  • $2.20 for gas wow wont complain if I see that again.

  • You are an idiot!

  • where can i find a video thats not bias...if i wanted an expensive foreign car i would look for a foreign car video. im not on that band wagon, compare the repair prices between a american and german car

  • The interior door handles are junk. They snap off in your hand.

  • @cammoclone13 How about claws or hooves?

  • Did he just prank call a gas station?

  • At the end of the video thsi is what people need to relise. It would take 10 years.. 10 YEARS of owning these hybrids that are in the 20k range. To pay itself off vs keeping your already pay for gas guzzling V8.

My 98 Grand Cherokee, with its monster 5.9 Liter V8 engine gets 14mpg in the city. If you buy the low end prius or this ford, 1k miles a month driving. It'll take you 10 years to pay itself off. I'll keep my fully loaded gas guzzler vs having a standard hybrid see ya in 2021

  • @1ownjoo2 at least its a step in the right direction. gas is only going to get more expensive im sure that 10 years will shorten to 6 or 7 in no time at all. its people with the "if it aint broke dont fix it" mentality that hold everyone back. i think if we invest more money in research of hybrids and electric vehicles then they will get cheaper. and more environmentally friendly. you have to start somewhere. and this is as good a time as any.

  • @KingWithNoPawns

Im not saying im not for progress, but my main complaint was the cash for clunkers thing, Most used gas guzzlers were perfectly fine but got crushed and it killed the used car market. It didnt help anyone, I have a neighbor with a Ford escape hybrid and im tired of his 30mpg bragging all the time, he doesnt relise its going to take him at LEAST 7-10 years to equal what im spending in gas, and by then his car is old.. lol so it doesnt make any sense at all right now

  • @1ownjoo2 I think helping the manufacturers was a bit more important than the used car dealers. Besides there is too many of them anyway.

  • @njdevil281

Thats right morem oney to them, less for us... You know the cash for clunkers crushed every car right ? No parts for any used vehicle... Used vehicle prices went up.. Parts went up.. mm yea great program give money to company's who are stashing away cash and not hiring

  • @1ownjoo2 well technically they are hiring, and if we lost the us manufacturers our used car dealers would only be selling used foreign cars in the future, so that would be twice as bad, get over it, the dealers survived.

  • IS250 hybrid? Did he mean HS250h??

  • you do realize that the fusion hybrids are actually less eco friendly than the four cylinder because the batteries are actually using rare earth materials and the batteries weigh a lot also due to the lessened truck space people may go out and have to buy roof racks and boxes which in turn there is pollution in creating the racks and boxes. finally the roof racks will make the car heavier and less aerodynamic if i were to buy a hybrid i would get a mercedes s class hybrid 400

  • @kabbochi lame.

  • i prefer this look over the prius. if thats even a comparison to make

  • This FORD is looking cheap in his interior.Altima i better. The price is an another topic

  • american cars waste gas like ford.....the best american car i kno is probably th corvette zr1

  • @0wnageKillz WTF? Your comment is bull. Ok?

  • @0wnageKillz r flippin insane??? really??? zr1 getting good gas mileage? what in the world r u thinking???

  • yes its a good car

  • its a ford.... it sucks... enough said

  • @SuperAppleX wow...its only been rated one of the best sedans in america

  • "Agent 001" ??? OK...

  • Ford to fix brake problem on Milan, Fusion hybrids

DETROIT — Ford Motor Co. plans to fix 17,600 Mercury Milan and Ford Fusion gas-electric hybrids because of a software problem that can give drivers the impression that the brakes have failed.

  • American car and efectivness - the worlds gone mad

  • @koneye It`s time americans to forget stupid cars like FORD F150 and company

  • no it isnt!!!!!

  • Its a ford car. designed by ford.

It's like saying a Toshiba laptop with Microsoft and NVIDIA isn't a Japanese computer.

  • It's not a Japanese computer. It's a TOSHIBA computer.

  • TOSHIBA is a Japanese owned manufacturer, but often with american components/software.

Toyotas are ugly and unexciting. To say Ford is part Toyota is nuts.

    I'd buy honda over toyota

  • @vancelethurin

Incorrect. Toshiba is a PUBLIC company owned by the public. On the other hand, GM is a PRIVATE company owned mainly by the US Government. Please learn about corporations. Having the global headquarters in a country does not mean that country owns the corporation.

  • Honda's engine is pretty good.

  • Actually the fusion hybrid doesn't use a Toyota hybrid system like the altima. Do some research please.

  • It's licensed from Toyota.

  • No it's really not.

  • @gunzkevin

Yes. It really is. Face it. Ford is a global company based in the US. It's not owned in anyway by the US.

