  • Aretha N° 1....................................

  • i just love this

  • Love this song and this performance!! God bless the Queen of Soul!

  • wow what a piano player

  • Nobody can give a song the life that the Queen gives it. I love this thanks for posting this gem.

  • GOOD VERY GOOD!!!! THANKS

    MR. PAULO ROBERTO NIZZO

  • Many have tried, but there is NO ONE who can sing this song like Aretha, a true sanga, not singer..

  • Aretha is more then a singer...she is a minister of song. She ministers to the soul of the listener and people who don't understand that keep trying to compare her to people which much, much, less talent. Aretha is a rare find and you can't put a diamond in the same category with a bunch of rocks because it's gonna standout everytime. Some people try to reduce her to just another singer but you will never be successful at it because her body of work is too strong and impressive. One of a kind.

  • She could read the dictionary and have more soul than any performer from the last 20 years

  • A transcendent performance...

  • still has that extra touch only .0001% have. very rare

  • fab

  • An eternal gifted queen that will sing in Heaven's Choir. thank you Lord for this amazing Lady.

  • Touches the parts other singers can't reach. SIMPLES.

  • This doesn't have the precision or brilliance of her '70's version (also posted by arethafan2006) and yet it is still better than anything by anyone else. There is no one else even remotely close, and her piano playing is also divine. Thank God for Aretha!

  • arethafan2006 Respectfully, a _true_ "arethafan" would be celebrating this big, beautiful woman in that "out of this world" dress, rather than criticising her. AR has a personality that is a big as her voice, and she is not willing to 'tone it down' or compromise on who she is. She never has. Which is probably one of the reasons she's where she's at. Keep wearing those big, flouncy dresses that are cut to help showcase your beauty, Miss Re! Sending mad love your way. <3

  • this woman flat out rocks ... she has the right to wear whatever she wants. she's a diva and is gorgeous ALWAYS ... don't like it, shut yer eyes and listen, dangit!

  • The queen!!!!!!!

  • critiken pro me encanta

  • Her tone was on the border of screamy during this period, but I love it!

  • Aretha and her rendition of this tune are simply beautiful and profound---including the revealing dress! She is a real woman, curvacious, secure, and confident enough, within her own being, to show it. Thank God for her just as she is (or, in this case, was), and for the blessed gift of her music, her courage, her transparency in sharing her faith, and the beautiful light which flows from her. "Bless the Lord at all times; May His praise be ever on your lips". I bless the Lord for this gift!

  • @stjohntheconqueror this is pat porter keeping it real and i second that motion to what you just said yes she is all that and god realy has bless her and she has been a bless to us also

  • magnifico.

  • Cuando pierdo mi norte musical, lo vuelvo a encontrar en ti Aretha, reina del Soul.."Como un puente sobre aguas turbulentas, Yo me desplegaré. Aliviaré tu mente, Aliviaré tu mente. Navega, Ha comenzado a brillar tu estrella. Yo navego tras de ti"

  • Forever will be the Queen of SOUL.

  • Paul Simon and Peter Garfunfel acknowledged that Aretha did a superior job on the song and were grateful because they made more money on the Aretha version than on their version. Go girl.

  • People who like R&B music are biased. Aretha's version is great and AlecPgc acknowledged that; however, for some people hearing all of the lyrics clearly with a simple continuity translates the song for them, as in Garfunkel/Simon's simple interpretation w/angelic-like voices. I prefer Aretha's interpretation, but I really like the original because I can hear all of the words clearly & simply, which gives it a different impact, as some of the words are lost in her version, which is all he said.

  • I could listen to both versions back to back. Garfunkel and Aretha both sing like angels. Why compare genius talents?

  • Some of you seem to be missing the fact that she is also playing the piano in this song, which is simply amazing when you listen to the intensity of her singing. She is simply amazing.

  • She ain't just singin', she's talkin' to ya, she's tellin' a story. I love it.

  • I like this version but i must say i agree with AlecPgc. Simon's fragile voice suits it best for me. Aretha Franklin is still amazing though!

  • Aretha has the definitive version.......Period it took Aretha to give it true meaning ..cases closed

  • There are so many artisit's who do this great song....BUT..THIS version illustrates why ARETHA truly IS the Queen of soul...and this from a 63 year old whiteboy! lol

  • Aretha is amazing...point..blank...period!

