  • Why isn't this ever on tv in my State? Oh Right Communist State

  • that sounds just great:)

  • Vote for Baldwin in 08

  • google FREE MORGIE

    FREE MORGIE

    FREE MORGIE

    FREE MORGIE

    He's no terrorist!

  • I am so pissed off about the banking scandal, and we have mostly the Democrats to blame for it. All the CEO's involved, and all the senators involved in bank oversight, such as that crooked Chris Dodd, sleazy Barney Frank, and phony Barack Obama carry lots of blame. I'm so over the Obama hype with his shakedown community activist thugs, ACORN. God help us if Obama gets in the White House. I would gladly vote for a Black American for president, but not that dissembling poser.

  • Dont take these comments the wrong way! What I was trying to say here is the usa becomes like the USSR and we lose all freedom then there should be rebellion. This likely will never happen and please don't do anything against any current govt people or people running for prez ! please obey all laws unless we lose right to vote and consitution is thrown out the window !

  • How many supreme court justices will be reappointed over the next 8 years. Is the 2nd ammendment in jeopardy ?

  • Justice Kennedy is 72 years old and he voted in favor of the 2nd amendment in Heller v. D.C.

    It was a 5-4 decision.

Yes, the 2nd amendment is in Jeopardy.

  • "Yes, the 2nd amendment is in Jeopardy."

Not really, because all the very old judges are "liberals".

That's why I say FREEDOM is in Jeopardy.

Obama is a strong 2nd amendment supporter, but even if he wasn't he won't be able to manipulate the court. On the other hand, McCain may have the opportunity to appoint 2 or 3 more judges from the extreme right...

    Just saying.

  • Obama has voted for every gun restriction bill that has hit the Senate floor. In his Congressional campaign in Illinois, he explicitly stated that he would support a handgun ban. He wants to reinstate the Clinton "assault rifle". He voted to close 90% of American gun stores, and he even voted to ban most types of hunting ammunition. How does this make Obama a strong @nd Amendment supporter

  • Ok, maybe "strong" was an exaggeration, but

Obama says he believes strongly that the 2nd amendment is an individual right. This is the platform that he runs on now.

  • Exactly, he's flip flopping to get votes. His true opinion, that which he will exercise as president, will be akin to his voting record in the Senate. Even if he doesn't support bans on handguns, hunting ammunition, and assault rifles (which he will), he will most definitely support high taxes an firearms and ammunition, so that you and I can't afford to shoot anymore.

  • It's just speculation and propaganda. The man runs for Presidency, two terms. He will have to keep his word if he wants to b reelected.

I'm not a single issue voter.

How about McCain? On tax cuts, regulation, bailout... politicians flip flop all the time.

    Welcome to the reality.

  • Just like Bush did, Right? I'm not a single issue voter either, but it upsets me more when an inherent natural right is threatened, than when governmental acts contrary to my socio-political beliefs.

  • Anyway, I just gave Obama the benefit of the doubt, but my point was that the Supreme Court may take only an extreme Right turn, further "liberalization" is statistically impossible ... so the 2nd amendment can't be "in Jeopardy"

  • That's stupid. If the liberal judges are the old ones then Obama will just nominate new, more liberal ones when they resign or kick the bucket. Justice Kennedy is always the swing vote, what happens when he gets replaced with a radical liberal? The court won't have another 2nd amendment case for a long time, they've set judicial precedent, they can't just vote to overturn their decision. Anyways, 2nd amendment restriction can also come in the form of high taxes, regional bans and CCW elimination

  • I'm more worried about rights and liberties and science education and separation of church and state that the U.S. will lose under a McCain/Palin theocracy.

The Supreme Court will maintain its nice equilibrium under Obama. May turn into the dark ages under McCain....

  • McCain is the least religious candidate out of the four.

Your ridiculous hyperbole is not convincing anyone.

Have you heard of the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District case?

It decided that Intelligent Design could NOT be taught in schools. The judge that made the decision?

    A Bush Appointee.

You are a victim of some extremely dishonest propaganda.

  • "McCain is the least religious candidate out of the four."

that's just ridiculous, the only unquestionable thing he did was embracing the social conservatives on the extreme Right. And there's the fundamentalist/creationist Sarah Palin waitin' in line.

