Yup! Most of the bins/tubs/crates in this vid (if not all) were distributed by WM...back when we still had to sort everything it was light green for metal, dark green for plastics, and yellow for glass...paper/cardboard had to be tied and put under the bins...now we just have to keep glass separate and the rest all gets mixed together!
Yup! They have 2 of them...though one of them has been down for the last few weeks, and they've been using a Wittke MSL and a Maxon MSL on that recycle route instead!
I spent 6 hours on Monday and 8 hours on Tuesday trying to find it...I found it on Monday, but he had just finished his last stop in that area, and the weather was starting to get dangerous, so I had to quit and go home, and on Tuesday I didn't find him at all...Today, I went to another city that's connected to my city and filmed a local company's Pete 320/Heil DuraPack 7000...I will have that series up later today! I will find the Maxon next time I have a day off school, which is in January!
We used to have those exact trucks here. Same year and everything, but we went ASL, too bad. It's real nice to still see these trucks in use. There just isn't anything like a non compacting recycler.
Back when I first moved here, this truck used to flip lids all the time, but it's getting old, it's a '95 body, so it's been in the shop alot lately...
I asked the driver if they were gonna go ASL, but he told me that the recycling center wants all of the glass kept separate from everything else, so we'll be sticking with tubs and some sort of manual split truck for at least a while...
Yeah...Here we only have carts for mixed paper at the schools...Residents get three tubs: 2 for paper/cardboard/plastic/metal and 1 for glass...until 2 months ago, we had five stream recycling, we used to get a tub for glass, a tub for plastic, and a tub for metal, and paper/cardboard had to be bundled and put under the tubs...The truck had five compartments: 1st for plastic/colored glass, 2nd for metal, 3rd for clear glass, 4th for brown glass, and the last one for paper/cardboard...
Yeah...that first stop with the two carts was a mixed paper recycling stop at an elementary school...the often have big pieces of crumbled decorating paper stuffed in there that gets stuck, so he was making sure there wasn't anything like that still in there...
wish they still used those awsome burgundy and white trucks :)

I've never really seen yellow recycle tubs (I have seen crates, though) before... Are those distributed by WM?

Do all of the yellow tubs read GLASS on them? Or do some of them sport the WM logo?
90skindaguy 3 years ago
They all read GLASS