  • Hands down, Aretha is the queen of gospel and soul period. When I visited my first Black American Baptist Church in Kentucky, I was in speechless on the way black people sing. They come bless straight from heaven no doubt. My comment is not in discrimination of white people singing, cause they stand out as well. But in terms of gospel and soul, Blacks own the show, God bless them, and God bless America.

  • she looks and sounds beautiful

  • hehë_ÁNy0ÑÈ_wÁNÑÁ_chåt_with_mË_I_fÊÈl_sØ_lÔNÊlý_tôÐàý!

  • haha i love black people, they take a song, throw it in the pot stir it around add some this and that kick the stove a few times and make it their own-love the original and Love this too

  • Aretha sing this song better than anyone, make you want go yo church...

  • Cessez les comparaisons incessantes et stériles.

Chaque reprise est une nouvelle pierre apportée à l'édification d'une Sagrada Familia ... toujours en travaux ... pour un jour atteindre la perfection. ...un jour !?!

  • Thank you!

  • Aretha is the Queen. Her's is the most moving version of a great song!

  • 1997?

  • Art Garfunkel sang Bridge Over Troubled Water, not Paul Simon...

  • Paul Simon said when he heard Aretha sing this song, he had never heard it sung better.

    Enough said.

  • i like it but nothing compared to paul and simon. The song is so fragile how simon sings it but still it explains about how a man would lay himself down for the one he loves. Aretha sings it very well but so many words get lost in this version.

  • @AlecPgc I totally disagree with everything you said. I dont want someone fragile being my bridge over troubled water. I want someone who is strong and confident and i think Aretha's interpretation shows that.

  • @AlecPgc Doesn't anyone like the Elvis version?

  • @AlecPgc For the reccord, this is also my favorite version.

  • @AlecPgc it was not supposed to compare to "paul and simon" which i hope refers to simon and garfunkel. it was supposed to compare to aretha, since it is HER recording. i getthe feeling that you need to pull your head out of your ass and grow up.

  • @AlecPgc Paul Simon didn't sing-- it is Art Garfunkel's angelic voice that you remember.

  • @AlecPgc People who like R&B music are biased. Aretha's version is great and you acknowledged that; however, for some people hearing all of the lyrics clearly with a simple continuity translates the song for them, as in Garfunkel/Simon's simple interpretation w/angelic-like voices. I prefer Aretha's interpretation, but I really like the original because I can hear all of the words clearly & simply, which gives it a different impact, as some of the words are lost in her version. I get it.

  • @classanddignity You saying that people that sing R&B can't enunciate? I heard every word Aretha sang in this song and she didnt have to sing straight and boring for me to do so. I really dont think Garfunkel and Simon interpreted the song at all because that fragile delivery goes against the lyrics of being someone's bridge over troubled water. Would you walk over a fragile bridge? I respect you preferring their version but dont label R&B fans as being biased just because we think different

  • @arethafan2006 Those are your words; not mine. In Aretha’s version, she breaks up the song & leaves some of the words out. She also does not go straight through the song for there is an interlude of music & background vocals. Then she extends the lyrics. Collectively, some may miss the interpretation & words. Yet, his version is the opposite of hers, softer but impactful, as she is loud & impactful. Those who are R&B listeners tend to be biased for if it’s not LOUD it’s less; not necessarily.

  • @arethafan2006 I prefer HERS, but his is respectable too for two different reasons. I get what alecpg was saying. Alecpg praised hers, but preferred Simon/Garfunkel due to the following of the words. Everyone jumped on Alecpg becaaue he thinks differently & he did not criticize her version. I appreciate all types of music, so I am not so biased.

  • @classanddignity i respected his comment but i have a right to disagree with it and i did. And not like S & G version better doesn't mean we are not open minded enough to enjoy other types of music. You call us biased but arent you being the same way for liking it softer. I am sure there are plenty of S&G version of this song on youtube so why come to comment on a version that is not your favorite. Leave this version to the "biased" R&B listeners who are not used to enunciation.

  • @arethafan2006 I said biased, not that you prefer hers over his, that’s preference; but because everyone attacked Alecpg when there was some truth, yet he praised hers. It was taken as a criticism when it was not necessarily. I like hers better for the anointment in her voice & music, even though I did not follow all the words cohesively at first.Become unbiased & you will be able to see another side even if it may not be your feeling necessarily. I may like hers more but I'm still objective.

  • @classanddignity I understand what you are saying i just totally disagree with it. i guess when someone disagree with you they are biased. You truly learn something new everyday. Well carry on because i am done with this discussion which is going in circles.

