I'm from California and I went to Shepherd, Texas 3 weeks ago to visit and was impressed with hospitality and spirit of Texans. It is a beautiful state. I'm appalled by Rick Perry's decision to kowtow to foreign corporations to build the Transnational Texas Corridor. Rick Perry is raping Texas by giving land to these corporations and forcing Texans to pay to travel in their own state!!

Texans, you have my support, in opposing this treachorous plan!!

anyway, watch this video - NbakN7SLdbk (add the rest of the youtube url in) - and around 2:15 he talks about pumping gas (sorry I said oil) back into the ground. They do this to repressurize the formation. Since gas either has to be piped to the end user or shipped as a liquid, it is more economical to use it for pressure control. The used to just flare off the gas if there was no market near the wellhead.
