Hard to believe the ubiquitous VW microbus is now a rare sight. They were like mushrooms after a heavy rain less than 20 years ago. Ditto the old Beetles.
The van barely ran and had to be towed to the race. Jay no longer had a free place to store it. Plus, I hated that thing for the annoying Highway 17 penalty. It deserved to die. Though we could have used the engine.