  • @arethafan2006 Of course I do not think that just because someone disagrees with me that they are biased. However, just for future reference listen to S&G version all the way through to see his/her point of view. Anyhow, thanks for posting this great work. I'll add it to my favorites. Take Care.

  • I LIKE THIS SONG VERY MUCH.

PLEASE CHECK MY COVER OF BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER.

    THANKS.

  • I am using the term "Bad" as a figure of speech indicating her gift of playing the piano is awesome. Yes I do play the piano and can recognize great music when I hear it!

  • Aretha is bad on the piano, but OMG the background vocals........

  • @juni601 Bad at piano???? Do you play? Because that's just f*cking wrong, man.

  • @juni601 Bad on the piano??? Hear ye, hear ye all people! There's a novice in town. Then again, if your bad means "Bad-ass good" then you're right on the money.

  • This is a nice version, but to get the full impact, please try and find her live at the fillmore west with the late great Billy preston playing B-3.

  • I think I cry every time I hear this song.

  • Aretha is playing the piano so nice. Do you hear the keys?

  • Aretha at her finest. Sheer beauty and finess. Vocally at her peak. I am a 42 year fan and I never grow tired of Miss Aretha Franklin.

  • "see how they shine..."

  • Nothing can touch Aretha and a choir

  • 22 peeps don't have a bridge.

  • Everyone pray for Aretha Franlkin, she had surgery for ancreatic cancer. I know Vanessa Bell Armstrong is going to be shaken by this. She is one of her favorite singers.

  • yes she owns it, amen

  • wonderful performance. thanks for posting it.

  • One word, 'SOUL'.

  • I once heard an interview where some folks were complaining about how Aretha sounded 'offkey' and that she would pitch shift.

It was then explained that this was because Aretha refused to use what the industry calls 'The Box'. An auto toner.

In other words (and those in the interview surmised this), people are so 'tone deaf' from years of 'perfect pitch' in electronically balanced music that a natural sounding singer baffles their minds.

    Crazy, eh?

  • Ain't no anorexic whining wannabe singers can touch the Queen.

  • Aretha looks exceedingly beautiful here And she's singing one of my favorite songs:) Nice:)

  • that unmistakable voice! My God... What a queen.

  • Paul Simon wrote it, Simon and Garfunkel sung it BUT ARETHA OWN'S IT

  • @rharule I think S&G version is more faithful to the spirit but Aretha's voice is of course great.

  • @noidelaplatja I disagree with that. They were too calm for a song called Bridge over troubled water. Now if it was a song called Bridge over calm waters then it would have been great for them. I think aretha interpretation of this song was perfect. This song needs to be sang calm and with some great intensity and range that S&G didnt have.

  • @arethafan2006 Well, I was mentioning that according to the musical texture of the song, the chord progression. According to the lyrics you may be right. Tks for your comment

  • @noidelaplatja Forgive me for jumping in on the end of the conversation.

  • @rharule Thank you

  • @rharule GOD WAS IN YOU WHEN YOU WROTE THIS

  • ARETHA IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its sad that many dont know who chuck berry is anymore because of the passage of time.. they keep elvis alive but there is a valley of kings.lets keep the memory alive of these inovators and pioneers who created the rock and roll sound... not buddy holly, but chuck berry, little richard, howlin wolf and muddy waters.. johnny cash ;louie armstrong; bo diddley..hats off to elvis for his courage and love for black music his quote" rock and roll is nothing but R&B music" -1968 comeback special....

  • @slinney1 the only reason I know chuck berry is from the movie Cadillac Records, of which I only watched because Beyonce was in it LMAO

  • This is Matchless!!!!

  • bradrhuskers has been blocked. This is an aretha franklin video so he can take the elvis talk someplace else.

  • @arethafan2006 Thank you so much for doing that!!!!!!

  • @arethafan2006 thank you!

  • Miss Aretha Franklin - THIS version always makes me cry!

  • Perhaps my favorite video of Aretha singing such a powerful and meaningful song. Thanks for posting. Thanks Aretha.

  • go Aretha!

  • LISTEN UP, only a sick sick racist wouldnt want ray charles or elvis presley to interpret their lyrics. when Bob Dylan heard elvis' version of "tomorrow is a long time" he was deeply touched by it, Kris Kristofferson who wrote "for the good times" said that he was honored and moved by elvis' amazing interpretation of his lyrics. ONLY racists with deep emotional problems would have a problem with ray charles or elvis presley doing their song.

