Heh, there are also laser based tracking methods you can use. If you use more than one laser or a set of mirrors you can actually track the distance of an object and then calculate the angle of elevation that will compensate for the lob.

Sentry guns have been built by the U.S. army and by the South Korean border defense, but only in VERY large scale defense positions. These sentries stand around 15 feet tall, and are used for missile disarmament and border defense. Congrats for making a working example.

But then, the sentry gun would need a goddamn optical lens or the ID had to be very visible, but there enter a lot of consequences, like the ID could have been stolen and the personnel got shot down by accident and such... I guess things like these only works on games and movies, like MGS...

yeah, it's an airsoft gun. infact, i myself have an airsoft version of the FN-P90 which was being used - thankfully, over in the UK we don't need to have the lame orrange plastic flash hiders on our airsoft guns.

nice work on the sentry gun, i'm assuming it can't tell the difference between a moving object, and a person, also there's no way to detect freind/foe. i think a better application might be to have it as a remotely manned weapon.