  • @gunzkevin Ford got some patents in the planetary cvt, he can use a "clone" of the hybrid tranny of toyota. Toyota paid some money per prius sold to a compagny who said they have invented this planetary cvt. BTW ford and toyota technology is the same type but not the same battery and cpu... that means its not the same hybrid powertrain....

  • @gunzkevin Yea but the hybrid system is exported from japan... Talk about being an "american" car. :P

  • It looks as though the front license plate bracket was installed off center...

  • Maybe because of the A/C radiator... there are often on the right side

  • I worked at a VW dealer for 5 years. I have seen techs do worse during PDI. I doubt it has anything to do with the air intake of the lower grille.

  • the prius says ready when it is on full power

  • Id rather have the fusion, because it looks better. I would be embarased to drive a crappy prius. My sister has a 07 toyota corola, and she's already having problems with it . She thought she got some thing special. Id buy a honda if I was going to buy a japanese car.

  • If the fusion is "so good" then why isn't the Prius going after the fusion? yeah... end of story.

  • @tenshilvrz that is a terrible argument

  • Besides the fact that ford makes throw automobiles which fall apart after 160K, it may be a good vehicle in the mean time... : )

  • Well at least the info box on the right is correct, but the title and what the guy said in the video is wrong. This is a 2010 Fusion in the video, not a 2009.

  • the interior design still old and looks crap

  • by the way some Ford videos i've noticed that they do not allow negative TRUE facts about their products so people can only see the positive things ignorants write about them, is really sad to see a company sink that low you can tell is them just by looking at who added it for example "fordvideo1" who would use this name really??

  • I bought a new 2010 Prius 2 months ago and paid 23k. It's got AC, PW, PDL, CRUISE, TILT, CD and I'm happy with it. The Fusion is very high in foreign content anyway and 41 mpg isn't as good as 50 mpg, so check out the Prius before deciding. A step in the right direction though for Ford.

  • But, when you see someone driving a Prius, you think. "Damn, what a fucking lame ass looking car, the driver must be a douche for driving Japanese"

  • Shut the hell up half pint, there's adults talkin here! If your brain was half as big as your mouth you'd realize that what a car LOOKS like is secondary to it's reliability and performance. In this case the term performance relates to getting the best MPG possible and the Prius is the leader in that regard. The Fusion isn't built in the USA either, Einstein. Jeeez

  • Well just by the way you talk in your post your age must be... what 16 or 17? Looks are very important in a car, no matter how much you say they aren't. Also, I don't recall saying the Fusion was built in the US, BUT its built by Ford. Last time I checked, they are still an American company. Einstein? Jeeze? =O

  • So the only reason you first responded to me, a total stranger, and called me a douche for driving a Prius is because you don't like the way it looks? And I'm the immature one? If you want an American built mid-size hybrid, check out the Camry, yeah, a Toyota, it's built in Kentucky, not Mexico like the Fushion. I suggest you might want to refrain from leaving smart ass comments unless you have something coherent to add to the conversation.

  • I responded to you, a total stranger, because you bought a new Prius - where is that built? The looks of it are just the tip of the iceberg of why you are a douche and how the car affects that. So you buy this Toyota and where does most of the money go? Sure some of it to the plant and everything in Kentucky, but where is the company's headquarters?

I believe you mean I should refrain adding anything unless its "productive". Coherent would apply to how you spelled Fusion - "Fushion".

  • @DuffyownsYou So what, this isn't a spelling contest. The point is that there aren't hardly any cars built totally in the US anymore. I am impressed with the engineering that went into my Prius, and it is the leader at getting high mpg. Again, the Fusion is built in Mexico, so where does the money go in that case? Toyota has been building plants here, providing US jobs, while Ford and GM are building plants south of the border. It's just true, the Japanese build great cars, get over it.

  • Ford has more plants in the us than toyota does so don't make it seem that toyota is employing more ppl in the us. And the money that ford makes from the sale of a car made in a different country goes to Ford, not the plant, but Ford, so they can keep open their plants in the US and employ more ppl than toyota.

  • @gunzkevin

The GDP goes to the country making the final product. The execs get money from worldwide sales. Basic macroeconomics.

  • Oh sorry, was busy having a life. Forgot about our little conversation here. Never said that the Japanese don't make good cars either. You like to make assumptions, don't you?

My original point had nothing to do with parts or licensing. It has to do with buying something that will help out your economy. Not the economy of another country.

    Do you like your job?

  • Then you might want to urge Ford to develop their own batteries and stop building their cars in "another country" as you just pointed out.

  • yes "the turns are a bit sloppy because its not a bmw ..." yes well those are well SPORTS CARS!

  • Of course, we can tell he's absolutely a car nut.

  • By more Ford products so that the hybrid prices will come down!!

Ford was smart not to take government money! It was due to Ford hiring Deming in the 198's to improve quality and costs that led to cars like the Taurus. It has paid off and they didn't need government money. Ford deserves you support!!