  • @bradrhuskers you writing seems to have change, you are starting to add ray into your comments alot more, is it possible you now like the music of RAYover EL. what would your friends thank.

  • @teamsterification ive always loved ray charles, because he and elvis had soul, they both could wrap their magic around a lyric like no other.

  • every so often, a sick racist liar comes on here and says that elvis stole hound dog from big mama thorton, REALLY? OOPS, hound dog was written by two jewish white boys from new york!

THEN, another sick racist black person says that elvis had no soul? really? so we watch elvis sing "shake rattle and roll", with amazing soul and fury, THEN, we watch bill monroe do the same song, and it sucks, its lame.

ELVIS presley blows away any black singer, its not even close!

  • @bradrhuskers u say no one cares? its apperent you do. i never said elvis stole hound dog from mama thornton, you did. also i think the only racist person on here is yourself. you assume just because someone likes a black female singer over elvis, they must be a racist, they most be none white? now who is the foolish racist moron. you are easy!!! debate about elvis anyday of the week, but your not of my caliber, go away little man!!!!

  • @teamsterification you said that elvis stole from blacks, and now you want to deny it? you are a very ignorant fool, you sound like a fool from your own words, only a racist sick fool would say that elvis presley stole, , dont come back here until you get an education, you sick racist.

  • @bradrhuskers is there no limit to your stupidity? go away little man.

  • @bradrhuskers i never said he stole from blacks you did, but i wont deny it now that you brought it up.any thing else stupid?

  • @bradrhuskers Um, actually, no he doesn't. Elvis Presley does not even honestly have that great of a voice, he just had stage presence. He did not have any actual talent, just like Robert Pattinson. The women fell for him, not his music, nor his "talent" and to say that he blows and black singer away is preposterous. If you think he is the greatest fine. then say he beats anyone. Not just target the black community. I am white. And I know plenty of black people that have better voices than Elvis

  • @greenbeny48 Um, doesnt even have that great of a voice", thats a matter of opinion, and it seems that your opinion is a ignorant one. ALL someone has to do is just listen to elvis "the artist:" at work in the studio, arranging sessions during the 1960's, and you quickly discover what an amazing talent he truly was.

when one listens to critically acclaimed records such as "Its now or never", we clearly hear an amazing voice, a sweet and effortless voice,

  • @greenbeny48 in fact, blacks or whites WISH they could make critically acclaimed music in 6 different genres of music. SEE, when I debate an idiot like you, its funny to see just how stupid you really are. a fool like you calls elvis just a performer, WHEN IN REALITY, his amazing critically acclaimed body of work, makes him an artist with few peers, BUT, you are too stupid to know this. and, thats a shame for you, I pity you.

  • @greenbeny48 when you try to say that elvis just had stage presence, I LAUGH at your stupidity, educated people realize that elvis presley has a "body of work" that is critically acclaimed in 6 different styles of music. WHICH puts him in a class with few peers. in the studio, an artist like elvis actually arranged most of his gospel sessions during the 1960's, and these recording sessions produced critically acclaimed works. during this period, his voice was smooth as silk,

  • @bradrhuskers It isn't even worth it. This is why they make so many different types of music, because not everyone will like everything. Have a nice life.

  • @greenbeny48 FINALLY, it appears that greenberry is an ignorant person, UNTIL you get educated, I cannot continue this discussion, your stupidity makes me pity you, stop being a fool., a clown. when an artist produces critically acclaimed records in 6 different styles of music, he is amazing. to say the least.

if you decide to educate yourself, then, you wont be a laughable clueless moron.

  • @bradrhuskers arent you afraid one of your friends might find out how much time you spend listening to aretha? just enjoy the music, start the song again i know you like it. you really need to stop writing, your IQ seems to be of an 8 year old. start the song over and turn it up loud!!!!

  • @teamsterification a few posts ago, you did say that elvis stole from others, this shows me how retarded you are, anyone who understands music, realizes that elvis presley, ella fitzgerald, frank sinatra, ray charles and other artists, didnt steal a damm thing, they were just simply great! these artists I just mentioned, are in a class by themselves, for their ability to interpret lyrics with great passion and emotion,

  • @bradrhuskers yes i did, but you tried to put your words in to make it look like a racist comment, i didnt say he stole from blacks, those were your words not mine. elevis wasnt prejudist he didnt care what color you were, if he like your song he was going to take it and take all the credit, he gave no respect are credit to the artist.

