neno. IMAGINE AND PURSUE

  • @Neno8403 suicide is never the greatest option. It's ALWAYS the worst. If you die, nothing gets better, and you chuck away the chance to make it so. An unfair hand is just one game. Just imagine that your bedroom is a colour you don't like. Paint the walls! If the paint doesn't stick, move somewhere else! There's plenty more colour out there, it's not all grey trust me. Phyllis is an icon, and our loss of her has become a symbol of how wasteful suicide is. Maybe she should have thought about

  • Suicide seems really great right now for me. When you are dealt and unfair hand in life and nobody cares and you're all alone, suicide is the greatest option to ever be made available. I feel for Phyllis. I know her pain 100%. At least now she is at peace and in no misery. I hope to be the same way one day soon.

    RIP Phyllis

  • Neno please get help! Call a crisis center if you need my assistance, contact me. Seriously.

  • what's the song at the beginning of this?

  • @Wykesidefruitmachine "As You Are" (Pharoah Sanders)

  • @Deenasworld - i agree w/ u completely. we must rely on God and His love to define us and know that real joy comes from Him and from loving ourselves. That positive energy will attract like-minded people to us. That has been my experience. Strut your stuff no matter who you are! We are all unique!

  • you are right! thank u for posting

  • Comment removed

  • @Pllm30 It most instances suicide is NEVER a good excuse. However, when you are mentally ill you are thinking with the mentally ill mind. Bipolar run amok. Usually people commit suicide because they see no other end to their pain

  • apollo: I used to think that way too. Now I'm thinking it is ok to commit suicide; really. She didn't ask to be brought here. Why should she continue on if she was unhappy? There is no point to life when you are in constant emotional pain. You can be in pain for so long that it becomes increasingly difficult to ever find happiness or peace. All professional help will do is pump you up on mind numbing pills.

  • thhis is some BULL

  • Drugs? She was never addicted to drugs....huh?

  • @visionimagify She was addicted to cocaine and booze.

  • I love Phyliss Hyman I relate to her all the way.I have bipolar disorder I go through the same thing. All her video's I feel when she sang and they touch me so deeply.R.I.P Phyliss this is the only way right now for you to get it

  • @DeenasWorld

You are soooo right! Self love is the hardest & sweetest love to master as well as remaining true to what you KNOW is right for your life and your souln, esp as a WOMAN. This world is filled with darkness that hates LIGHT. Phyllis was a LIGHT like most talented, genuine artists, honest artists. That's why it's so important LIGHTS to maintain/gain more POWER at the tops of these companies, esp in the areas entertainment and media which influence so many people.

    RIP Phyllis.

  • @misslady1908 When you are as sick as Phyllis was, it is really hard to love yourself, even when you try.

  • i luv you phyllis!!!!...R.I.P....you are truly missed!

  • Deena Glad to see you back on Mike

  • What was the name of that song that was playing?

  • It's called "As You Are" =)

  • Thank you soooooooooooo MUCH!

  • This beautiful song came off a Norman Conners album that feature Phyllis Hyman

  • @morrisman64 That was Pharoah Sanders

  • I agree with what you are saying I have been through all the things that Phillis, you and I have gone through. I make myself happy because of God. I have been told about how beautiful all my life, 2 bad marriages,an unstable parents lots of drama only God freed my soul. I am an RN with a Master in Nursing and people did not care about that , I worked for 25yrs and I am proud of that but I went through hell. God is my Redeemer, and friend.

  • praise be to all that is Jesus God shall make you happy . She shall redeem and she will be your savior. She is all we need! She is beautiful!

  • I agree with you. There are a lot of self hating people out there who try to inflict hate on others. But also I think Phyllis needed to take anti depressants. I take them and they work. It is a chemical imbalance. Of course spirituality helps but sometimes medicine is needed

  • The sad part about it, back then her condition was new they didn't know that much about it.

  • I guess that's just a battle in life we sometime encounter but we still have to trust, I believe in God for me it works

  • My question is why do you go t hrough it ?

