but yeah... its only about as much work as dying regular hair, you just have to pay a little more attention so you dont miss huge spots i guess? but it kind of is a pain if you want to do it the "right" way. (I always tell people the right way, rather than MY way!)
cause ...I'm lazy too! so honestly if you dont mind being a dare devil just pour some on your hands, mush it around and hope for the best like I usually do haha

my personal advice is just this:
deepclean after bleaching with a weak solution
use a nutralizer before dying if your going for a bluish color, so it wont get all greeny
google "dying dreadlocks" and find the link that says "how to bleach or dye dreads - this site is +i" -- a couple months ago thats the one I used and it was crazy helpful (i'd link, but youtube is stupid)
also just keep the bleach/dyes on the surface of the dreads mostly

getting dye out of the middle of a dread is a huge pain in the butt
errrrm... I would probly recommend SpecialFX or Punky Color dye cause they last way(!) longer (and punky color even smells good, imo)
