He forgot that C stands for Conservative...And if he has enough time to be writing poems that are so infantile that a 5 year old would scoff, why isn't he using that time to try to come up with solutions to some of our country's problems?
The song he pulled this from can be said to symbolize the state of politics in our nation. It's one big pool game, and no matter what they be called, gentlemen (Democrats) or bums (Republicans), they are still just pool players.
We now have a political class in this country. If you're disillusioned enough to think socialism is the right way for us to go, especially with the bureaucracy we already have in place..you should read more. Red vs. Blue is a tired facade, don't get caught up in it.
OK clearly people are thinking he's trying to make a kindergarten rhyme. It's actually a parody of a song from the Broadway musical "The Music Man." Just to clear things up...
I really think that they should have just brought the cast of "The Music Man" movie and just had Matt Brodrick sing that for the congress. I'm sure it would have been much more sucessful a speech then seeing some random Congressman from California try and sing. That really sucked.
Leave it to a Republican to assume that intelligent political discourse is found in citing a song about moral outrage from a 50 year old movie. Although...striking unfounded fear in the hearts of the population with a distraction, so that you can in fact achieve your own ambitions and ends...that does sound like the modus operandi of the Republilcan party. So maybe it was a good reference for him.
Lungren has actually made some of the most common-sense statements on the House Floor and introducted some of the most common-sense legislation. What kind of kool-aid are you drinking?
this guy ran for governor of california and was soundly beaten. He is to the right of adolf Hitler. He's wealthy and doesn't give a hoot about anybody but himself and his crowd.

Does he think he's funny?
Are there other representatives like him, wasting time in the House by spewing stupid banal rhymes instead of solving our nation's problems?

No, they spend their time arguing over things like steroids in sports and whether or not to officially commemorate the life of Michael Jackson.

Right, we're broke because of the democrats.
8 years of the Bush administration's shady economic dealings have nothing to do with our current situation.
Run that song and dance some where else,

Maybe 8 years of the Bush Administration didn't help us financially, but the Democrats are sure not making things better as they promised.