Because I have a son who battles with bioplar , andmy self depression but I love me and have always, I am 53 years old, I see my self before any one else, please world love your self and you can make it with God's help depend on man and you will lose it////

  • Some depend on god and still lose it. Why are people who believe in god still struggling with depression?

  • Don't blame God She is not responsible for our failures People ask why she would create mass murder- serial killers- drugs depression- war - sickness perversion - deformity etc., She allows people to be themselves

  • lol...she...love it!

  • @sandroeleven because that person don't really believe.

  • @dcjax No there are many that really believe and nothing happens. Life happens with or without belief.

  • @sandroeleven because god is an illusion

  • @sandroeleven @sandroeleven its because those who believe in God are not immune to the harsh adversities present in this world. And many people think or even teach that just because you believe in God, God is going to take away all your troubles. That's a lie. (2 Cor. 12:7-9) But he gives them strength to endure. Those who "lose it" unfortunately are those whose faith waver possibly because they are wanting something God did not intend for them to have or are going about it the wrong way

  • @yvetteblalock Again, why then are ppl suffering for years? Wy doesnt god intervene if he sees us going over the edge? I thought he loved us? Why can't ppl say 'I dont know". Like i said god is not the answer.

  • @sandroeleven if you really want to know, send me a message.

  • @yvetteblalock Just say you dont know. You dont have the answers for everyone's life...your belief in god is just that...a belief.

  • @kmcl11 What i have to say takes up way more than 500 characters. I never claimed to "have the answers to everyone's life". Your belief that there is no God is a belief as well. There is nothing wrong with a belief when there is evidence supporting it. I know that there is a God and I'm not going to argue with anyone about what i already know. And though i don't know everything, i know the answers to the questions @sandroeleven asked...because i once wondered too.

  • @yvetteblalock I didt state i was an atheist. In fact I am more agnostic. You mention evidence but know there is no evidence for god. Looking at a baby bor doenst mean god did it. Youbelieve in god. That is all. My question is how do you know your version of god is right? Had you been born in Saudi, you'd be telling me about Allah? Is no coincidence. Furthermore the christian god is full of contradictions.

  • @kmcl11 i didn't say you were an atheist. i said you didn't believe in God. agnostics don't believe in a God either. They believe you can't know if there is one or not. I know because i was one. Before that, I dabbled in Islam but lost interest after i came across things that didn't add up to me. and though i believe in the Bible, I detest most established as "christian" doctrines.

  • "i didn't say you were an atheist. i said you didn't believe in God. agnostics don't believe in a God either"

Where do you get your def. of atheist and agnosticism? They are diff. Atheist's done believe in god. I dont care if you dabbled in islan, my point was that if you were BORN in Saudi you would be a muslim not a christian. And that you would be convincing me of allah and not jesus.

  • @kmcl11 it was never my intention to convince you of anything. you replied to ME first! lol I'm just going to squash this. I apologize for anything i said out of misunderstanding. I respect and even understand your views to some point. i just came to a different conclusion. Believe it or not i don't blindly believe in a Creator out of impulse. My faith is backed my research and reasoning.

  • @yvetteblalock Agreed.

  • @sandroeleven Just simple wisdom , strength with a tab of intelligence can solve many of the vices that destroys man.

If you say things like "Being depressed is not wrong " Then you give depression the same license as you would happiness. Thats like mixing poison with your food. You have to know good from bad. One of the most evil things of mankind is that they mix good and bad as if there is no difference. You maybe confused and exiled from god but you can still see that much

  • @ColdGripHandle Some of those vices are oppressive religion..lol. There are those who shun family, quit jobs, and become lazy ppl based on scripture. And what is startling is they dont even know where the scripture comes from!

  • @sandroeleven Thats silly how can people quit jobs, shun family and become lazy based on scripture but don't know where the scripture comes from ? How can you know... what you don't know ?

All of that has nothing to do with the existence of God...hell i can look into the water and notice a stick appears crooked looking ...and then take the stick out the water and it appears straight. What does all that have to do with the stick? It only shows something at work in me while the stick is the stick

  • @sandroeleven because it's easy to do wrong and hard to do right obviously!

