You know, even though my heart will always lay with the Longsword and the Messer, I've seriously been contemplating having a nice little 'affair' with the halberd, just because it looks so very...interesting.

Ce genre de combat fait intervenir des personnes sans la volonté de tuer (le coup d'estoc est quasiment absent) la force physique n'est pas prise en compte ni la capacité à parer réellement. Aucune férocité.

vrai, par contre il fait intervenir la possibilité de pratiquer, car avec ce genre d'arme, on ne pourrait qu'essayer une fois, puisqu'en utilisant la pleine force, on tuerait innévitablement son partenaire ... à toi de voir ce qui est le plus souhaitable ... moi j'ai fais mon choix (PS: gars à droite dans le video)

No its not from Germany, its my school in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The occidental medieval sword fighting is very popular here.
This weapon is a polearm, just like the halbard.

but have you ever seen any wood sword fights where the two sides are REALLY going at it??
broken noses, fingers, toes, bruises...etc??
i had a massive war when i was in jr. high.
ours was as real as it could get.
just wish to have a war like the intensity like it was then. :(