  • I drive my 1993 for Ranger for 11 years. I never has a major problem with the truck. Maybe it was the Mazda engine and transmission. Drive it cross country. It was in such good shape after 11 years that my Jiffy Lube guy asked to buy it from me when he heard me talk about getting a new car. I was surprised my Ford product lasted so long. Ford makes some pretty good cars and trucks now.

  • priuses are queer i laugh at priuses i prefer high performence cars not hybrids for example the camaro with a v8 400 hp engine still manages to get 25 mpg high way

  • Why don't you learn how to write and spell, so people take your comments seriously.

  • really you worry about spelling on you tube?

  • "car on, car off" ummm hello its already there.... off then start... duh.

  • 32 grand for a Ford Fusion? No thanks.

I'll stick with my regular vehicle , fuck this marketing crap about "saving the planet".

Automakers: If you really want to "save the planet", how about making a hybrid that is affordable for the majority of people and not a ripoff? Thank you!

  • Prius starts at 21K.

  • Prius killer? 18,000 Prius units were sold in august...there were less Hybrid Fusion units sold then even the hybrid Camry at 2000+ units.

    So, uh, NO.

  • This is a brand new car which is yet to really be advertised. As of now, Honda and Toyota are known for their efficiency, among other things. Ford is known for their pickups. I think in a few years you will definitely see this car gaining some popularity.

  • Very good movie, and a really cool car !

  • If your F-150 has better interior quality than that, you're on crack. Pre-2010 F-series materials and fit & finish is atrocious!..not saying this is fabulous, but it's much, much better.

  • its funny, "car on, car off"... americans need everything spelled out in plain english... get a manual for most cars and in canada its symbols and in the us everything is in words

  • Just to add to Jersey's point, here is some more illustration of that math (because you probably don't feel like checking it):

gas price: 3.15 yearly miles driven: 14,000

est. MPG diff between 4cyl and hybrid: 15mpg

est. price difference between 4cyl and hybrid: 13,000 IF you take the most loaded hybrid and the LEAST loaded 4 cylinder model.

14,000 miles /15 mpg = 933.33 less gallons needed per year.

933.33 x $3.15 = approximately $2,940 in savings on fuel cost per year.

  • He said that you have to own the car for 30 years for the price difference between the hybrid and the 4cyl to justify itself. I just did the math, and it pays for itself in 3 years, assuming 14,000 miles driven per year and California gas prices of $3.15 per gallon.

  • It's a 2010 ford fushion. Da

  • at 9:05 he says he doesnt think u need to own the car for 30 years to break even. Listen alil more closely people dont shoot the hybrid down. In ten years reg cars will be much higher to maintain.

  • Your comparison price difference between a base model Fusion and a hybrid is a bit off. The base model is VERY stripped down. The $8,000 price difference gets you power seats, auto-climate control, auto-dimming mirrors, SYNC, reverse sensors, keyless entry, ambient lighting, plus better package options. The S model ($19k) doesn't even have an auto-trans, or mirrors in the visors for that matter--you need to go for the $20.5k SE model for that. Feature wise the closest is the $25.5k V6 SEL.

  • Thanks adamsad1, I'm glad I'm not the only one doing the math. At $3.15 over 200,000 mile lifetime I'm showing about $7500 savings on fuel or roughly a break even. Looks like Prius wins when it comes to penny pinching. All of these cars will protect your wallet against gasoline over $5 a gallon.

  • i want to buy this car!!!!

  • This is a Prius killer.

  • Whoever made this video is an imbecile, for one.

Sloppy on the corners? It's got low-rolling resistance tires, no shit. Worse interior than an F-150? Rental-like? Screw you.

Why are you comparing it to the Prius? It's not competing with it ffs, it's competing with the Camry Hybrid, which has all the same battery-related and handling related downsides it has.

Now, to address your comment; it's not a Prius killer because it's not distinctive, and it's a domestic. Hybrid badges won't do.

  • That won't stop it from selling well (I'm seeing as many as new Priuses over here in Quebec), but it's not a Prius killer.

  • I hope people understood that IMPORTANT point he mentioned at the end. YOU NEED TO KEEP THE CAR FOR 30 YEARS to break even in terms of MPG's. I dont think people will rush buying the hybrid version unless they drop the price gap. I bought a 2006 Fusion in 2008 and only paid 12 000 for it. It runs nice and no problems so far. People need to understand that hybrids incurr lots of costs they dont mention, so you save jack shit

  • ВО пиздобол то ))

  • They are in shit, because they fucked up. They built shit purposely made to break. Now they came a long way. Especially the FUsion. I have one and it's fucking nice. That new Hybrid should catch on. I would go for a fusion than the prius. Parts cost less to buy and they are always available. And the fusion is much more comfortable than a prius, so why pay for a name?

