I built a pallet building, also in kentucky...I used treated 4x4;s for the foundation, and 2x4s to join the pallets together...instead of sheeting (the building was meant to be cheap) i used slats from pallets i had taken apart, and filled in the cracks...then used free osb board to sheet the inside...the 20'x24' shed is awesome storage and workshop for under 500 dollars
Omg, this a great idea it would make a great chicken coop adding some wire mesh! thank u for sharing I just started picking pallets up too to build chicken coops we have 5 coops so far!
thats a brilliant idea, i'd never even thought of that, I'm about to build a granny flat, i could build it out of pallets and line it with gyprock and blue board, nobody would know
I know what you mean about how you see them when you look, Ive been just looking around for the past 1-2 years and seen enough to make 50-60 of these sheds.
good too ppl from Great state of Kentucky not getting a bad raps for a change.. im over here next too Ft.Knox .. been surfing Y.T.'s for ideals on what im looking to makes.. thanks for the info tid bits .. they will come in handys..
got me some pallets about to build a chicken coop.i was thinking of puting 2x4 10' green board in the ground and slide the pallets on it . good video =)
With that size do you need to have a side window or another exit to be code?

Nice.
Yeah, the way to raise walls is nail in the toe-up, assemble the wall on the ground and tip it up.
Funny to spring for a slab foundation and OSB sheathing but frame it with pallets.
Still, way to go.
HRRutz 2 months ago
@HRRutz The slab foundation was an old dog kennel on the property when I bought the house, so it was also free.
