  • I love this man!!!!!

  • 0:44 class

  • man to many notes

  • have you seen the girl on 0:44 ?

they change their numbers and guy says: "call me" :D:D:D

    GUI IS HERO!!!

  • I've got to ring the bells :) Great vid.

  • 2:30 track ID ?

gui boratto is just : amazing

  • Great footage! Unbeatable song!

  • 323212323132

  • Can you say me the tracks =?

  • Great loop....

I like gui borrato's music but this is 8 minutes of boring

  • this is one of his best records... beautiful life.

  • tjmidge obviously you don't use ableton. The skill is making your own sounds then matching them with different sounds to create the set. And gui boratto is only playing his own tracks and remixes. Before i understood ableton i thought the same as you maybe once you have had the program a few years you will realize how powerful it is, and that beat matching is the easiest part of djing if you think that is the art then your mistaken.... i started on vinyl then cdjs, now ableton! ableton rules

  • gui boratoo is great....but playing thru computers etc sucks in my opinion....no energy, no room for error....no matter what u do u wont mess up its just a case of making it sound brilliant or just good....u wont ever mess up as its all synced..loops, effects, acapellas...there all synced in time for you...its not skillful, technology is eradicating skill. my grandma cud show up with ableton ...if prepared and do a live performance and u wudnt hear a double beat all nighwheres the fun in that?

  • With Ableton you can still make mistakes ...

The fun is that you can put the computer synchronizing everything and you can put your effort in other things like the music itself...thats what Ableton is about...

i doubt that your grandma could do what this guy is doing ...lol

  • yeh not exacly what hes doing but im saying pre arranged synchronisation stuff sucks! anyone cud simply play an arrangement on ableton. ..even my grandma :) haha. but these guys choose their weapon and use it i suppose....to me its just boring. but guis music is AWESOMEEEEE!

  • Yeah Gui Boratto is a fucking great producer, in my opinion Ableton Live is a great solution to producers like him, who have great tracks, they just load the loops and stuff and they go with it.

Everyone can play an arragement on live, but not everyone can play it right...lol

And everyone can beatmatch but it takes a little practice of course...

Look at Richie Hawtin and his live sets, if he didn't used Traktor's sync he couldn't do what he is doing now....rocking the world in my opinion...;)

  • que tanto le mueve a el aparato ese??...no se escucha ningun arreglo en la rola....nomas le hace a la mamada el gui boratto jajaja

  • mt bom !!!!! bem a cara do bali haiiiii..

  • mt bom !!!!!

  • gui borattoooooooooooooooooo

with this track we are a beatiful life

  • where are the decks gui? :/

  • i LuV thiS TRACKKKK....=D

  • Beatiful Life , Gui Boratto !!!

  • Vet filmpje, vette DJ en een vette plaat!

  • de man is hard aan het werk! nice! helaas moeten missen :(

  • Okay these comments on turntables vs midi controllers, Live PA vs djing... are stupid. 1st: a live pa will never exceed the energy of a live DJ. 2nd: its not because the software is beatmatching everything for you (tho this is true). It's because theres NO CUEING when you mix with Ableton. You decide in advance where the song is going to mix in.. that makes no sense unless you already decided what song is going to come before and after it.. in which case I might as well listen to a cd..

  • the other reason why Live PAs generally suck, is because there is no -immediacy- to what you're doing. doing anything spontaneous on a mixing software requires you to some pointer or mouse to really switch things up.. everything just happens really slowly, you have to plan your whole set in advance, basically. btw, a Live PA can be good when the producer spends long hours making custom material for the performance, ie DAFT PUNK.

  • i dj wit ableton live. the only thing different is u can set it 2 only launch clips on the start of a bar and everything is in time. where you cue from, wen you bring it in, all the usual dj stuff applies. its brilliant 4 doing live reedits, and bringing in other loops. and rearranging song structures live if you have the separate parts (synths drums) which can make it abit more like live production.

  • As a traditional DJ for well over a decade, and now a Torq / Ableton Live user, I have to say your argument is a bit skewed. Not all Live PAs are meticulously created ahead of time, nor are they completely automated during performance. I can only imagine that your logic stems from the idea that you've simply not witnessed a Live PA that dispels your current mindset. There are a lot of "PLAY pushers" out there that hit a scene start, and drink a beer until its time to change scenes.

  • Well you don't need to cue is the thing. It's just like traktor or serato. Once it beatmatches for u it gives u the chance to do more cuts and things. I haven't seen too many DJs do what ur suggesting, except for the big acts like Daft Punk who are doing planned out sets for lots of people. Then I can understand setting everything up ahead of time, but they actually still bring stuff in and do effects on the fly.

  • excellent song!!

  • U idiots, this is a live act, he's makin the delays reverbs and magic with the beats he made home! what does this have to do with mixin 2 cds or 2 vynils?

  • *Why* shouldn't he use a laptop to mix? The result is the thing that matters; not the process.... (apology for spelling and multiple post)

  • What shouldn't he use a laptop to mix? The result is the thing that matters; not the process....

  • One other thing, how about we give a noob a Lemur to program and two beats to match, and then ask them which is the more difficult task to accomplish?!? LOL!!!!

  • thats nota dj anymore

he doesent even uses any headphones anymore because the pc is doing a perfect beatmatch for him. No respect from this guy. Go and watch videos of shlomi aber or sven väth, this are still dj's

  • you are rigth he is not a dj, he is a producer and his playing live!!!

And you should respect cous he is a great producer!!! Sven Vath is fan of gui, they played together and sven ofen plays this track in his set!!! you should know before say any shit!

    thanks

  • You got to know it ;)

Where the fuck should u know from that sven is a fan of him :D

  • Sorry for the double post, but beside what i allready wrote, this is still nothing to have respect from. U push some buttons and move some faders, but u don't have to do anything hard, and ur not taking the risk of a complete of beat. Look at shlomi aber, he produces live alswow but hes not using a software he got hes tracks recorded and mixes them

  • Gui Boratto says by himself that he is not a dj he is just presenting a work wich is alredy made....We should respect him as a producer and as an artist, as a art lover i respect everything wich contributes to culture!!

And i've beeing in person to a Festival where Sven Vath played this track!!!

In Melbourne another time i saw gui boratto, sven vath and steve bug together it was amazing!!!

  • Lolz!! What a fool this warriorofhonor is! This is a Live PA. You have heard of a Live PA, yeah?? If not, you really need to keep your mouth shut homie.

And since when did beat-matching become the most difficult skill anyone could ever master, and DJ-ing become the end-all, be-all? Do you write these same posts under a clip of the Rolling Stones playing live?? Lol!!! Get a clue!

  • mas que los pelos, a mi se me pone otra cosa de punta escuchando esto. INCREIBLE!!

  • This track, in spanish: SE ME PONEN LOS PELOS DE PUNTA

  • i dont understand what the square things are and what their doing. is he using abelton live?

  • The scrolling green squares is a Monome, the touchscreen below it is a Jazzmutant Lemur, his mixing surface is a UC33E, and yes, he's using Live.

  • what kind of mixers/effectors is he using?

  • mixing console - M-AUDIO UC33E

  • is a midi control, and he use with jazzmutant both to make a perfect live :D

  • Don't forget the Monome controle... Don't know if its a 40h though?

  • Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life

  • what is that track??