  • IS250 hybrid???????WHA?

    or did i hear wrong

  • at 1:15 he said you got to show the neighbors how good you are and how much you care about the economy. ummm why would the hybrid logo show that you care about the economy. maybe the ford logo(buying american). Its saying stuff like that that and making the title say that it is a 2009(when it is a 2010)that makes your video not credible. I hope no one takes his advise on this car. go find out for your self, go drive it it truly is a nice car.

  • 100% agreement here, i was insulted when he said the interior was cheap. i own this car and its amazing.

  • .... i think he meant the environment

  • I was hoping he'd mean that, but he clearly said economy.

As I've said, he's an imbecile.

  • Yeah, and thanks Ford for making the price comparable to cars 100 times better

  • Why does he compare the ride to BMW and Audi? The Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Toyota Prius and Toyota Camry are more likely competitors than a BMW or Audi that costs at least $10k to $20k more.

  • the ford fusion is derived off the mazda 6, basically the same platform & all, just that the fusion is a bit wider than the 6, of course that typical of a japanese since the roads are bit narrower there

  • wat

The Mazda 6 sold here isn't the same one that's sold in Europe and Asia. That was the old one, and regardless, lol.

  • Because he's an idiot.

  • He sounds like michael moore

  • Just an FYI, the title says this car is a 2009 Fusion, but it's actually a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid.

  • 5:28 The reason there's no "CAR ON" button is because Ford wants to sell this car in places where English isn't the language w/o having to bulid a whole new inst. panel!

  • wtf, no.

Remember how you've got modes on an ignition key? That's why. Your car's on when you have it partly turned in, the powertrain isn't on, though.

A lot of symbols on gauge clusters made no fucking sense to me before I owned a car, it's got little to do with ergonomics, it's symbol design. They could think of something better for sure, but if you don't know whether your car's turned on or not, I think they're something inherently wrong with you.

  • dude wtf, im almost 19 and i have the car, its not hard to figure out.

  • there's*, damn me and my lack of proofreading.

  • Great car, way better looking than the Prius. BTW, Ford beat Toyota for initial build quality for the last 3 years. The Fusion is more money, but you get what you pay for. Just want to be a tree hugger? Skip the Prius and get a Insite.

  • Prius does not have to be worried. Ford's engine will go out after so many miles like all their cars have always done.

  • I didn't know ignorant bastards like you are allowed to have youtube accounts. I have a ford whos engine still runs at 15 years dumbass. :(

  • I'm 16, and my first car is most likely going to be My dad's spare car, A 1984 Mustang GT with a 5.0 liter V-8 Engine. It has 286,000 miles, and works like new. MY dad Drives an 06 Mustang GT500 , it already has 61,000 miles, and it drives like new, the manual tranny is still smooth, it even still has the New Car smell. now, I'm not saying that Japanese cars are bad, after all my mom drives a lexus, and its perfect

  • i have a '04 crown vic polce package and it has 150000 miles of beating driving and it still running like a new one. There only the transmission (original one) that i begin to have problem with (not even major one)

    Ford built tough

  • Prius is a puke bucket.

  • LOL and the Fusion is any better with it's bland styling???

  • bland styling??? LMFAO some shit & puke in a mixer looks better than the PRIUS.

  • @rayj778 the prius has a very cheap looking and less informative dashboard display than the fusion it looks like it was taken out of an alarm clock also ive never been a fan of the display being in between the passenger and the driver

  • I love this car.... but is so damn expensive... Ford lower the price!

  • Dinosaur? It get's better fuel economy than it's competitors the Camry hybrid, and Accord hybrid, and the nissan. And ford is very reliable and has just as good of quality as toyota and honda according to independent studies.

  • takes one to know one. ;)

  • he said so the neighbors can see how much u care about the economy lol. aint it the environment?

  • I hope he was refering to "fuel" economy.

  • wish we could have them down here in oz just don't like the prius styling, considering a ford fiesta at the moment

  • body is not bad but that head bumper is just so cheap ugly looking

  • aww y is it sliver = ugly color =[

    he should use RED

  • better this then a prius.. they are good but they look lame ass

  • Unless its an 80k range rover interior, most beige interiors tend to look cheaper than their black interior counterparts

  • It's actually a 2010 model, and I put a down payment on one....looking forward to delivery in a few months.

  • Amazing.

I heard this thing got over 1,400 miles on a tank of gas averaging 81mpg. And its not a stupid little Toyota!

  • better yet, its a stupid unreliable ford... lmao!

  • Thank God what you're saying isn't fact-based because I wouldn't want one.

  • You don'y want a car that can get 40+ mpg, because of what some random dude said?

  • You don'y want a car that can get 40+ mpg, because of what some random dude said?

  • Well, I don't drive hybrids (and don't plan to in the future, either) - but did I say I didn't like the car because of him? No.
