fuck the 401 in the ass with a pipe bomb. hi im canada, i let any immigrant with 2 arms into my country and build a million fucking condos and homes for them all but just keep the same piece of shit non-functioning highway. and then in the winter when the immigrants get into their cars and attempt to drive in the snow, they get into fucking accidents and slow the highway down even more :D i would rather fucking drown in a sinking ship than drive on this cunt strip for 2 hours every morning.
@kurtjahr The George Washington Bridge on I-95 alone has roughly 106 million cars go over it every year. That is almost as many as the entirety of Highway 401. Also I-95 goes through Miami all the way to Maine which goes straight through the Megalopolis of the United States which has a higher population than Canada does. So no Highway 401 is not the busiest in North America.
@cwa1984 actually they are talking about how busy the stretch of highway is through the centre of the city... im pretty sure that no american highway comes close at any single point. also it would be pretty much impossible to get an accurate read on how many cars are on the entire highway at a single point in time considering the same person afew times if he drives a long way.
@cwa1984 a 2008 analysis stated that the annual average daily traffic (AADT) count between Weston Road and Highway 400 in Toronto was approximately 450,000, while a second study estimates that over 500,000 vehicles travel that section on some days. This makes it the busiest roadway in North America... you say 106 million is a lot in a year? Do the math on this highway :)

I-95 is much busier than Highway 401. I-95 is actually the busiest Highway in North America.

@cwa Recorded statistics say otherwise. Besides that, I moved from New York to Toronto. The 401 is way way way way way busier than I-95.
And it's not just that the 401 is busy. It's that it's busy ALL the time, and is busy for a 50 mile stretch
