I do have issues with the iPad, but yours are non-starters. Mine... The display is not the true HD aspect ratio. There are no connections for external devices (USB) besides the 30-pin connection combined with a billion different adapters.

Multitasking is coming with iPhone OS 4.0. The processor is made specifically for the device, and much more powerful than anything in any android device. Flash is garbage. The transition to HTML 5 is underway. There are iPhone, iPod, AND iPad apps. Why would anyone want to try making a phone call on an iPad? The keyboard is on the screen! Everything would be great for less money, but for what it does, it's priced properly.

Hey Marcus the ipad you said is basically a huge ipod touch with the same apps, wrong the ipod touch isnt as powerful as the ipad the ipads ram was customized they called it A4 my point is that there not the same the ipad is much more powerful then an iphone or ipod and the apps are NOT the same i personally dont need an ipad and you don't either i see but the thing is that there are gonna be fields and places where it will be needed the potential in terms of apps is a huge gap from an ipod.

I have to agree with you on that. Though I think that it could possibly be worth it in later years when the price goes down and gets better upgrades. The thing I would use it for if I got one is later down the road for when I'm in college and can put all my text books on year after year for cheeper. (I'd probably just need a 16 GB only wifi model for that though)

Verizon has one of the best networks I've ever seen. I'm on Verizon, and yeah, they're a bit on the expensive side, but you're getting what you paid for! With Verizon, there's none of that wave-your-phone-around-the-roo­m-for-a-signal kind of bullshit you get from AT&T. Like marques said, AT&T can't even handle the iPhone -- especially in the bigger cities like NYC. With Verizon you almost ALWAYS have a signal.

my very first laptop 4 or 5 years ago came with 40gb of space and i filled it up in less than a year.

Your video was funny even though I don't agree with all your opinions on the iPad. The reasons why tablets have not been well received these many years is because you can't take a desktop-class OS and cram it into a less powerful device. you need to be intentional and forward thinking and design the os from the ground up with speed, efficiency and low power consumption in mind. That's why the iPad can outperform netbooks with far more processing power. I think apple made a brilliant move!

Does the iPad have all the features that I would like? of corse not. but i'm not sure if they could keep the starting price at $500. Because i believe 70% of the price is the screen. the multitouch and overall screen quality is not the same as the netbooks that are currently in circulation. so i don't think Apple had much room to play with with including more features. I'm not an apple apologist, but I think Apple made a step in the right direction.

2. iLife != iWork.

3. Why would you want to make phone calls on a tablet?

4. The size difference is the crux of what differentiates it. Your comparison is like calling an adult nothing more than a giant baby.

5. Most people want a cheap laptop to do web browsing and don't want to spend $999 or more. A $500 tablet is absolutely perfect for this target market.

It's a very awkward size for it's featureset. Which makes it difficult to figure out exactly what we want to use this for. Bigger than an iPod. Doesn't fit in your packet. But much worse and weaker than a normal netbook.