  • @dondretaylor23 Being depressed is not something 'wrong'. Too bad god doesnt do anything for those stuggling. All their prayers go unheard. Life is tough, and we must be the ones to help ourselves

  • @sandroeleven In your case God is not the answer. For one thing God is who he is and not what you want him to be. The nature of God is nothing like mans nature God is not a democracy. You say " Being Depressed is not wrong" well you need to go ahead and be depressed if that will make you happy. Get it?

  • "The nature of God is nothing like mans nature God is not a democracy"

No you people seem to flip flop on 'god's nature' all the time. When I said being depressed is not wrong I meant that it was not sinful....Of course its not healthy to be depressed. But lets leave the religious crap out of it. B/c everyone has their own little idea of what their god wants and doesnt want. Nothing is concrete.

  • @sandroeleven You say " you people flip flop on God's nature" first of all I am not trying to get you to believe in anything. Evidently you don't believe in God. My point was that the God that you are referring to is not even the right one. But I guess that has a lot to do with the general name God. If all I knew of God is what you know I probably wouldn't believe either.

  • @sandroeleven ~ Why? Because we are virtually powerless over the evils of depression. I suffer from it, and I know from what I speak. I have a strong faith and spirituality, and those are what get me through the attacks of both depression and anxiety. I wonder why you can't reconcile having depression and faith in God.

  • @edwardjames50 I cannot b/c depression in the church in considered SIN! If you are depressed, god should have done something about it, esp when depression can lead to suicide. Why pray to god if all remains the same?

  • @sandroeleven There is a difference in religion and God. The religious person's goal is to worship God ...God is not the person who is worshipping he is the object of the worship. People aren't perfect but that doesn't mean they are always wrong either.

The study of God can be refining to some and confusion to others.

We can believe or not. But I can honestly admit that the main problem is that the rulers of governments have even the pastors twisting God on their behalf causing ppl to err.

  • @ColdGripHandle Yes and every christian has their own opinion. Yet they know for sure that 'god' is the answer to personal suffering.

  • @sandroeleven Your perception of God is through your observation of people.

Thats like a dog getting mad when a person chunks and hits him with a ball. The dog bites and beats up the ball but ignores the person who chunked it.

You can discern that every christian has their opinions and they know for sure that "god" is the answer to personal suffering. But can't seem to realize that people aren't God even tho u know they aren't .

  • @ColdGripHandle Well the question is, then who or what is god? That is what we dont get an answer for. You are telling me that my perception of of god is thru ppl. But at the same time, there is no actual god for me to observe. So I look at the know it alls and make conclusions about what they supposedly worship. I however dont get the xtian god.

  • @sandroeleven You have a serious point and the place where you are at with those questions you shouldn't leave until you get some answers. You are exactly right in my opinion I hit that same rock in the dirt when I ventured into the world of God.

I know you don't get it but at this point You should check out Exodus Chapter 3 and you will notice that Moses hit a spot too. And God didn't say anything until Moses turned aside to look and see

  • 'place where you are at with those questions you shouldn't leave until you get some answers'

True and I got answers about where the bible came from, who controlled it, why books like susanna and tobin are not in it, etc. I got my answers outside of the bible and have become freer for doing so. We can agree to disagree. i see no freedom in a book that calls a new born baby wretched.

  • @sandroeleven Yes we can agree to disagree. Actually what I meant was basically hold that thought and build from there. I guess it was too extreme or too deep. But if you had landed on it WOw I don't even have words for it. You would have felt like an invisible person roaming and cheating through life while others are trapped without answers and suffering because they don't know.

Where in scripture does it call a baby wretched? And where did the Bible come from?

  • @ColdGripHandle Well the bible tells us we are born in sin and god even commaded to kill babies in ps 137. Supposedly they say manuscripts were found and were believed to be real. They were then translated and a counsil (of nicea ) decided what would stay and what would go and this was distributed. I know i was vague but you get the gist.

  • @sandroeleven I read that but I didn't get that kind of interpretation. Maybe you did. The reason why I speak of God is that it all works for me. I don't have all the answers But I have used some of those scriptures in my darkest times and they worked real good. All I did was flat out copy so at times it makes me feel like I didn't deserve anything.
