I'm buying a Guqin this winter but I can't find any resources on how to learn the damn thing! Any help would be appreciated, please pm me if you know of any. Thanks
He is such a great player. After listening to his live performance, I was curious why he played this piece in such a plain manner rather than with his emotions (ips + downs). He explained to me that he played this peice for his students - so that they can learn it in a more easy way. He is a very humble scholar and great guqin payer. Somehwat I personal feel he superbs his father's achievement!
Technique is good but a bit lack of feelings. I agree - teh dancing gal does not fit into the picture. Besides, the guqin he uses in this song has quite heavy metallic sound.

Who is this qin player? Wingplum mentioned "Mr. Wu," but is there more to his name that would help me find more of his performances?

His name is Wu Wenguang. I recommend his DVD ' Selected Guqin Pieces by Wu Wengang', a 2dvd set.
