Damn, I tried everything to beat this level, I had them wandering all over the entire map. Why so much resources in the air defenses? I only throw down one missile up by the base and had zero problems with the air forces.

I just tried this, and I made the mistake of not separating the entrance and exit with a meandering path, and rather focusing on the exit-cores path. The problem occured when a fresh Juggernaut or Crasher-stuffed Turtle picked up the cores dropped by a Racer.
good job...i just beat this video and went on youtube to see other people's strategy. Yours is way better than mine, I used a lot of building and for the last wave I had to use the laser because they were about to escape :(
I saw lots of little things that I would do different, the important thing is your basic setup where you create a long bottleneck and fortify the hell out of it. I try to concentrate on making towers pull double duty and create aras of concentrated fire where you can make the best use of Temporals and concussion towers.