  • @teamsterification Do you enjoy lying so much? cause you did it again! I have over 45 live shows of elvis presley, and he LOVED giving credit to the songwriter! when he did "something", he introduced it, "from the beatles songbook, ladies and gentlemen", when he sang 'sweet caroline", he said "theres a beautiful song by Neil Diamond, that I'd like to do for you now",

or, "B J Thomas has out a beautiful new song, I'd like to do it for you now", plus countless other credits, ur dumb

  • @bradrhuskers i dont have 45 live shows of elvis, but the few that i do have he does not , you need to post the ones that he does so i can stand corrected

  • @teamsterification when I told yolu that I have researched and studied his music for 25 years, I wasnt kidding, and I have zero tolerance for liars, right here on youtube, you can look up, elvis on stage feb 1970, or live at the international1969, where he says, "from the beatles songbook" or, therres a beautiful song from a guy named neil diamond", elvis often cited roy orbison and others whom he loved. REMEMBER, its you who needs to educate yourself on the greatness of elvis,

  • @bradrhuskers i dont waste my time educating myself on things that do not interst me. they mind is a muscle, you have to exercise it, are it will turn to flab like any other muscle, i belive it is to late for you .your stuck on stupid!!!!!

  • @teamsterification well you should change that, for instance, I am not a Prince fan, BUT, because I am educated in music, I know how great he is.

just because I am not a fan, doesnt mean that prince is not great, he is.

anyway, I guess we just agree to dis-agree.

  • @teamsterification ignorance doesnt excuse you, elvis presley grew up listenning to black blues, white country and western, and gospel music, and guess what?

when you mix ALL three of those styles, you get rockabilly or rock n' roll!!

im trying to educate you, so you can be smart like me!! can I get a woop woop!!

  • @bradrhuskers i belive im in the wrong class, i have no interst in elvis, nor did i want a degree in elvisology.

  • @teamsterification when a songwriter puts down lyrics to paper, its just a poem, it doesnt come to life until the genius of ray charles or ella fitzgerald or elvis presley wraps their unique soul around those lyrics, and turns them into something really special, with passion soul and emotion. AND, a songwriter loves to have their lyrics re-interpreted in more than one way, its the ultimate honor, and music is enriched for it, BUT, I dont expect a moron like you to understand that.

  • @bradrhuskers not true some artist does not want there music translated by other artist, they had no choice. writes were owned by record lables, managers and so on.

  • @teamsterification LISTEN UP, and listen good, when ray charles did his versions of white country songs, the writers and anyone who loves music, LOVED IT! same thing with elvis presley, when paul simon, the writer of "bridge over troubled water" heard elvis' version of it, he was deeeply touched, and he said so publically.

only a very sick racist wouldnt want elvis presley interpreting their lyrics

  • @teamsterification when ray charles and elvis presley re-interpreted lyrics from songwriters they were deeply moved, and said so publically. ONLY a sick racist full of hate wouldnt want elvis or ray to do their lyrics.

when Neil Diamond heard elvis do his song, he absolutely was moved by it, he said so, when Kris kristofferson heard elvis do "for the good times" and "help me make it through the night", he said it touched him deeply.

  • @bradrhuskers dont just talk about it, back it up.

  • @bradrhuskers ray hated elvis

  • @teamsterification wow, you must be a serial liar!!! the only people who hate elvis presley are weird sick racists full of hate. period.

ALL the biggest legends in music, love elvis presley, paul mccartney, john lennon, bob dylan, bruce springsteen, james brown, little richard, jimmy page, robert plant, paul simon, johnny cash, roy orbison, kris kristofferson, faith hill, dolly parton, shania twain, and the list goes on and on and on, because to real big names, elvis presley is king

  • @bradrhuskers i just seen little richard on you tube, i need to find it so you can see it, he claims to be the king of rock&roll, you got to admit he help and was a victim of elvis.

  • @teamsterification Little richard was great too, he actually loves elvis, the reason he doesnt get the title of "KING" has nothing to do with skin color, it has to do with the sheer size of elvis' body of work, its massive, and its critically acclaimed,

BUT, Little richard is defineately one of the pioneers of rock n roll, along with chuck berry, buddy holly, johnny cash, and all the other greats, BUT, elvis gets the "KING" title based on the sheer massive body of work in the studio.

  • @bradrhuskers johnny could not make it as a rock and roll singer, that is what he wanted. but his fan base was mostly gospel in the early years, he made it into to country music and that is as far as he was going to go. and that is as far as he needed to go, another great writer an preformer.