    /watch?v=J-X4SxrEd6k

    /watch?v=3mSC5HZOGBs

    "Kitzmiller v. Dover Area SD"

Oh yea, the poor guy and his family have been guarded by the police and FBI since then (after receiving tons of death threats)

I'm sure Bushes won't do this mistake again.

  • Anyway, it looks like Obama wins by landslide tonight. We'll see whose fears were justified ...

  • With regards to above - I'm not advocating breaking any laws now, i'm only saying there should be revolution if we lose the right to vote and this becomes a total marxist state or communist state like ussr was. I think my above comments could be taken the wrong way. don't break any laws ! this is not the ussr and there is no evidence obama or anybody will bring us there !

  • I don't own a gun BUT I support you guys at the NRA, and strongly believe that if you "outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns".

  • "if you "outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns""

which means they're going to fucking prison for 10+ years even without committing any crimes (for possessing a gun illegally)

think about it a little ...

  • I always seem to forget the fact there is at least one yahoo who does not understand sarcasm, goober.

  • Back in the mid to late-1980s, I started paying attention to politics because of Joe Biden. His anti-US Constitution practices hardened my resolve and I finally registered to vote - as a Republican! I also joined NRA.

Of course, through the years, my interest with politics has widened. With that awakening, it all became clearly evident to me the danger that people like BHO and JRB represent to the freedoms that Americans enjoy.

Let us all be patriotic by casting Liberal-free votes!

  • woot

  • I'm pretty sure comrade was speaking facetiously.

At least I sure hope so. I'd hate to think otherwise.

  • Not only that Jennifer, but all kids will be required to chew snuff. They might also be required to drive gas guzzleing pickup trucks, and wear rebel flags.Next thing you know they will be bashing the skulls of innocent baby harp seals in Canada, burning crosses and banning Catcher in the Rye in schools.Damn gun lovers.

  • Always amusing to see gun lovers supporting religious wingnuts just to preserve precious, precious guns.

Following the road you are helping to pave, I'm sure kids someday will thank you gun lovers for paving the way for prayer and creationism in schools.

  • Creationism can not be taught in schools. It would be unconstitutional to do so. Edwards v. Aguillard specifically prohibits that mandate.

In any event, John McCain is far from a religious wingnut.

What's embarrassing is the fact that you repeat lies about the positions of McCain/Palin.

  • "John McCain is far from a religious wingnut"

what you can't say about Sarah Palin..., and she's fucking stupid too. Even the superconservative National Review wants her to resign with some made up pretext (which IMO would be a very good idea)

  • Kathleen Parker is entitled to her opinion.

It wasn't an editorial position of the national review.

Why do progressives feel the need to exaggerate and distort in order to make a point?

Have you watched Joe Biden lately? He is an embarrassment.

  • "It wasn't an editorial position"

Read KATHRYN J.LOPEZ, she almost agrees

    "exaggerate and distort"

IMO,VP of a 72 y/o in a superpower is an important position, intelligence and knowledge is required

"Have you watched Joe Biden lately?"

It sounds like a new, ridiculous talking point. Like Obama is a muslim and elitist, etc.

Pls send me some links if you have something to show me.

Cause Biden is a heavyweight foreign policy expert (just like McCain, BTW, despite his gaffes)

So good luck with it ...

  • "Kathleen Parker is entitled to her opinion.

It wasn't an editorial position of the national review."

Jst one more thing. It's hard to imagine or expect them to throw her under the bus from an editorial position one month before the elections (would be stupid on many levels) But if you read articles in a row which say that there's something wrong with her and she's unqualified,I think it's fair to say that thoughtful conservatives are very, very concerned and don't really approve of the choice.

  • It's not about guns, it's about the basic individual right to defend yourself. If you're denied firearms, you're denied the capacity to defend yourself, unless you wish to rely completely on the police to defend you (keep in mind that it takes time for the police to arrive and that there have been many instances of the police abusing their authority).

  • I don't want religion ( christian/buddism/islam etc ) to be taught in schools, but I also don't want kids being paid by the govt for "Volunteerism", to me Volunteerism very similar to a religion. That is the one thing I dislike about Obama more than anything - somehow that he thinks the government should get involved in paying kids to join such groups as "Public Allies". Government has no business promoting ideological ideas such as "volunteerism". I believe in the philosophy of Ayn Rand.
