We did this entire trip in kayaks, 6 hours of kayaking through waterfalls and dolphins within inches of you, most relaxing and life-changing moments of my life.
que mágico lugar me gustaría conocerlo, saludos y felicitaciones a los que han ido, la música igual esta bella me podrían decir como se llama la canción?
Hey nice vid! We were there a few weeks ago and it was almost cloudless and gorgeous in a totally different way. And that drive in was excellent, huh? We did it very slowly and wish we had a convertible!
went here on my gap year. breathtaking place. took the boat ride out to mouth where all the seals were. the only place that was equal to this for natural beauty was yangshuo in southern china. stayed at the hostel by the dockside where they had the electricity on a timer in the evening. played drinking monopoly in the dark til we passed out.
I really enjoyed my time at Milford Sound & I'm heading back again this year. But i have to say...i enjoyed the drive out to Milford Sound more than Milford Sound itself. I'm basing that on the fact it took us 5 hours to drive out stopping off to take photos everywhere en route to Milford Sound on a beautiful sunny morning. And by the time we got there it was pissing down!, thunder & lightning Hopefully this trip it's not.
same here. we hired camper vans and drove around the south island before goin north. camped next to lake taupo then drove to milford sound before goin back up to get the ferry from pickford to wellington. the best road trip of my life. ill be back again sometime in my life
Also worthwhile is taking a hire car and exploring some of the spots along the Milford road and Hollyford valley. - If the weather is fine, there's some truly astounding viewpoints that can be walked up to in just an hour or so.
Yes the bugs can be awful - especially for the uninitiated, but legend has it they're there so that not too many people will spoil the place.
Wow I didn't realise tourists adored Milford Sound this much! I guess Im just happy that my country's beautiful natural landscapes have been preserved and unscathed after all these years for everyone to enjoy! (=
im so exited! im going to Qeenstown in 2 days. So exited been on internet looking at video and pics all night! Im so obsessed. And so exited! Im already packed and everything I just cant wait! i have never left my state since I was ever born. Its a massive thing for me going to new country, and thankyou for this video. It makes me even more exited and inspired!
BTW im going to film there so check my account later and ill have footage of Qeenstown. Did I metion im so exited!
Tell me about it. I recently booked a fly/motorhome holiday to the south island. Ever since then i ,ve been on youtube looking at videos to get some idea, right into the wee hours of the morning. Cant wait.
got to milford sound and have to say it is stunning. the vastness of the place, the quietness and the beauty of it is amazing. will have to try and get back there someday.
seeing this clip just makes me wanna pack my bags and rush back to south island...
The amazing thing about NZ is, most tourist destination is a big plus for the already amazing on-road sceneries! You're already wowed x100 just looking outside the car window. I felt the road from Te Anau to Milford is one of the most beautiful drive ever, it's so untouched by humans. Thanks for sharing, really love this clip.
14 seconds into the video - I had to pull our campervan over because I was so overcome by the beauty of it. Mind you, I was pulling over all the time to get out and look at stuff - New Zealand was the most amazingly beautiful place to drive round I've ever been to. And yes - Milford Sound was stujnning.
Yea I agree, we just got back from NZ and Milford Sound was wonderful. We'd had 72 hours of continuous rain when we got there and the waterfalls were truly amazing. The guide said most dry up a few hours after the rain stops, so if you want waterfalls, it seems like you need plenty of rain. They get about 6 metres a year I am told.
We had the same gear--when we started--30 min in the sun came out, and the waterfalls disappeared, then reappeared when the rain came back. Perhaps the most stunning thing i have ever seen--rain is good.