  • @bradrhuskers Thank you for that reply so true and as a black man Elvis got a bad reputation for singing black music and hell they do it today and last month they listed the top four selling artist ever

    Michael

    Elvis

    Beattles

    barbra

  • @greenbeny48 the only reason why he keeps comming back here is to listen to aretha sing. he knows what you say is true and it hurts him, he knows for a fact that elvis didnt have anything but looks. our may b his taste in music is really that shallow. what ever the case may b, if you read what he is writing, it is easy to see how stupid this guy really is. i bet he makes his family proud!!!!

  • @teamsterification actually, reading your idiotic comments makes me think that you are a borderline retard.

  • no one can belt out a note like the queen!!! a true american icon and tresure. she respects the writers, and puts her own style to this great song. no one can even come close.

  • fuck that cocksucker...the queen sings like a bird

  • this is my life over come jah!!!!!!

  • simon and Gar funkel rules

  • I cant believe people have the time to get into discussions on youtube. wow. these posts are funny!

  • dont misunderstand me, Aretha is awesome, she can belt out a song in amazing style, ALL im saying is, she wasnt born with a beautiful tone or resonance, if you will, NOW, THAT BEING SAID, one singer comes to mind for both soul and beautiful rich tone, the KING, Elvis Presley! in the 1950's, he screams on "jailhouse rock" and "hound dog", then, on his gospel classics, he has a sweet beautiful baritone and falsetto, that is pure sublime.

  • @bradrhuskers That is bullshit. Aretha was born with a beautiful voice there are records and performance that prove that. And has great resonance. Elvis is not a soul singer and he isn't on Aretha's level.

  • she lacks beautiful tone, which is why she screams a lot, when singers dont have great tonal quality, they tend to scream to hide it, A great example of beautiful tone, is Karen Carpenter, she was born with the most beautiful tone of all time, a creamy smooth voice as pure as honey, aretha WAS NOT blessed with a pure beautiful tone, so she screams a lot, and her phrasing is really bad. for me, she is over rated, too much screaming to hide her thin and not so beautiful voice.

  • @bradrhuskers You are crazy.

  • @bradrhuskers cdnt hv sait it betta myself

  • @chesneysimon She the fuck up!

  • @TheQueenAretha hahahahahahah u really cnt help urself, someone dnt agree with something about aretha dn bam thats ignorance. keep doing what you do best, you actually mke me laugh

  • @chesneysimon Bitch FUCK YOU! You are fucking pathetic, i mean what the hell are you doing here, besides being an ass.

  • @TheQueenAretha omg u called me a bitch and said fuck you, well thats me told innit. you see my mother raised me right so i have no reason to insult you and plus its quite petty and childish also a lil cowardly to do so in a public forum so ima let you keep on cos u obviousli like tlking to me and i find it quite entertaining...keep up the good work

  • @chesneysimon Flake off!

  • @bradrhuskers You don't know shit about Aretha. Aretha doesn't scream, she sings. You don't know shit about her. If you did you wouldn't say that shit. I suggest you go back to when she was young and have her prove you wrong. Aretha was born with a beautiful tone. Aretha is one of gods greatest gifts. Karen is not on her level. There is nothing about Aretha that is overrated. You are full of shit and you don't know a damn thing about what you are talking about.

  • @bradrhuskers tell me your joking!!! you try to put elvis and karen in same catagory with aretha, three different artist three different styles of music, nobody was born with anything, all talents are developed, the three artist above all have totaly different styles. between the three, i never heard karen belt out a single note from the chest, always from the head, and elvis only stole the songs from the artist that he could preform in his style ie. blue suade shoes/ hound dog etc..

  • @teamsterification aretha stole, not elvis, elvis puts aretha to shame.

you are too much of a racist fool to have a serious debate with, elvis stole nothing, and, james brown and ray charles BOTH talked about elvis presley's amazing soul, so a sick weird racist like you, doesnt matter. I have already cited ray charles and james brown as remarking on the powerful soul of elvis presley, so when a sick racist like you, lies about elvis, NO ONE CARES.

  • @teamsterification THEN, you say that elvis stole "hound dog" from big mama thorton? REALLY? OOPS, you lied again! "hound dog" was written by two jewish white boys from new york!!! this is fun and way too easy making a racist dumb moron like you look foolish.

    too easy!

  • Awesome
