this is the MOST amazing aquarium ive seen so far........ it is just Brilliant!!!! i have a couple of questions please: what is the suggested water level in the soil for the differnt species? do you use disteld water? is it absolutely necessary to reduce the heat at night and is it ok to heat the water itself with an aquarium water heater
I just explain "this is the frige compressor, this is a CPU fan, light tube etc......". It's the same things that I have ritten in english on annotations.
wow! vraiment impressionnant... J'ai jamais rien vu d'aussi "hi-tech"! D'après ce que j'ai cru comprendre sur le site du tuto c'est un terrarium ouvert? Si oui pour quelle raison? Une autre question : à quelle distance du sol sont les turbo néons?
Nice terrarium I would like one like that. But I see you have some tropical plants and non tropicales together, what are you going to do when they need to hybern? And what kind of moss are you using inside it?
MAGNIFIQUE!!! =D

so these plants need to be cold? is that the reason for the cold water? Or do they need to be warm and moist, is that the reason for the fogger?
dakoata121212 1 year ago
@dakoata121212 they need both Cold and moist ;)

@SulpherousMercury ow thank you!
generally, you have to put more water on summer than on winter (excepted for the little drosera fro Australia).
I have about 3 or 4 cm of water on winter, and about twice on summer.
I use distilled water (those for Iron are perfect).
the temp parametre depend a lot on plants, you have to read the conditions of culture before starting to do a such installation!
but yes, you can chill or warm the water, depending on your plants ;)
grobenn25 1 year ago
@grobenn25 do you think that 10 cm water is too much since our summers are very hot (they rise up to 30 degrees room temperature)

Good Idea with the mirror.
At first I thought " Wow big Therarium"

how do you put your plant in dormancy in a terranium
ipostouch12 2 years ago
not especially.
I just make the lighting period shorter in winter, that's all.

I miss raising carnivorous plants! I never had a terrarium like this either. Always wanted one of these.

How are your Heliamphora? They dont look too good. You might want to increase the lumen's on your grow lights.
chrisshizzel 2 years ago
I had just bought them before the video.
But they have grown until now :)

merci ^^

tlillan 3 years ago
I will decrease the lighting time during the winter, and boost the freezer compressor. And also decrease the water level of course.
Tropical plants should survive, and non tropical should hybern properly. (I hope this).
the moss on the ground is living sphagnum. On the wall, this is the moss that naturally appears on every substrate.

Very nice! I would take out the Sarracenia purpurea and make sure the tank has a good night drop ;)
