  • it's it better for sentence on 2:06 to be "Densha DE norimashou. soshite, uchi ni ikimashou"??

  • what book are you using to teach us??? sounds like it is sooooo thorough ^^ 0__o

  • I like your humor so much!!! :P

  • At 1:14, shouldn't it be ''Hako-wa ake-mashoo'' as you used it earlier in this video?

  • What about second person imperative??

  • Hats off to Mr. Kiyooka, this is book is the best book for learning Japanese in the world.

  • my name is Kai -_-

  • been quoting "har har har" a lot now thanks to you ROFL

  • hahaha "the incredible edible exercises"

  • next chapter, please! all chapters!

  • Oh god, your sense of humor is strangely magnetic. Even if you don't become an animator, you'd make an excellent tutor. Except noone will be able to learn anything, they'll be too busy laughing. In retrospect, that's a clever way to take people's money w/o teaching them anything. Hmmm...

Are you a native Japanese speaker? It sounds a lot like it to my untrained ears.

  • I found this helpful because it's unusual. It sticks in my brain better that way.

  • YOU ROCKS :D thank youu!

  • so when you gonna make more videos?

cuz this is the newest 1 and its been up for 9 months

are you still making these videos?

cuz if your not you should start again your a rally good teacher and ive learned a lot from your videos

    happy apartment hunting!

  • I WANT MORE!!!

  • MORE YOU SHALL RECIEVE!

    It's just taking forevers.. :C

  • domo arigatou! watashi daisuki kimi! or is it anata-wa daisuki???lol (i think i totally said that wrong oh, well) thank you very much for doing these vids! happy apartment hunting!! good luck.

  • from the begging of your lesson you've explain japanese grammar in such away that it become easy ton understand. What an encouraging way to study japanese since nihongo is realy difficult ...you are amazing...

  • can you let us know if you dont plan on finishing these.

you diden't say you wouldent but I'd settle for up to lesson 25 come on it's a nice round number

  • i love how you have made learning japanese easier than it ususally is =] thanks a lot!

  • eye <3 U

  • MY EYEBALLS LOVE YOU TOO STRANGER! ;w;

  • Funny, I knew these phrases sounded familiar! Coincidentally, when I started learning Japanese a few years ago, the first book I ever studied from was Japanese in Thirty Hours -- I just picked it randomly off my public library shelf! Some of the phrases/excercises are silly (as you point out repeatedly :-), but it really helped cement the grammar in my brain. Good choice, and keep up the good work!

  • sugoi!

    good quality of voice!

    big help for me!

ill be a good japanese speaker!lol

    waiting for lesson22!

    TAKINEKO > UNIVERSE

  • First I want to say that I like what you do!!

But why the hell are you writing "wo" and not "o"??

You are not writing "ha" instead of "wa"

    aren't you??

  • b.c. old book is old. I'll probably explain that one later on tho.

  • I am not at this level yet, just seeing how many you had up. You are so funny, and it is truely refreshing from the monotone cd's I bought to help me learn. bleh. Thanks so much for uploding these!

  • Thanks, I can only take so much of those CDs

  • this is really good! although there are some things in the other lessons that i learned differently from books...

  • what is shiteru?

  • shi-te-ru.

It is the less formal way of saying shi-te-i-masu. She will get to that when she gets to around lesson 30 something.

  • Need.... more.... lessons..........

  • might take a while sorry, dont have my computer or books

  • Oh.....

  • Dang!

    Anata-no hon to kaputa-wa doko-ni ari-masu ka?

  • Tabemashita

  • You ate what?

  • How do you say "This is a very long and slightly complicated sentence that has no actual point except to make an amusing sentence when translated into other forms, and on a side note, chicken tastes like purple unicorns?"

These things wouldn't happen if you went ahead and made a few hundred more lessons. ^_^

  • why must it end so heavy?

P.S. the grammar is really plain to understand............shall I go on?

    we're all waiting

  • Hey, all these lessons are funny and interesting. I would like to know where you find them for me to try to get them for myself. I know you will take a time to show new lessons, but I'm very curious right now!

Mijail219 - Thats kinda creepy. xD

  • is 'kimono' the usual word when we want to say dress? I always thought it was only used with the meaning of traditional costume...

  • you could say Doresu, for dress.

  • THANK-YOU! FOR THIS!

  • I love hearing you, cant wait til next lesson. :D

  • densha is train..

p.s. if i made that mistake i'd be pretty embarrased. so if you are, i'm 18 and just watched (and enjoyed) the first episode of pokémon.

    hope i helped

  • yup

that's not a mistake, its what the book says, but the book is old.. and strange.

  • good lesson

  • These lessons ROCK MY FACE OFF!!!!!!

21 down and 29 more to go!!!

  • This book seems to use "hako" a lot... XDD

I learned that "norimasu" which is probably conjugated from either "noru" or "noriru" (I think it's the first) means "to ride". I thought that "nori" only referred to the fried seaweed that is oh-so delicious. :3

  • ima nani-wo shi-mashoo ka?

    Leave!

    haha, classic.

  • "I just realized I make really weird faces when I'm recording my voice.." Dont worry about it, hardly any one noticed the faces u made...

  • you're just trying to spare my fealings. I know you're all laughing at me.

  • Hey slow down im still only on number 6 :)

  • hehe, first they tell me to make more faster and now i gotta slow down?

  • The further ahead you get the more daunting it seems, but i guess you cant please everyone eh?

  • i hope when I have 50 lessons new people dont show up and get scared.
